I really don't care besides the first two. No one besides Aldaron caught my eye.

Yay for no longer needing to list people who I was ordering with no real reason.

Uhh Latinoheat, I clearly demonstrated in the last topic how this Pokemon's Stealth Rock weakness wasn't really a huge issue, since it remained effective against the main STABs of the two most common Pokemon in the standard metagame.

You're point about the resistances is I guess somewhat viable except for the fact that it is countered by the fact that it is weak to Stone Edge, Air Slash / Brave Bird, and Sludge Bomb. Not too common, are they?

It possesses more than enough bulk to switch into neutral attacks, and 95 base Special attack is enough to reach 317...which isn't terrible at all...especially considering its STABs.

Leech Seed + Fire STAB man on a bulky Pokemon...how is that even close to a waste?

12. Aki: 130 / 66 / 102 / 100 / 87 / 60

Deck's and FSS's are the offensive spreads I like most, while Aldaron's and Mekkah's is IMO the best defensive spread of the bunch.

Making this thing that fucking bulky that the 25% switch in damage is negated, just seems as contrived and convienient as giving scylant 121 spd and/or mountaineer.
I don't even want to imagine the fact that this thing is so bulky it can set up a free sub on shit loads of common pokemon and proceed to sub/seed anything that switches in to death.

Umm, so what are you complaining about? First post implied it was a waste (not good enough), second post implied it is too good???

EDIT: Alright latinoheat, honestly, stop trolling this topic. You went off topic, great, I'm not a stickler for that rule anyway. However, answering with a curt "one counter" and providing nothing significant to the topic is embarrassing.

I just don't see why we had to go take one of the best offensive typing's in the game and work against that to make it as defensive as possible. Its like making weavile bulky. Taking two chomp outrages on top of stealth rock is overkill.

That was the wish of the community, not ours. Mekkah and I simply went along with what was decided by the community.

I was initially a proponent of a Chlorophyll Kingdra-equivalent that was physical, remember.

Then the process needs work, the 545 bst was way too high to start with as it is. Its not like this thing wouldn't have been competitive OU with 10-20 less base stats.
There is such a huge difference between 545 and 525 or even 535, but not enough people seem to realise this.

not quite too old for this, apparently

Thats my order. I personally like Dane's the best.

Edit: When this is all said and done, my Dragonite Revenankh counter could work for this too with Stone Edge. It resists STABs and only has to worry about HP Ice or Rock, which won't be on a lot of spreads.

So in other words, you don't agree with the end results of the votes and thus want things changed? Democratic process.

I do agree the process needs to be worked on significantly. Maybe I'll hop over to the workshop to see how it is going...

EDIT: Dane, he is saying the process needs work, which I agree with 100% :/

Yes, but his reasoning for why it needs work seems to be implying he's upset that this thing got voted to be something he didn't want.

i had to play catch up, because i was out of town, but here are my thoughts
1.Lil Ant: 100 / 65 / 95 / 104 / 95 / 78
This is probably the most balanced BST there is on this poll selection. Has even defenses, and great base 100 HP. It has just enough not to seem broken. It's attack is sub-par at best, which actually helps this BST out. Also isn't to fast but yet, isn't to slow. Special Attack with maybe Life Orb, really lets its be a Special Version of a Pokemon named Heracross. Both have great STAB types, just opposite sides of the room from where they attack from ( Special Attacking, and physical attacking. ) I just enjoy looking at the balance of the stats and it reminds me so much of Garchomp, great STAB and all, just like Garchomp, just has the BST of a non broken version.
2.Futuresuperstar: 115 / 80 / 95 / 110 / 70 / 75
I felt this was the 2nd best BST for it's offensive lean. More of the BST have been defensive. This has a highlight all over offense, with the HP for it to still be bulky, sort of like Garchomp. With amazing STAB, this BST definitely takes advantage of it. I do think the attack is a tab bit high
3.Deck Knight: 107 / 80 / 88 / 110 / 88 / 72
This spread is also very balanced and offensive minded. I love this ev spread as well, but i think this Pokemon BST is similar to Future Superstars as well.

My thoughts about the rest

It seems the people under this post, have unbalanced BST or just focus mainly on defense. They are so overwhelmed by the STAB and it the PROBABILITY of getting Leech Seed, they have forgotten to realize, this Pokemon doesn't have defensive typing. Just like Garchomp, sure it has useful resistances such as Rock and Fire, but in Fire/Grass form it's Grass and Electric. So well all know Garchomp is bulky, but will probably never be used as Swampert would be used, which can say the same for this Pokemon. You are trying to make a Pokemon with great STAB and offensive typing DEFENSIVE, tell that ish to Garchomp, see how much his usage goes down.

Thanks for the comment about mine and BRAVO! about the offensive typing speech.

I'm just a lazy shit, so i'm just voting 1. Aldaron and Mekkah and 2. Aki. Rest are just all equal IMO.

I agree 100% with what Meaty said a few posts above. This pokemon has like 3 resistances and is weak to Stealth Rock. IMO focusing too much on defense, like most of the spreads posted. would be a big mistake. Honestly, I don't see how this thing could possibly be broken with any of these spreads considering he can't really beat any Special walls, and has to choose whether it wants to beat Heatran or Dragons (assuming we don't go movepool crazy)

Type: Fire/Grass
New Species or Evolution: New
Style: Balanced Well it looks like Balanced has once again triumphed over the other two selections and with that I bring you the Build poll. In this poll we will discuss the specifics of this monster’s offensive and defensive stats which are what Build means in reference to a Pokémon. As well as discussion about it's Build, well will discussion about it's speed placement since I felt it needed to be decided upon soon.

The following poll is a bold one but with a little twist added to it. The twist is that you’re casting three votes, one for its offensive stats, one for its defensive stats, and one for how fast and/or slow this thing will become. Now the way it suppose to look is like this:
Remember this guys? It is supposed to be balanced. Not offensive, not defensive, just overall balanced. It seems the community is already drifting away to what is wanted. Most of you guys want a defensive leech seeder. Just use Tangrowth with HP fire. Add some variety to the Pokedex. Wasting this great STAB on a SHOULD be offensive Pokemon, but since the idea of Leech Seed was though about, now it should be defensive. You guys even wanting it to be able to live from CB Tyranitar Stone Edge, when will this madness seize!!!!

All of these spreads are within the definition of Balanced. Now it's a matter of, within that balance, how people want the spread to look.

I do agree that an actual check of each spread should have been conducted regarding the slant of special vs. physical and balanced statistics. Many of these spreads are not balanced by definition.

8. Aldaron&Mekkah: 120 / 70 / 105 / 95 / 90 / 60

you really mean to tell me, this is a balanced Pokemon huh? Everyone can see this is CLEARLY defensive

By definition, it's balanced. HP is not currently taken into consideration as it was hard to quantify before this CAP started.
