  1. Pokémon Gyarados

I havent played much of the new metagame but would a SpD Defensive Mega Gyarados with Waterfall/Rest/Sleep Talk/Payback be a good Bulky Water counter? Wouldn't beat Keledo or Azumarill, but certainly helpful against the likes of Jellicent, Starmie, and even Rotom-W. With full HP and SpD...
  2. Pokémon Magnezone

Skarmory is weak to Thunderbolt, why would you use HP Fire?
  3. Theorymon Discussion and Viability Ranking

I wonder how many people would opt for the Electric-immune Golurk to be the new spinblocker? lol
  4. Set Fire to the Rain - OU Sun

Hmmm? Ice isn't weak to HP Ground.
  5. OU Simple Questions, Simple Answers (Read the OP First!)

If I do a Life Orb Giga Drain, do I recoil (Life Orb) first or do I recover (Giga Drain) first?
  6. BW2 General Metagame Discussion Thread

Which Gyarados set would you recommend using as a check, Lavos? SubDD or just regular DD?
  7. Shiftry (BW2 Revamp) [QC 3/3] [GP 2/2]

    Don't forget Hippowdon!
  8. Espeon (Offensive Magic Bounce) (READY FOR UPLOAD)

I havne't used this set myself so I can't judge, but would Morning Sun be worth a mention? It helps make up for that lack of Leftovers recovery, and along with HP Fire works well in the Sun.
  9. Weavile (BW2 Revamp)

You can also mention Ice Punch allows makes sure Toxicroak cannot directly counter you With Ice Punch: 252 Atk Life Orb Weavile Ice Punch vs. 24 HP / 0 Def Toxicroak: 214-253 (68.37 - 80.83%) -- guaranteed 2HKO Without it, you're best bet is too: 252 Atk Life Orb Weavile Ice Shard vs. 24 HP...
  10. Weavile (BW2 Revamp)

Could add Ninetails as a soft check. 252 HP / 120 Def is only 3HKO'd by Weavile without SR, and Flamethrower always destroys back.
  11. Victim of the Week v2, Kyurem

Cradily (M) @ Leftovers Trait: Storm Drain EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk) - Stealth Rock - Recover - Toxic/Energy Ball - Hidden Power [Rock] The Support Cradily set from online, works really well. Even without investment, HP Rock can still break Gyarados subs. Cradily is...
  12. Theorymon Discussion and Viability Ranking

What if Gyarados got Roost? Gyarados has a good defensive type, and decent bulk once you factor Intimidate. But RestTalk isn't the most reliable form of healing this gen. Roost would help Gyarados repeatably switch into stuff like Special Landours.
  13. Gen 5 The OU Viability Ranking thread

Wait, I thought a +2 Gyarados* outsped 108 Scarfers? I'll doublecheck when I'm at home, but other than that I agree with most of your post. *Jolly nature with 168 Spe EV's is the site's spread for SubDD. Edit: @Lavos Spawn: Alright then, fair enough.
  14. RBY In-Game Tiers (COMPLETE)

I would change the sprites for Yellow-exclusive analysis, example: RB Bulbasaur Y Bulbasaur
  15. Gen 5 The OU Viability Ranking thread

Empoleon can't really switch into Earthquake varaints of Gyarados though.
  16. Gengar (Choice Scarf) (QC 3/3) (GP 2/2)

Should Sludge Bomb get a mention somewhere? Poison has poor SE coverage, but it's a guarantee OHKO on Breloom and a 2HKO on SpD Celebi (Shadow Ball needs SR to guarantee a 2HKO on 252 HP / 236+ SpD Celebi).
  17. Gen 5 The OU Viability Ranking thread

Breloom would just Mach Punch Weavile anyway.
  18. Smogon's Stat Exchange

Gyarados HP - 95 Atk - 79 Def - 125 SpA - 100 SpD - 60 Spe - 81 Bulky as shit on the physical side (especially with Intimidate), but fragile as shit on the Special Side. Basically like Cloyster in the real metagame. I think Gyarados would make for a good Physical Wall: Rest/Sleep...
  19. Smogon's Stat Exchange

Oh right, his Atk is now his better stat, but IDK if he learns Iron Head. There is Gyro Ball though.
  20. Smogon's Stat Exchange

Bullet Punch Scizor I suppose. Magone Magnezone since he resists BoltBeam and has STAB Flash Cannon.
