Goodra can make use of its monstrous special bulk to deal with special attackers such as Heliolisk, and Roserade, even avoiding a Sleep Powder from the latter due to Sap Sipper. Its colorful coverage and high power after a Choice Specs boost allow it to be quite the hurdle for unprepared teams. Sadly, Choice Specs makes it very prediction-reliant. Sludge Bomb hits Sylveon and other fairies like Gardevoir for at least a 2HKO. Fire coverage is useful for hitting Bronzong and other Steel-types like Copperajah and Escavalier, Fire Blast is preferred for the higher damage output and better rolls versus something like Celebi, but Flamethrower still suffices, 2HKOing Copperajah and Bronzong, whereas still OHKOing Escavalier. Last but not least Hydro Pump does a ton to Gigalith and can also nab a surprise OHKO on Rhyperior. Thunderbolt is another option on the other hand, mostly for Milotic, but also hitting other bulky Water-types like the rarer Vaporeon and Mantine.
Teammates that can pressure Wish Sylveon are a given for Goodra. The likes of Darmanitan and Galarian Weezing come to mind, Darmanitan also pressures Steel-types making it easier for Goodra to click Draco Meteor more freely. Copperajah, Bronzong, Rhyperior, and Gigalith help switch into Noivern, Sylveon, and Gardevoir, and setting useful Stealth Rock for Goodra. More physically defensive Pokémon are also useful, as Goodra is of no use on that aspect. Milotic comes to mind, checking the likes of Cobalion and Darmanitan, while in return, Goodra deals with Grass- and Electric-types, like Roserade and Rotom-W. The aforementioned Galarian Weezing is also a great teammate, being able to check Flygon and Haxorus safely for Goodra, while Goodra can cover special attackers like Celebi and Espeon in return. Pivots that can bring Goodra in are very welcome, Rotom-W gives a free Volt Switch on Grass-types like Celebi and Roserade that Goodra forces out, and Incineroar gets Goodra on a Rhyperior or a Milotic with U-turn or Parting Shot, Knocking Off Gigalith and Sylveon's Leftovers also goes a long way to help Goodra break. Last but not least, Sylveon helps checks opposing Dragons, and can easily pass Wishes to Goodra, especially against the common Roserade that will switch into Sylveon.
