I'm mainly directing this at judges, but I believe the public should be able to access this information too.
Here is the current nomination system, as I've been told...
-Choose 5 sprites
-Put them in your preferred order (best to worst)
Then, they get 5, 4, 3, 2 & 1 point respectively.
I think that's a flawed system. I'll explain why.
It gives very little flexibility to the judges. Gives them very little opportunity to portray their actual opinion. What if they weren't impressed by any of the sprites? What if they liked one sprite far above the others? What if they liked a few equally?
So, I propose a new judging system. It goes something like this...
-Choose 5 sprites
-Each sprite must be given a minimum of 1 point, maximum of 3
-ONE sprite may be given 4
-May only give a maximum of 11 points total
So, an example might be...
John: 3
Jack: 3
Jarod: 2
Jenny: 2
Jamie: 1
Or, if all of them sucked in your eyes, you could just give 5 sprites 1 point. Or you might like one a lot better than the others, so you give that 4.
