Here Beedrill attempts to raise its mediocre Attack from 259 to 518. With a Life Orb this figure becomes 673. The problem with this set is Stealth Rock can ruin Focus Sash, which is why it isn't present here. With something as frail as Beedrill, it might as well attempt to hit as many Pokemon as it can. Brick Break is Beedrill's best weapon against Rock and Steel-types, Aerial Ace demolishes Bug / Poison-types, and Pursuit is his best weapon against Ghost-types.

Choice Band
With a Choice Band attached, Volbeat can actually do some damage in the lower tiers. U-turn will be your main move, allowing for safe switches and hitting bulky Psychic and Grass-types, but use it carefully, because you only have two chances to switch back in with Stealth Rock up. Zen Headbutt provides good coverage with the listed moves, and hits the common Poison-types like Nidoqueen and Muk. Brick Break or Focus Punch rounds out coverage on this set, hitting Normal, Rock, and Steel-types that this set otherwise can't touch. Trick allows you to screw up an opposing wall with an unwanted Choice Band, but Aerial Ace allows you to hit other Bug-types.
The EVs are obvious, maximum Attack allows for a stat of 403 with the Choice Band and an Adamant nature. A Jolly nature can be used, but normally Volbeat wants as much power as it can get. The rest of the EVs are not put into HP because Volbeat needs to switch into Stealth Rock more than twice.
