So thoughts on the Smash additions

Deoxys - Fantastic mon. Fills a variety of roles on a team, gives the tier well needed flexibility so more dynamic pokemon can be added. Has a decent offensive set, breaks the cursed 100 speed tier. Nasty Plot or Hazard Lead will most like be its most successful sets.

Deoxys @ Psychium Z
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Ability: Trace
Timid Nature
- Nasty Plot
- Psycho Boost
- Focus Blast
- Ice Beam / Shadow Ball

While its Special Attack is low, Nasty Plot and a massive Shattered Psyche allow Deoxys to effectively wallbreak the opposing team. If the team lacks anything that outspeeds it, a sweep maybe more than possible.

Deoxys @ Focus Saah
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Ability: Pressure / Trace
Timid Nature
- Spikes
- Taunt
- Stealth Rock
- Psycho Boost

Good lead set lol. Nice beginings for future Hyper Offensive playstyles.

Nailsage - Adds another fast mon that the tier really likes. Has decent stab but the coverage isnt all that great. Also hates priority and the tier has lots of that. Most likely will either be choiced or have a SD Z Set.

Great Nailsage Sly @ Choice Band / Choice Scarf
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Ability: Steelworker
Jolly Nature
- Great Slash
- Lunge
- Dash Slash
- Sacred Sword / Rapid Spin

Either being a wallbreaker or a strong speed control option, Nailsage can fit that with this set. Great Slash is its powerful main STAB with 120 BP. Lunge is a secondary STAB that can hit plenty of the bulky waters in the tier for good damage as well. Dash Slash is to keep up momentum, and the last slot really depends on what item is being used. Choice Band really likes Sacred Sword to 2HKO Steel type switchins, while Scarf would rather pivot out of Steels, it can then use Rapid Spin to offer additional utility.

Great Nailsage Sly @ Fightinium Z / Steelium Z
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Ability: Steelworker
Jolly Nature
- Swords Dance
- Great Slash
- Lunge
- Sacred Sword

Swords Dance set here. Fightnium Z is the prefered item so it can have a means to break past Steel types, but if Steel types are as big of an issue, Steelium Z can be ran to have a powerful STAB nuke.

Harmonian Gliscor - Tier lacks birds. Lacks many defensive stuff. H. Gliscor swoops in and gives alot. Nice physical tank. Unaware proves very useful for the existence of defensive teams going forward. Hot pick.

Harmonian Gliscor @ Leftovers
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 Spe
Ability: Unaware
Impish Nature
- Amp Slam
- Knock Off / U-Turn
- Roost
- Defog / Stealth Rock

Great defensive typing and bulk, in combination with its ability Unaware allows it to be a great physical wall.

Kirby-Rock: Has simipar flexibility and unpredictability like Deoxys, but to an even greater degree. Its astounding movepool is held back by its ehh typing and poor speed, but should be a hot mon moving forward.

Kirby-Rock @ Sky Plate
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Ability: Dancer
Jolly Nature
- Dragon Dance
- Star Spit
- Stone Edge
- Earthquake / Fire Punch

Set up sweeping set. Kirby-Rock can probably run a multitude of sets, but this one will most likely be the best one so far. Once problematic walls are gotten rid of, Kirby-Rock can attempt a sweep. It is pretty slow even after one boost, so care should be taken to eliminate all potential Scarfers.

Delta Latias: Fav mon of the bunch. Finally gives the tier another Steel type, and one with SpD. Its Mega form is a fantastic wall, and even its base form can fit on teams decently well thanks to its generally great typing w/ Levitate. Also only one of 2 available Wish users. Should be exciting.

Delta Latias @ Latiasite
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Ability: Levitate
Timid Nature
- Discharge
- Roost
- Ice Beam
- Defog / Wish

Fits well on offensive teams that would like a Defogger, can use wish for more balance like builds.

Abomasnow's Megas: I dont like them very much tbh. X is a great mon dont get me wrong, but like we got enough water boys. At least it gives defensive builds variety in what megas they can pick, which is great. Aboma Y has to play it alot safer, since it can only set hail for 5 turns for it to abuse, so it will be rather self sufficent in that regard. Least we have another Hail setter. Hail also being the inly main offensive weather in the tier is something I def can support.

Decidueye-Sinnoh: Another good Hail sweeper. Breaks the cursed speed tier outside of hail too which means it can be used on vanilla teams which I always pine for. Hates Sucker Punch tho, and I assume more and more Dark types will rise up to fuck it up.

Since Swap Sail was added as an item, does that mean that both vanilla Amaura and Aurorus are added to the metagame?

Pokemon: Raichu-ex
Mod of Origin: All the Aces V1
Type: Electric
Ability: Rai-Shield: This pokemon takes 1/2 damage from Mega and EX Pokemon (meaning other Raichu-ex if this gets in) (as well as Level X, Break, and GX pokemon, but there are currently none of those in the roster), and 3/4 damage from anything else.
Stats: 60/120/55/90/80/130 (BST: 535)
Additional Moves: Dazzle Blast (Electric, Physical, 95 BP, 100% Accuracy, 30% Confuse the target)
Overview: A strong physical attacker that has a good matchup against Mega Evolutions like Mega Gengar-Alola and Mega Abomasnow-X thanks to it's Ability. Also does well against the majority of the Bulky Water type pokemon in the metagame.

Pokemon: Arcanine
Mod of Origin: AbNormal
Type: Fire
Ability: Intimidate / Flash Fire / Justified
Stats: 90/110/80/100/80/95 (BST: 580)
Additional Moves:
Attract (Fairy), Bide (Rock), Body Slam (Ground), Captivate (Fairy) Confide (Dark), Covet (Fairy), Double Edge (Steel), Double Team (Ghost), Endure (Fighting), Extreme Speed (Fire), Facade (Fighting), Flash (Electric), Frustration (Dark), Giga Impact (Dark), Headbutt (Rock), Helping Hand (Fairy), Hidden Power (Fairy), Howl (Fire), Hyper Beam (Dark), Laser Focus (Fighting), Leer (Dark), Mimic (Psychic), Morning Sun (Fire), Natural Gift (Grass), Odor Sleuth (Bug), Protect (Psychic), Rage (Dark), Retaliate (Dark), Return (Fairy), Roar (Dragon), Round (Flying), Safeguard (Psychic), Secret Power (Psychic), Skull Bash (Rock), Sleep Talk (Psychic), Snore (Psychic), Strength (Rock), Substitute (Poison), Swagger (Dark), Swift (Fairy), Take Down (Rock), Thrash (Dark)

Overview: This one will be a curveball for some. How can an RU pokemon with the same typing, abilities, and stats as vanilla be worthy of adding into the roster? It is all because of one move; Extreme Speed. In AbNormal, Extreme Speed is changed from it's normal type to Fire type, allowing for Arcanine to have STAB on it. It also appreciates its wider coverage pool, including Ground type Body Slam, Steel Type Double Edge, Fairy Type Return, and Rock Type Strength. Arcanine will create a balance in a metagame that is full of bulky Grass type Pokemon and Hail.

Item: Tundra Seeds
Mod of Origin: Itemized
Effect: When Held by Snover or Abomasnow under hail, summons Grassy Terrain and sets up Leech Seed on the opposing side, consumed after use.

Pokémon: Scarix
Mod of Origin: Eevee'd
Stats: 70 / 120 / 110 / 30 / 70 / 110 (510, 70 / 160 / 110 / 30 / 110 / 130 in Mega)
Type:
/

Abilities: No Guard, Moxie, Rough Skin, Unbreakable in Mega
Unbreakable: Immune to Punching moves.
Additional moves: Onix's movepool +Bulk Up, Counter, Close Combat, Cross Chop, Final Gambit, Hammer Arm, Low Sweep, Mach Punch, Revenge, Submission, Superpower, Accelerock, Fire Punch, Ice Punch, Thunder Punch, Poison Jab, Psychic Fangs
Overview: Fulfills the need for a non-mega Fighting type and another Rock type. It can sweep, revenge kill and set hazards, all with good offense and bulk. While base is better for all-out-attacking, Mega is good as a speedy tank. As for beating it, Deoxys, Mega Abomasnow X and Baloon are your best choices, with Florges and Eternal Lileep also being solid checks.

Pokémon: Typhlosion
Mod of Origin: Cool Funky Mode
Stats: 78 / 84 / 69 / 109 / 85 / 109 (534)
Type:

Abilities:
Blaze, Flash Fire, Drought
Flash Fire: Upon being activated, raises higher Attacking stat by 1.
Additional/Modified moves: Blast Burn, Fire Blast, Fire Punch, Focus Blast, Overheat, Scald, Solar Beam, Thunder Punch, Wild Charge
Blast Burn: 50% recoil, 10% chance to burn, no recharge turn
Fire Blast: 120 BP
Fire Punch: 80 BP
Focus Blast: 80% accurate
Overheat: 140 BP, 10% chance to burn
Scald: BP not reduced in regular sunlight or Desolate Land
Solar Beam: no charge turn, BP halved in any weather other than Sun
Thunder Punch: 80 BP
Wild Charge: 90 BP, 25% recoil, 10% paralysis chance
Overview: The best check around to Delta Latias and Mega Abomasnow Y/Sinnoan Decidueye Hail shenanigans. Once he's on the field, you'll be hardpressed to find a switch-in to his nuclear Fire attacks, including his famous Eruption. Offensive checking is ideal by using fast mons such as Mega Lopunny or Deoxys.

Pokémon: Dragonair-Eternal
Mod of Origin: Eternal Pokemon
Stats: 91 / 114 / 94 / 90 / 109 / 101 (599)
Type:
/

Abilities: Shed Skin, Marvel Scale
Additional moves: Ardent Strike
Ardent Strike: Physical 90 BP, 15 PP, 100% accurate Dragon move, ignores immunities
Description: A menacing bulky sweeper/Extreme Speed spammer with good stats and powerful moves that can check the almighty Gengar-Alola as well as Goodra. Fairies are the key to taking it down: Mega Lopunny and Baloon do so nicely. Steel types such as Doublade-Alola are also bothersome for it.

Pokémon: Staraptor
Mod of Origin: SylveMons
Stats: 85/120/70/50/60/100
Type:

Abilities: Intimidate / Reckless
Additional moves: Plume Cannon*, Slipstream*, Bulk Up, High Jump Kick, Flying Press, Sky Uppercut*
Plume Cannon - Flying-type Bullet Seed
Slipstream - 60 BP, 100% Acc, 32 PP, Flying-type, Physical, The user switches out after successful use. Deals double damage under Tailwind
Sky Uppercut - Fighting-type Physical Freeze-Dry that's super effective against Flying-types.

It's like vanilla Staraptor, but like good. Matches up pretty well against the current meta while being defensively checked by Baloon and Gliscor and offensively checked my Mega Lopunny, Decidueye, and Mega Gengar.

Pokémon: Rotogeist-Oven
Mod of Origin: Evos for Everyone
Stats: 65/65/127/115/127/96
Type:

Abilities: Levitate
Notable Moves: Plasma Jolt*, Moonblast, Flash Cannon, Recover
Plasma Jolt - Electric Vacuum Wave

WIP

Beats Easy: Flygon, Florges, Nailsage, Latias, Aboma, Baloon, Decidueye, regular Gengar, Doublade
Hard Loses to: Mega Gengar, Nihi, Doublade, Silly Putty, Goodra, Wishiwashi, Swap Sail Aurorus

Pokémon: Spiritomb
Mod of Origin: Optimons
Stats: 70/112/108/112/108/35
Type:

Abilities: Pressure / Infiltrator / Sheer Force
Notable Moves: Night Daze, Strength Sap, Phantom Force, Swords Dance

WIP

Beats Easy: Banette(-Megas), Deoxys, Decidueye
Hard Loses to: Baloon, Lopunny(-Mega)
Seemingly neutral against most things, depends on the set (Ex: Strength Sap + Calm Mind can power through Flygon, but Status from Nihilego bodies it. On the other hand, Pursuit trapper Tomb can bust through Nihilego but Flygon dents it badly)

*pretend that there's a sprite here*
Pokémon: Komodith
Mod of Origin: Roulettemons
Stats: 70/134/101/123/103/69
Type:

Abilities: Liquid Voice / Beast Boost / Dancer
Notable Moves:
Iron Head, Flash Cannon, Dragon Claw, Dragon Pulse, Earthquake, Gunk Shot, Healing Wish, Night Slash, Overheat, Aurora Veil, Horn Leech, Earth Power, Ice Shard, Zen Headbutt, Draco Meteor, Psycho Boost, Bulk Up, Boomburst, Relic Song, Brave Bird, Trump Card, Secret Power, Land's Wrath, Sunny Day, Spike Cannon, Work Up, Bestow, Constrict, Freeze Shock, Bullet Seed, Razor Leaf, Floral Healing, Crush Grip, Shock Wave, Helping Hand, Lock-On, Disarming Voice, Razor Wind, Fling, Tickle

WIP - Bulky Attacker with a great defensive typing, set up in Bulk Up, Aurora Veil to support Hail teams (and keep Veil balanced cuz it can't set up without a teammate and it's slow), and numerous attacking options on both sides of the coin.

Beats Easy: Baloon, Nihilego, Steve, Porygon2, Florges, Goodra, Kirby, Abomasnow, Deciudeye
Hard Loses to: Flygon, Lopunny-Mega, Trapinch, Camerupt, Latias (unless you run something cheeky like Z-Overheat)

Does really well against most walls but struggles against offense, the definition of a wallbreaking specialist

Pokémon: Skarmory
Mod of Origin: Cool Funky Mode
Stats: 70/95/140/30/70/85
Type:

Abilities: Keen Eye* / Sturdy / Weak Armor
Additional Moves: Bulldoze*, Iron Head*, Rock Smash*, Stone Edge* (Night Slash removed)
Keen Eye - Ignores Accuracy modifiers and boosts accuracy by 30%
Bulldoze - 80 BP, 90% Acc, 50% chance to lower Speed
Iron Head - 90 BP
Rock Smash - 60 BP
Stone Edge - 85% Acc, can't miss in Sandstorm

WIP

Beats Easy: Lopunny, Flygon, Trapinch, Lileep, Florges, Nailsage, Kirby, Abomasnow
Hard Loses to: Gengar, Camerupt, Porygon2, Latias

Item: Heavy Moss
Mod of Origin: Spookdex
Effect: Doubles the user's weight

Sorry to keep you waiting!

Pokémon: Pit
Type: Normal/Fairy
Ability: Oblivious / Unaware / Mold Breaker [HA]
Stats: 80/120/80/110/80/110 [BST 580]
Kinda Notable Moves: (full list of moves here) Psyshock, Ice Beam, Thunderbolt, Return, Shadow Ball, Flamethrower, Sludge Bomb, Fire Blast, Energy Ball, Scald, Charge Beam, Shadow Claw, Stone Edge, Swords Dance, X-Scissor, Poison Jab, Flash Cannon, Wild Charge, Dark Pulse, Drain Punch, Drill Run, Earth Power, Fire Punch, Gunk Shot, Ice Punch, Knock Off, Liquidation, Signal Beam, Stealth Rock, Thunder Punch, Moonblast, Hydro Pump, Power-Up Punch, Close Combat, Aura Sphere, Air Slash, Psycho Cut, Night Slash, Leaf Blade, Double-Edge, Water Shuriken, Rock Blast, Z-Rock Wrecker, Meteor Mash, Mach Punch, Sacred Sword
Role Identification: Mediocre bulk, but decent 120/110 offenses and usable 110 Speed. He doesn't have very good physical STAB coverage, but boy howdy is that movepool colossal. The scarcity of STAB options is Pitty Pat's nastiest flaw, though, but the coverage should at least suffice, as Aura Sphere + Shadow Ball is only resisted by a possible Normal/Ghost, which Pit has other options for...

You asked for more Fire Types! (And Dark physical mons ig)
Pokemon: Incineroar
Mod of Origin: OptiMons
Typing: Fire / Dark
Stats: 115 HP / 125 Atk / 95 Def / 80 SpA / 90 SpD / 95 Spe
Ability: Blaze / Intimidate
New Moves: Sucker Punch, Superpower, Wild Charge, Knock Off, Blaze Kick, Power Trip, Haze, Pursuit
Competitive Impact: Incineroar gives the tier a strong Fire type and a Pursuit trapper. With its solid bulk and Intimidate allows it to beat plenty of physical attackers that hit it nwutrally, and has strong priority to revenge kill sweepers.

You asked for a Deoxys check! (Bruh better not whip out Ghostium Z or some dumb shit)
Pokemon: Mesprit
Mod of Origin: OptiMons
Typing: Psychic / Fairy
Abilities: Levitate / Magic Guard (HA)
Stats: 85 HP / 90 Atk / 115 Def / 115 SpA / 115 SpD / 80 Spe | BST: 600
Added Moves: Recover, Moonblast, Nasty Plot
Competitive Imapct: Its a better Clefable. And lord this metagane needs a Clefable. Stall and Balance alike appreciate The presence of Mesprit, giving teans an all around solid defensive Fairy type, with U-Turn, Stealth Rock, Knock Off, and a strong Moonblast enable it to be a constant threat. Access to wide coverage, Recovery, Healing Wish and boosting means Mesprit will never be a passive or useless threat one your team.

You asked for MOAR STEELES! (I give you a Dragon type too)
Pokemon: Steelix and Mega Steelix
Mod of Origin: Movin' On Up
Typing: Steel / Ground
Mega Form: Steel / Dragon
Abilities: Sturdy / Strong Jaw / Sheer Force
Mega Form: Iron Barbs
Stats: 83 HP / 105 Atk / 200 Def / 65 SpA / 80 SpD / 57 Spe
Mega Form: 83 HP / 145 Atk / 230 Def / 65 SpD / 110 SpD / 57 Spe
Notable Moves: Coil, Outrage, Glare, Dragon Rush
Competitive Impact: Another great Steel type to help bolster the meta's defensive prowess, Steelix can help the Electric infested Smash Mod with its important Ground typing. Has Coil if it wants to be a defensive sweeping set as well. Its Mega Form also adds another great Dragon type that can threaten stuff out with its outstanding bulk and power.

You asked for sweepers!! (Rare example of a balanced FE Pokémon)
Pokemon: Cargolure
Mod of Origin: Fusion Evolution
Typing: Ghost/Fire
Stats: 70 HP / 67 Atk / 120 Def / 125 SpA / 100 SpD / 70 Spe
Ability: Flame Body
Notable Moves: Shell Smash, Fire Blast, Flamethrower, Shadow Ball, Earth Power, Energy Ball, Will O Wisp, Recover, Stealth Rock, Destiny Bond
Role Description: Smash Mods lacks sweepers. This is undeniable fact. We have fast wallbreakers, slow wallbreakers, but very few Pokémon that need to set up in order tobeat a team after it has been weakened. Enter Cargolure. Cargolure seems like an average Pokemon at first, but combine its access to Shell Smash and its great offensive typing and Cargolure becomes a sweeping beast! Shell Smash makes it both very fast and very powerful, and with great coverage between its STABs and Energy Ball/Earth Power, it hits most of Smash Mods for neutral damage.

You wanted more FAST mons! (A meta where Unfezant can shine?)
Pokemon: Unfezant
Mod of Origin: Type Optimisation
Typing: Flying
Stats: 80 HP / 115 Atk / 80 Def / 82 SpA / 80 SpD / 133 Spe
Ability: Big Pecks / Technician / Aerialate
Notable New Moves: Swords Dance, Brick Break (lol), Defog
Competitive Impact: Unfezant is a very fast Pokémon. If it is voted in, it would be ranked as the second fastest mon in the tier, and that is plenty helpful when you are droppinh heavy Ate boosted attacks. Its not without flaws however, as Unfezant's only means of damaging Steel types cone from Brick Break of all things, its hardwalled by plenty of common mons in Smash, but in spite of that expect Unfezant to keep reminding you of why its the best offensive bird in the tier.

Item: Lakeguardium-Z
Mod of Origin: Z-Moves Everywhere
Effect: Uses Sprite of Benevolence, using Z-Healing Wish the incoming Pokemon gets +1 in its highest stat. Requires Healing Wish.

Item: Big Root
Mod of Origin: G-Luke's Ideal World
Effect: Boosts the power of Draining moves by 50% and the amount they drain by 25%

Pokémon: Maskle
Mod of Origin: Fusion Evolution

Type:

Ability: Bad Influence - Upon switch-in, all adjacent foes have their stat boosts reversed.
Additional moves: U-turn, Knock Off, Struggle Bug, Infestation, Icy Wind, Stealth Rock, Sticky Web, Roost, Defog, Whirlwind, Gastro Acid

Set up? How about set down?

Pokémon: Staryu-Eternal
Mod of Origin: Eternal Pokémon
Stats: 66 HP, 66 Atk, 67 Def, 125 SpA, 83 SpD, 112 Spe (519 BST)
Type:

Abilities: Illuminate, Natural Cure, Analytic
Additional moves: Turbo Spin - Fire, Special, 50 BP (council nerf), 100 Acc, 15 PP | Removes hazards from the user's side, and frees the user from Leech Seed and partial trapping. The user switches out after executing this move. | Z-Move: 100 BP Inferno Overdrive

The epitome of offensive hazard removal.

Pokémon: Piloswine-Eternal
Mod of Origin: Eternal Pokémon
Stats: 104 HP, 105 Atk, 95 Def, 65 SpA, 105 SpD, 55 Spe (529 BST)
Type:

Abilities: Oblivious, Snow Cloak, Thick Fat
Additional moves: Pile Up - Ground, Other, 10 PP | Restores 50% max HP. Has a 25% chance to raise the user's Attack, Defense, Special Attack, Special Defense, or Speed by 1 stage (basically 5% for each). | Z-Move: Removes all negative stat changes.

Infamous Ground tank in its OM, ranked A+ in viability due to the combination of its pure Ground typing, Thick Fat, and movepool.

Pokémon: Ribombee
Mod of Origin: Revving Up
Stats: 60 HP, 55 Atk, 60 Def, 105 SpA, 70 SpD, 130 Spe (480 BST)
Type:

Abilities*: Honey Gather, Shield Dust, Sweet Veil
Additional moves: Sleep Powder, Memento

Slightly faster, stronger, and more utile than the average Ribombee.
*In Revving Up, Honey Gather restores 1/16 HP per turn, and Shield Dust reduces the damage of affected moves to 0.7*.

Pokémon: Bastiodon
Mod of Origin: Type Optimisation
Stats: 60 HP, 50 Atk, 120 Def, 135 SpA, 100 SpD, 105 Spe (570 BST)
Type:

Abilities: Sand Force, Sand Rush, Sand Stream
Additional moves: Shore Up, Calm Mind, Power Gem

Specially oriented all-arounder that can set its own sand or abuse that of Sylvemons Flygon. Either way, it has Stealth Rock, all the special movepool it needs, and Shore Up to stay strong in spite of its typing.

Pokémon: Forecastle (Castform evolution)
Mod of Origin: Eevee'd
Stats: 90 / 70 / 70 / 110 / 70 / 110 (520)
Type:

Abilities: Prognosis (Forecast clone) - Changes into Steel on Hail, Rock on Sunlight, Grass on Rain.
Additional moves: Nature Power, Secret Power, Earth Power, Flash Cannon, Ancient Power, Power Gem, Energy Ball, Giga Drain, Volt Switch, Ingrain

Instead of utilizing the weather for its own use, Forecastle is designed to become a type that checks the weather users. Of the current weather users we have now:
  • Forecastle's base form doesn't take passive damage from Sandstorm, resists Flygon's Bug STAB, can outspeed it and can hit it with Fire, Water, Ice or Flying coverage.
  • Forecastle's Hail form resists both of Mega Abomasnow Y's STABs and can beat him with Fire, Flying or STAB Steel moves. Watch out for Focus Blast though.
  • Forecastle's Hail form also resists Sinnoan Decidueye' Ice STAB and takes neutral from Ghost, though Low Sweep may be a problem.
  • Forecastle's Hail form also resists Aurorus' STABs and takes neutral from its Electric coverage, but takes SE damage from Earth Power. However, Forecastle has Flying and Ice coverage needed to beat Swap Sail Aurorus.
  • If we end up getting a Rain user with Thunder, the Grass form will take care of it.
  • However, a Rain user with Hurricane, or a Sunlight user with Solar Beam will be able to beat Forecastle's Rain and Sunlight forms, especially if they're faster than base 110.
Outside of its weather gimmick, Forecastle outspeeds or speed ties most of the tier, and has (among other types) Ground/Electric/Flying coverage which is unresisted, on top of providing a fast pivot option to the team in Volt Switch.

Pokémon: Dragon
Mod of Origin: Fusion Evolution
Stats: 88 / 100 / 100 / 121 / 116 / 81 (606)
Type:

Abilities: Levipoison*
*If this Pokémon is hit with a Ground-type attack, the attacker is poisoned. Grants the Pokémon with this ability an immunity to ground.
Moves: Hydreigon and Dragalge's movepools + Solar Eclipse*
*Solar Eclipse (130 BP | Dark | Special | 90% Acc | 8 PP | -2 Special Attack after use.)

Dragon is here to put an end to the "Big Three" fast/priority abuser attackers in the meta.
1. Deoxys hard counter (doesn't even care about Nasty Plot):
Code:
252 SpA Deoxys Focus Blast vs. 252 HP / 4 SpD Dragon: 96-114 (25.2 - 30%) -- 2.6% chance to 3HKO after Stealth Rock
252 SpA Life Orb Deoxys Focus Blast vs. 252 HP / 4 SpD Dragon: 125-148 (32.8 - 38.9%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Stealth Rock
+2 252 SpA Deoxys Focus Blast vs. 252 HP / 4 SpD Dragon: 192-226 (50.5 - 59.4%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock

252 SpA Dragon Dark Pulse vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Deoxys: 216-254 (89.6 - 105.3%) -- 31.3% chance to OHKO
0 SpA Dragon Solar Eclipse vs. 0 HP / 0 SpD Deoxys: 282-332 (117 - 137.7%) -- guaranteed OHKO
2. Trapinch counter. Immune to Ground, resists Dark, can't be trapped because it levitates. However, while offensive Dragon sets run Focus Blast and can dish big damage to it, defensive sets can't do much against Trapinch.

3. Mega Lopunny check. This match up is HP dependant, as Lopunny can outspeed and finish off a low HP Dragon, but Dragon OHKOs if it survives.
Code:
252 Atk Lopunny-Mega High Jump Kick vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Dragon: 220-259 (57.8 - 68.1%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock

252 SpA Dragon Sludge Wave vs. 0 HP / 4 SpD Lopunny-Mega: 306-360 (112.9 - 132.8%) -- guaranteed OHKO
Besides that, Dragon is a very versatile mon with Toxic, Toxic Spikes, Haze, Defog, Roost, Taunt and U-Turn for more defensive roles, and Sludge Wave, Solar Eclipse, Fire Blast, Earth Power, Flash Cannon, Surf and Focus Blast for offensive roles. It brings interesting role compression.

Type:

Abilities: Refrigerate / Regenerator / Sturdy
Additional Moves: Icicle Crash, Heavy Slam, Ice Shard, Haze, Stealth Rock, Explosion, Metal Burst
Competitiveness: What is the one problem all the Spinners face? Spinblockers. Avalugg does not have to face this problem, though, because Refrigerate makes its Rapid Spins totally unblockable! It's defensive typing is alos much better now with the added Steel-type and new utility moves in Haze; which makes it a great check/counter to sweepers such as Alolan Doublade, Steve, and Kirby-Rock, Stealth Rock to chip foes' health down, and Metal Burst to KO a foe who uses a powerful attack on it and survives. Overall, this would be a great addition to the meta, only suffering from two 4x weaknesses to Fighting and Fire, but the former can be patched up with Deoxys and the latter can be patched up with Trapinch.

Pokémon: Omastar-Delta
Mod of Origin: All the Aces
Stats: 70 HP / 60 Atk / 125 Def / 115 SpA / 70 SpD / 55 Spe (unchanged)
Type:
/

Abilities: Swift Swim / Cursed Body / Weak Armor
Additional Move: Shadow Ball
Competitiveness: The meta is lacking a Shell Smasher atm, so let's fix that. Omastar basically replicates its role from the main Smogon formats, except without that awful Rock-typing. Water / Ghost is such a potent offensive typing right now, hitting pokes like Trapinch, Kirby-Rock, Deoxys, Nihilego, and the Banette forms hard, which helps since some of those pokes give others trouble. However, there are some flaws that hold it back. For one, its speed is heavily reliant on SS to sweep, meaning it can be revenge killed by priority or other fast attackers. Its typing also leaves it vulnerable to the many Dark-types in the meta, as well as Latias-Delta, Porygon2, and Mega Obama X, which leaves it struggling to set up. Nevertheless, if this thing sets up, you better watch out before it 6-0's your team.

Pokémon: Mega Absol
Mod Of Origin: Cool Funky Mode
Stats: 65 HP / 130 Atk / 60 Def / 75 SpA / 60 SpD / 90 Spe -----> 65 HP / 165 Atk / 60 Def / 115 SpA / 60 SpD / 115 Spe
Type:
----->
/

Abilities: Pressure / Super Luck / Justified* -----> Magic Bounce
Additional Moves: Dazzling Gleam, Sacred Sword
Modified Moves/Abilities: Justified: if hit by a Dark-type attack, reduces damage taken by 50% AND boosts the higher of Attack and Sp. Atk by one stage
Detect: Avoids all attacks for one turn, except those that cannot miss
Iron Tail: 85 BP, 100% accurate, 20% chance to lower foe's Defense
Night Slash: 100 BP, 95% accurate, high critical-hit ratio
Play Rough: 90 BP, 100% accurate, 10% to lower target's Attack
Psycho Cut: 100 BP, 95% accurate, high critical-hit ratio
Slash: 90 BP, 100% accurate, type changes to match user's primary type
Fire Blast: 120 BP, 85% accurate, 10% chance to burn
Dark Pulse: 90 BP, 100% accurate, 20% to flinch target
Competitiveness: Hey, a Dark-type that actually beats other Dark-types! This pokemon has a great offensive typing that is literally unresisted in the entire meta, meaning this thing can sweep teams at the drop of a hat, which is further helped by its higher attack than in vanilla and the buffs to its STABs, as well as other moves, and some new toys as well. If Swords Dance is not your fancy, worry not, cause a special set is now viable thanks to the buffed Justified! While this thing shits over defense, its matchup against offense is horrible, with pokes such as Alolan Doublade's Aqua Jet, Steve's Extreme Speed, and the Mega Obamas' Ice Shard being able to kill it easily, and really any strong attack can KO it, not to mention Unaware Nihi shits all over it, but this poke will surely be feared in this meta.

Pokémon: Escavalier
Mod of Origin: G-Luke's Ideal World
Stats: 80 HP / 145 Atk / 100 Def / 60 SpA / 70 SpD / 40 Spe
Abilities: Swarm / Shell Armor / Overcoat / Guts (not sure which ability to replace with it, i'll let AquaticPanic decide)
Additional Moves: U-turn, Gyro Ball
Competitiveness: Speaking of things that can kill Dark-types, meet the all-new, all-powerful Escavalier! Thanks to a massive base 145 Attack stat combined with Guts, this poke can make massive dents in a lot of teams before it goes down. It can even sweep with SD, if you're willing to take it that far. However, there are some reasons why this is not OP. First off, its speed is absolutely horrible, even if it is a bit higher, meaning many offensive pokes can revenge kill this easily. Secondly, Bug / Steel may be a great defensive type, but it is a HORRIBLE offensive one, meaning pokes such as Mega Camerupt, Delta Latias, and Goodra can wall this, unless it carries Facade. Lastly, it will get worn down fast due to burn damage, entry hazard damage, and other chip damage due to not having access to reliable recovery, and pokes that it's supposed to kill easily, like my Mega Absol, can lure it in with Fire-type coverage. Nevertheless, definitely be on the lookout for this, as this can turn your team to dust.

Pokémon: Regirock
Mod of Origin: Fresh Takes
Stats: 120 HP / 90 Atk / 90 Def / 50 SpA / 180 SpD / 40 Spe
Abilities: Clear Body / Bulletproof
Additional Moves: Gyro Ball, Anchor Shot, Metal Sound, Autotomize
Competitiveness: Can't have all my subs be offensive, now can we? Surprisingly, our meta is lacking the Steel-type wall (no i am not counting Doublade-Alola), and this poke will do excellently. Unlike other Steels, this poke is able to deal with special attackers that rely on Focus Blast to hit them, meaning it is a great check to many Psychic and Ghost-types. It can then proceed to trap the poke using Anchor Shot and wear it down with Gyro Ball. Its fantastic special bulk also lets it wall special attackers in general as well. Unfortunately, it has no reliable recovery, and its Defense is not as great as its Sp. Def., and it faces stiff competition from Nihilego as a special wall due to its better abilities in Levitate and Unaware, however, if you need a consistent check to pokes that use Focus Blast, then this is your man.
