SM RU Spiteful Stall(Peaked #1 on RU Ladder, 92+ GXE, 1722 ELO)

Introduction:
Here's my Block+Spite Pyukumu Stall team that I used to climb to the number 1 spot on the RU ladder. It features Metagross as it's rocker, Florges as it's cleric, Mandibuzz as it's primary defogger, cresselia as an all around wall, Quagsire as it's primary physical set up Pokemon answer, and of course Pyukumu as it's way to handle special set up as well as assist with the match up against opposing stall team. Enjoy the the team :]

The Team:

Metagross @ Leftovers
Ability: Clear Body
EVs: 248 HP / 244 SpD / 16 Spe
Careful Nature
- Earthquake
- Rest
- Iron Head
- Stealth Rock

Metagross serves as this team's way of setting up stealth rocks. Although there were other options such as Registeel and Bronzong for this slot, through trial and error I determined that metagross filled this role the best as it game me a way to threaten calm mind + taunt comfey, which otherwise beats the entirety of the team. Bronzong with gyroball was another consideration, however because of its weakness to being pursuited by metagross/drapion, it would often just be eliminated nearly from the beginning of the game and rocks would not be able to be set afterwards. Metagross however can threaten those two previously mentioned pokemon with earthquake, and due it its steller natural defense stat, pursuit does not do nearly as much to metagross as it does to bronzong. With the inclusion of iron head, I am also able to beat taunt +calm mind comfey as well has have more PP than meteor mash, which helps in the stall vs. stall matchup. Rest is there as a form of recovery and is aided by the fact that there is aroma therapy florges on the team, which means it often does not have to waste the full 2 turns of being asleep.

Florges @ Leftovers
Ability: Flower Veil
EVs: 248 HP / 244 Def / 16 Spe
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Moonblast
- Aromatherapy
- Defog
- Synthesis

Florges is mainly here as a cleric that can beat Mega Blastoise. Although specially defensive Mandibuzz can also 1v1 Mega Blastoise in theory, its susceptible to being burned and being forced to use many of its roosts by having to take multiple ice beams. Furthermore, it serves as a secondary defogger in order to assure that I have more pp than the opposing team has pp on their stealth rock pokemon. Aside from that it allows the team to break through taunt Mandibuzz, which this team would otherwise have some trouble getting past.

Mandibuzz @ Leftovers
Ability: Overcoat
EVs: 248 HP / 212 SpD / 48 Spe
Careful Nature
- Roost
- Brave Bird
- Knock Off
- Defog

Mandibuzz is the obvious choice of defogger for the team, as its ability to knock off opposing pokemon as well as reliably remove hazards against threats like nidoqueen. Additionally, Mandibuzz is able to knock off leftovers on Bronzong and Registeel, allowing for you to chip them down over time, which is essential since they cannot be toxic'd and you do not want to waste your spite pp on these pokemon unless absolutely necessary. It has brave bird as it allows you to lure in and kill Virizion which would otherwise be able to come in and set up lswords dances and heavily damage if not beat your entire team. The speed allows you to out speed max speed Marowak, which although uncommon, would be disastrous to the team otherwise.

Cresselia @ Fairium Z
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 248 HP / 116 Def / 144 Spe
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Toxic
- Psychic
- Moonblast
- Moonlight

Cresselia allows the team to reliably switch in to huge threats such as Choice Band Machamp, Life Orb Toxicroark, Bewear as well as other gnerally hard hitting pokemon that the team otherwise does not particulary enjoy switching into. This pokemon also helps toxic opposing pokemon as well as mitigate the teams knock off weakness a little bit by way of having a Z move on it. Furthermore, due to this EV spread and the Z move, Cresselia serves as this teams main switch-in to Pangoro, as knock does not do a whole lot because of the item being a Z Crystal. In addition, with this amount of speed, you are gauranteed to outspeed Pangoro and Bewear, which allows you to come in, eat a hit, and then retaliate with a powerful Z moonblast. All in all, Cresselia basically serves as the safety blanket that helps beat big threats to this team.

Quagsire @ Leftovers
Ability: Unaware
EVs: 248 HP / 188 Def / 72 SpD
Relaxed Nature
- Toxic
- Scald
- Recover
- Earthquake

Quagsire is an obvious addition to stall, as it gives the team a way to deal with dragon dance Feraligatr,Swords Dance Toxicroak and other physical set up pokemon . It's Ev spread allows it to mainly eat a lot of physical hits as that is what it's main purpose is, and the 72 Special Defense EVs allow it to gaurantee live a modest max special attack Hidden power Grass from Salazzle in the event that Pyukumuku has died already. The moves are pretty standard as scald is very spammable, Earthquake is a powerful STAB move and Toxic helps you break down and stall out opposing pokemon.

Pyukumuku @ Leftovers
Ability: Unaware
EVs: 248 HP / 108 Def / 152 SpD
Calm Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Rest
- Block
- Toxic
- Spite

And finally, the biggest threat on this team: Pyukumuku! This monster allows you to reliably answer Salazzle, Calm mind Delphox,Ninetails and other special set up pokemon. This EV spread allows it to always take 3 Sludge Waves from max special attack Modest Salazzle, which means you can trap it and PP stall it pretty easily by way of spamming rest and spite. Furthermore, the ability to trap and PP stall/Toxic other pokemon become very useful when playing against opposing stall teams, as toxic will eventually kill them if they are trapped, and spite will PP stall the pokemon that cannot be toxic'd. In conclusion, Pyukumuku rounds out the team as it allows the team to beat the threats that the other members do extremely poorly against.

Conclusion:
This team has done pretty well for me, and trapping things to death with pyukumuku is one of the greatest things that happens when the opponent does not expect it. Furthermore there not too many large weaknesses that this team has. The biggest weakness would probably be xatu, as it is able to completely shut down Pyukumuku and make it a very sad day if you end up blocking yourself. Aside from that, the other large threats are things like Choice Band Emboar and Arcanine, and Venusaur on a Sun team. However, all of these pokemon can be dealt with if played around correctly. Good luck and have fun with this team everyone :]
