There are few Pokemon that resist or are immune to Ground in RU, and Silvally-Ground's ability to defeat them lets it function as a strong and effective setup sweeper. However, it is often considered a niche option and difficult to build around, as its typing overlaps with most of the common Stealth Rock users in RU, such as Rhydon, Steelix, and Mudsdale, which results in weaknesses being stacked on the team. Rock Slide allows Silvally-Ground to hit checks such as Charizard and Cramorant for super effective damage. Flame Charge makes Silvally-Ground much more difficult to revenge kill while also hitting its Grass-type checks like Rotom-C and Virizion. U-turn is an option that can be considered over Flame Charge, as it allows Silvally-Ground to weaken switch-ins like Vaporeon and Gastrodon and put them in range of its +2 Multi Attack. However, it is not generally recommended, as the primary reason to use Silvally-Ground is to set up for a sweep versus opposing teams, which requires Flame Charge's Speed boost.
Wallbreakers such as Frosmoth, Indeedee-M, and Drampa make for great partners. Silvally-Ground has no trouble breaking through Pokemon such as Copperajah, Snorlax, and Charizard, which hinder Frosmoth. In return, Frosmoth can handle checks to Silvally-Ground such as Gastrodon and Jellicent, being able to set up on those Pokemon with ease. Similarly, Silvally-Ground's ability to break through bulky Steel-types such as Copperajah and Steelix enables Indeedee-M and Drampa to freely click their STAB moves and heavily dent the opposing team. Additionally, due to its typing, Drampa is able to pivot in on Water- and Grass-type attacks for Silvally-Ground. As for defensive partners, Copperajah and Poison-types such as Vileplume, Qwilfish, and Garbodor complement Silvally-Ground really well. Copperajah can pivot in on Ice- and Grass-type attacks for Silvally-Ground, as well as supporting it in wallbreaking by providing Stealth Rock support. Vileplume is able to switch into Water- and Grass-types, which are common answers for Silvally-Ground, and set up with Growth to weaken the opposing team, facilitating Silvally-Ground's sweep late-game. Qwilfish and Garbodor can pivot in on Water- and Grass-type moves, respectively, as well as offer Spikes and Toxic Spikes support to put checks to Silvally-Ground such as Vaporeon, Jellicent, and Gastrodon in range of its +2 Multi-Attack. Additionally, Vaporeon is a great option, as it is able to reliably switch into Water-types and provide cleric support with Wish and Heal Bell to increase Silvally-Ground's sustainability.
