[OVERVIEW]

Seismitoad's fantastic defensive typing that gives it a plethora of resistances, an Electric immunity, and only a single weakness, lets it check Pokemon like Barbaracle, Doublade, Zygarde-10%, and Arcanine and gives it a niche in RarelyUsed. Furthermore, Seismitoad's decent matchup against the best entry hazard removal Pokemon, notably Gligar and Mega Blastoise, gives it an edge over other defensive Stealth Rock users like Bronzong. Seismitoad's great movepool gives it the option to run great utility moves like Knock Off, Refresh, and Protect. However, a lack of reliable recovery leaves Seismitoad susceptible to chip damage, meaning that it'll struggle heavily to check offensive Pokemon as the game progresses. Seismitoad's somewhat mediocre bulk and lack of recovery mean that it'll likely be dropped in favor of better Water-types like Milotic and Mantine that have all that and other utility moves like Dragon Tail and Defog. Because of this, Seismitoad is most commonly seen on teams that need to compress their Stealth Rock user and Water-type into one Pokemon.

[SET COMMENTS]
Moves
========

Stealth Rock gets important chip damage against metagame threats like Ninetales and Noivern. Scald is Seismitoad's primary STAB move that has a 30% chance to burn. Earthquake is great for covering common Pokemon like Registeel, Roserade, Toxicroak, Ampharos, Dragalge, Gardevoir, and Assault Vest Machamp. Toxic is great for crippling walls, and puts sweepers like Calm Mind Meloetta on a timer. Refresh is usable to remedy status, notably Toxic, from defensive staples like Registeel.

Set Details
========

252 HP and 252 Defense EVs with a Relaxed nature let Seismitoad be as physically bulky as possible, giving it more insurance against physical threats like Zygarde-10% and Feraligatr. Leftovers gives it passive recovery. Water Absorb lets it heal off any Water-type attacks from Pokemon like Mantine.

Usage Tips
========

Prioritize setting up Stealth Rock, as it is frequently important to win games. Use Toxic to cripple some of the entry hazard removers that Seismitoad struggles with, notably Mandibuzz and Mega Blastoise, as they switch in. Use Scald freely to spread burns, unless you're worried that Seismitoad will burn a wall that you would rather inflict Toxic poison on. Capitalize on Seismitoad's defensive utility to pivot in and force out Pokemon like Mega Steelix, Barbaracle, and Doublade.

Team Options
========

Noivern and Brave Bird Mandibuzz are great at combating the best Grass-types in the tier, Roserade, Virizion, and Shaymin. In return, Seismitoad spreads Toxic poison to wear down walls and provides an immunity to Electric-type attacks and a resistance to Rock-type attacks as well. However, when using Noivern, look out for Stone Edge from Virizion and Hidden Power Ice from Roserade and Shaymin. Specially defensive walls like Registeel and Snorlax are great for taking super effective special attacks from Pokemon like Shaymin that run through Seismitoad and help provide another check for Mega Blastoise. Other Pokemon like Florges and Umbreon offer this as well as Wish support to keep Seismitoad healthy.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

Protect helps with Seismitoad's lack of reliable recovery and lets it scout against Choice-locked attackers like Escavalier. Knock Off cripples Pokemon like Registeel, Porygon2, and Bronzong that rely on their item. Ice Punch lets Seismitoad hit switch-ins like Roserade and Noivern extremely hard. Substitute + Toxic Seismitoad can handle cores like Mega Blastoise + Gligar + Bronzong.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Grass-types**: Virizion and Roserade can exploit Seismitoad's presence to set up on it or set Spikes, respectively. However, Virizion should watch out for Toxic poison and a burn from Scald. Rotom-C is a fantastic switch-in, forcing Seismitoad out and clearing its Stealth Rock. Shaymin also beats Seismitoad with its STAB Seed Flare.

**Taunt**: Taunt Pokemon like Noivern and Mandibuzz effectively stop Seismitoad, preventing Stealth Rock and Toxic.

**Strong Special Attackers**: Strong special attackers like Vanilluxe, Noivern, Swellow, Espeon, Yanmega, and Gardevoir destroy Seismitoad.

[OVERVIEW]

* Seismitoad's ability to keep Stealth Rock up against or severely cripple the tier's most common hazard removers while simultaneously providing unique defensive qualities that let it check Pokemon like Doublade, Zygarde-10%, and Arcanine give it a niche in RarelyUsed. (You're trying to say way too much in this opener. Narrow it down a bit more and say something about it having good bulk and a great typing which lets it check x, y, z and act as a reliable Stealth Rock setter. You can talk about how it threatens some of the removers in an additional point under this one.)
* A fantastic defensive typing gives it a plethora of resistances, a less noteworthy immunity, and only a single weakness. (Remove this line since you're gonna be touching on that in the opening sentence.)
* Seismitoad's great movepool and reasonably decent offensive prowess gives it the option to surprise some of its checks as they switch in. (None of these surprise options are in it's main set, so there's no reason to be referencing them in the Overview. You can talk about it having space for a bunch of different utility tools like Knock Off, Refresh, and Protect if you want, otherwise just scrap this line.)
* Lack of reliable recovery and no way to combat status leaves Seismitoad prone to chip damage, meaning that it'll struggle heavily to check physical attackers as the game progresses. (Refresh is a viable option that should be mentioned in moves, so remove the part about status. Also just say it'll struggle against heavy offensive pressure lategame, no need to just specify physical attackers.)
* Although Toxic is great for crippling set up sweepers, Seismitoad's inability to pack good coverage without losing defensive utility leaves it prone to Taunt users like Mismagius, those immune to its attacks like Toxicroak, or those carrying Substitute. (I think using a Seismitoad that cant check Toxicroak or Ampharos-Mega is a waste. Toxic also doesn't directly compete for a moveslot with Earthquake, so this point doesn't really make sense.)
* Seismitoad's bulk can be underwhelming at times which is why it's commonly dropped in favor of sturdier Water-types like Milotic and Mantine. (A more relevant point is that these Pokemon are more commonly seen due to a combination of their superior bulk, reliable recovery, and in Mantine's case Defog. They can function as defensive pivots on their own merits thanks to that reliable recovery, while Seismitoad should only be used when you need to compress your Water-type slot and Stealth Rock setter into one. You can reword this however you like, just be more specific in why Seismitoad is less common.)

I much prefer this moveset, lets you threaten and check a lot more with EQ (specifically toxicroak, which is huge for a water slot to do). Refresh + EQ also lets you deal with Registeel quite well, lets you act as a much better pivot, etc. Protect and Knock Off are fine options, but definitely not mandatory or more useful than the above, so they can just be mentioned in Moves.

Moves
========

* Stealth Rock gets important chip damage against metagame threats like Ninetales and Noivern.
* Scald is Seismitoad's primary STAB that has a 30% chance to burn.
* Toxic is great for crippling walls, and puts sweepers like Calm Mind Meloetta on a timer.
* Protect helps with Seismitoad's lack of reliable recovery and lets it scout against Choiced attackers like Escavalier.
* Knock Off cripples Pokemon like Registeel, Porygon2, and Bronzong that rely on their item.
* Earthquake gives Registeel a tough time and hits Pokemon like Roserade that would otherwise switch in freely. (Toxicroak, Ampharos, Dragalge, Gardevoir, AV Machamp all get boned by Earthquake in some shape or form. Also adjust this section to reflect the new set)

Set Details
========

* 252 HP and 252 Def EVs when used with a Bold (Relaxed) nature lets Seismitoad be as physically bulky as possible, giving it more insurance against physically attacking threats like Zygarde-10% and Feraligatr. An Impish nature can be used if Seismitoad is using Knock Off or Earthquake, as the increase of damage against Pokemon like Registeel is more important than giving Scald a bit more power.
* Leftovers gives it passive recovery.
* Water Absorb lets it heal off any Water-type attacks from Pokemon like Mantine.

Usage Tips
========

* Prioritize setting up Stealth Rock, as they are frequently important to win games.
* Use Protect to use Leftovers effectively, scout against potential Choice-locked attackers, hamper the power of Z-Moves, and maximize Toxic poison damage.
* Use Toxic to cripple some of the hazard removers that Seismitoad struggles with, Mandibuzz and Mega Blastoise, on switch in.
* Use Scald freely to spread burns, unless you're worried that you'll burn a wall that you would rather inflict Toxic poison on. (Edit this section to reflect set changes, you could also write a line about what sort of things Seismitoad should be pivoting in on)

Team Options
========

* Stealth Rock support is fantastic for set up sweepers like Z-Celebrate Meloetta, Dragon Dance Zygarde-10%, and Nasty Plot Ninetales. (Stealth Rock helps everything and it's on legit every team, get rid of this line, obvious stuff.)
* Noivern and Brave Bird Mandibuzz are great at combating the best Grass-types in the tier, Roserade, Virizion, and Shaymin. Seismitoad can spread Toxic poison to wear down walls and provides an immunity to Electric-type attacks and a resistance to Rock-type attacks as well. However, when using Noivern, look out for Stone Edge from Virizion and Hidden Power Ice from Roserade and Shaymin.
* Specially defensive walls like Registeel are great for taking special attacks that run through Seismitoad and help provide another check for Mega Blastoise. (What kind of Special Attacks? Be specific)

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

* Ice Punch lets Seismitoad hit switch-ins like Roserade and Noivern extremely hard on the switch.
* Refresh is usable to remedy status, notably Toxic, but you'll still be helpless against Toxic users like Registeel and Bronzong unless devoting multiple move slots to beating them, which really cuts into your defensive utility. (Remove this from OO since it's moving into Moves)

Checks and Counters
===================

**Grass-types**: Virizion and Roserade can abuse Seismitoad's presence to set up on it or set Spikes, respectively. Shaymin also beats Seismitoad with its STAB Seed Flare. (You should mention that Virizion needs to be cautious of coming in on Scald and risking a burn. Rotom-Mow would be a good example here as well, since it fears nothing from Seismitoad and can Defog away Stealth Rock.)

**Status**: Toxic poison and to a lesser extent burn relentlessly chip away at Seismitoad's HP, meaning that it'll struggle to check attackers like Doublade and Zygarde-10%. (Remove this)

**Setup Sweepers**: Seismitoad's passive nature leaves it helpless against set up sweepers like Taunt Mismagius and those lacking Earthquake are helpless against opposing Toxicroak. (Remove Toxicroak, give better examples here or just remove this section too.)

**Taunt**: Taunt Pokemon like Noivern effectively stop Seismitoad, leaving it hoping for Scald burns at best and preventing Stealth Rock. (You can talk about Noivern doing this in the strong Special Attackers section, no need for a seperate point for one Taunt user.)

**Strong Special Attackers**: Pokemon like Choice Specs Yanmega and Gardevoir, as well as other special attackers like Mismagius destroy Seismitoad. (Give more examples, this section is far too bare. You've also already mentioned Mismagius. Add things like Vanilluxe, Noivern, Swellow, Espeon, etc)

Pretty efficient, right now it is looking good. Will inspect it when written so focus on that in the meantime. Looking good

- More emphasis on Barbaracle on the overview and other sections since its typing let it handle this thing real nicely. It being one of the best mons and Seismitoad handling it pretty safely should be emphasized.

- Team Options could expand a bit. Special Walls is rather generic so mention more stuff that isnt just another rocker. SpDef Gligar, Snorlax, or Pokemon with good general special bulk. Wish Support mons to keep it healthier like Umbreon or Florges. It is also a good partner for many psychics since its insane physical bulk let it handle dark types like Drapion, and Doublade so can mention Sigilyph, Espeon, or Meloetta.

- Can mention the possibility of a Sub Toxic set in OO. Pretty functional to take advantage of passive balances that uses Regi Milo Gligar and pairs well with other rockers like Bronzong, Registeel, or Gligar.
