Sneasler @ Normal Gem
Ability: Unburden
Tera Type: Flying
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Fake Out
- Dire Claw
- Close Combat
- Acrobatics
Sneasler is a late game cleaner. It has powerful stab that can decimate all who stand in its way. It has speed investments so it can outspeed things if it were forced to switch out, but not a speed plus nature, because that event is ultimately unlikely. Normal gem fake out ensures it always gets the speed boost. With tera flying, it has triple stab and a decent defensive type.
Zoroark-Hisui @ Throat Spray
Ability: Illusion
Tera Type: Normal
EVs: 248 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpA / 4 SpD
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Hyper Voice
- Shadow Ball
- Focus Blast
- Agility
The backbone of the team, zoroark´s three immunities and its ability makes it very easy to set up. With throat spray, it can attack and boost its attack at the same time, decreasing the amount of turns it needs to set up. I don't like using focus blast, but it's the only option this pokemon has to check many things that would otherwise wall it. The biggest thing zoroark contributes to the team is the uncertainty of whether the pokemon that is out is zoroark or not. The pokemon on this team were chosen because they can make the most of this uncertainty.
Ursaluna @ Flame Orb
Ability: Guts
Tera Type: Fighting
EVs: 56 HP / 252 Atk / 200 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Earthquake
- Drain Punch
- Ice Punch
- Facade
Ursaluna is here because the single turn where your opponent doesn't know whether or not you are zoroark is all it needs to get a kill. Facade and earthquake are obviously the big damage buttons, ice punch is obviously for coverage, and drain punch is to keep it alive longer. Tera fighting is to heal better, to do more damage, and because it shares no weaknesses with ursaluna.
Quaquaval @ Focus Sash
Ability: Moxie
Tera Type: Water
EVs: 28 HP / 252 Atk / 40 SpD / 188 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Aqua Jet
- Swords Dance
- Aqua Step
- Close Combat
Quaquaval is a set up sweeper that can easily win games if left unchecked, and the threat of zoroark helps pull this off. Its speed EVs are exactly 188 because that is exactly enough to outspeed meowscarada after one speed boost. Meowscarada is the fastest mon in the tier that it can outspeed with a single boost without having a +speed nature. In a pinch, quaquaval can also double as a cleaner.
Samurott-Hisui @ Wide Lens
Ability: Sharpness
Tera Type: Fighting
EVs: 96 HP / 252 Atk / 160 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Ceaseless Edge
- Sacred Sword
- Razor Shell
- Drill Run
Samurott is a powerful wallbreaker that can also set up hazards while it attacks. This is already an insane amount of pressure, but with the threat of zoroark, it increases exponentially. The hazards help sneasler clean, as well as breaking pesky sashes that would stop ursaluna from ohkoing everything. Drill run is for coverage, and tera fighting adds to the insanity of sharpness and sacred sword. Wide lens is so ceaseless edge dosent miss, and it also helps with razor shell and drill run.
Great Tusk @ Assault Vest
Ability: Protosynthesis
Tera Type: Ice
EVs: 84 HP / 252 Atk / 172 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Headlong Rush
- Rapid Spin
- Ice Spinner
- Close Combat
Great tusk´s bulk combined with the potential zoroark lets it safely spin without worries. But while removing hazards is important and helps quaquaval a lot, rapid spin has a much more offensive presence. Great tusk has the same speed as quaquaval, and for the same reason. Once it has a speed boost, it can effortlessly sweep most of the format, with what little that can touch it not doing much. With the classic trinity of ice, fighting, and ground, there is not a whole lot that can stand in its way.
The whole premise of the team is that if you put enough mon that can do a lot in one turn with a mon that can look like any other mon, your opponent has to overthink every single move they make.
