Ability: Solid Rock
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD

- Smack Down / Stone Edge
- Fire Punch
- Ice Punch / Megahorn

[SET COMMENTS]
With its colorful coverage and high Attack, Rhyperior is a strong physical attacker on Rock teams. Furthermore, its high HP and Defense stats coupled with a great defensive ability in Solid Rock give it massive survivability, letting it take incredibly strong hits from attackers like Chien-Pao and Iron Hands. Smack Down synergizes well with Earthquake, removing the Ground immunity from Flying-types like Corviknight, Skarmory, and Zapdos so that they can be hit by Earthquake. Alternatively, Stone Edge packs higher power which allows Rhyperior to OHKO Ogerpon-H. However, Smack Down is preferred due to its utility and better consistency compared to Stone Edge. Fire Punch targets Steel-types that are not threatened by Earthquake, such as Scizor. Ice Punch threatens Dragon- and Ground-types such as Dragonite, Garchomp, and Landorus-T. Megahorn can also be used to possibly OHKO Ogerpon-W. However, Ice Punch is preferred since it threatens common checks to many Rock-types.

Glimmora makes for a great partner for Rhyperior, as it sets up an array of entry hazards including Stealth Rock, Spikes, and Toxic Spikes, as well as removing them with Mortal Spin. It also threatens Grass-types such as Meowscarada and Hydrapple for Rhyperior. Kleavor also sets up Stealth Rock with Stone Axe, and it doubles as a great physical attacker that threatens Latios, Hoopa-U, Air Balloon Heatran, and Greninja and a pivot with U-turn. In return, Kleavor appreciates Rhyperior taking on checks to it, like Kingambit and Choice Scarf Hisuian Arcanine. Tyranitar is another option for a Stealth Rock user, and it also sets up sandstorm to raise Rhyperior's poor Special Defense stat, letting it take attacks like Gholdengo's Make It Rain, Landorus's Earth Power, and Choice Specs Flutter Mane's Moonblast from full HP. Specially defensive Garganacl takes pressure off of Rhyperior by helping it against Water- and Steel-types like Primarina, Empoleon, and Heatran by wearing them down with Salt Cure and removing said Steel-types with Iron Defense + Body Press. Ogerpon-C handles Water- and Ground-types like Primarina, Keldeo, Swampert, and Landorus, and it appreciates Rhyperior dealing with Fighting- and Poison-types like Iron Hands, Sneasler, and Okidogi in return. Choice Scarf Iron Boulder outspeeds and threatens Pokemon Rhyperior hates, such as Greninja, Iron Valiant, and Choice Specs Kyurem. In return, Rhyperior takes on Dark- and Steel-types types such as Chien-Pao, Kingambit, and Excadrill. Hisuian Arcanine is another great teammate, as its Fire typing allows it to threaten Grass- and Steel-types such as Amoonguss, Meowscarada, and Corviknight, and it also picks off weakened sweepers like Iron Valiant and Azumarill with Extreme Speed. It appreciates Rhyperior taking out Ground-types like Excadrill and Gliscor in return. Choice Band Terrakion is a great early-game wallbreaker, as it threatens the likes of Garganacl, Archaludon, Corviknight, and Skarmory with Close Combat; in addition, its access to Upper Hand allows it to punish priority moves from threats like Breloom and Hisuian Samurott. Lastly, Shell Smash Minior appreciates Rhyperior taking out threats like Kingambit, Chien-Pao, and Scizor so it can sweep late-game.

With its colorful coverage and high Attack, Rhyperior is a strong physical attacker on Rock teams. Furthermore, its high HP and Defense stats coupled with a great defensive ability in Solid Rock give it massive survivability, being able to survive two Sacred Swords from Choice Band Chien-Pao and multiple Drain Punches from Assault Vest Iron Hands. Smack Down synergizes well with Earthquake, removing the Ground immunity from Flying-types like Corviknight, Skarmory, and Zapdos so that they can be hit by Earthquake.[Mention it also threatens Steel-, Poison-, and Electric-types like Hisuian Goodra, Clodsire, and Iron Hands.] Alternatively, Stone Edge packs higher power which allows it to take on Bug- and Flying-types like Volcarona, Frosmoth, and Talonflame.[Stone Edge only purpose is to just ohko Firepon, Volc, Fros, and T Flame all get ko by smack down, even then frosmoth has a chance to blast us away with either giga drain or ice beam.] However, Smack Down is preferred due to its utility and better consistency compared to Stone Edge. Fire Punch targets Steel-types such as Scizor that can handle Earthquake. Ice Punch threatens Dragon- and Ground-types such as Dragonite, Garchomp, and Landorus-T. Megahorn can also be used to target Dark-types such as Hoopa-U and Hydreigon. However, Ice Punch is preferred since it threatens common checks to many Rock-types.[As these examples are nice, m horn is mainly for having a chance to ohko waterpon.]

Glimmora makes for a great partner, as it sets up an array of entry hazards including Stealth Rock, Spikes, and Toxic Spikes, as well as remove them with Mortal Spin. [I also would mention how it takes out Grass-types like hydrapple and meowscarada for rhyperior.] Kleavor also sets up Stealth Rock with Stone Axe, and it also doubles as a great physical attacker that threatens Latios, Hoopa-U, Air Balloon Heatran, and Greninja and a pivot with U-turn. In return, Kleavor appreciates Rhyperior taking on checks to it like Kingambit and Choice Scarf Hisuian Arcanine. Tyranitar is another option for a Stealth Rock user, and it also sets up sand to raise Rhyperior's poor Special Defense stat.[Mention what rhyperior can survive now due to the special defense boost it gets from sand. Rhyperior can now survive a hit from Gholdengo's Make it Rain, Landorus's Earth Power, and Choice Specs Flutter Mane's Moonblast from full.] Specially defensive Garganacl puts pressure off from Rhyperior by helping it against Water- and Steel-types like Primarina, Empoleon, and Heatran by wearing them down with Salt Cure and removing said Steel-types with Iron Defense + Body Press. Ogerpon-C handles Water- and Ground-types like Primarina, Keldeo, Swampert, and Landorus, and it appreciates Rhyperior taking out Fighting-types like Sneasler, Iron Hands, and Okidogi in return. Choice Scarf Iron Boulder outspeeds and threatens Pokemon Rhyperior hates, such as Greninja Iron Moth, Iron Valiant, Tornadus-T, and Choice Specs Kyurem. In return, Rhyperior takes on Dark-types such as Kingambit, Chien-Pao, and Alolan Muk and sand-boosted Excadrill.[Erm Excadrill not a Dark type. you mean Alolan Muk or Chien-Pao???] Hisuian Arcanine is another great teammate, as its Fire-typing allows it to threaten Grass- and Steel-types such as Amoonguss, Meowscarada, Sinistcha and Corviknight Hydrapple, and it also picks off weakened sweepers like Iron Valiant and, Azumarill, and Gouging Fire[Rhyperior just 1v1s it.] with Extreme Speed. It appreciates Rhyperior taking out Ground-types like Excadrill and Gliscor in return. Choice Band Terrakion is a great early-game wallbreaker, as with its access to Sacred Sword, it ignores Bulk Up and Iron Defense set up from the likes of Garganacl, Corviknight, and Skarmory. [I would redo this, Terrakion is not actively running and Close combat is blasting away threats b4 it sets up. You bascailly lose if Skarmory or corvi clicks iron defense as sacred sword against a skarmory and a corviknight is a 3hko. Specially Defensive Corvi i see, but even then you just cc it as well. Talk about how it blast away threats with CC and it has access to Upper Hand to punish priority mons like Breloom and Hisuian Samurott.] Lastly, Minior appreciates Rhyperior taking out threats like Kingambit, Chien-Pao, and Scizor so it can start a late-game sweep.
