With Chansey gone from the metagame, Omastar's biggest nemesis is out of the picture, and he's ready to rock the big guns with smashes! After a smash Omastar is so fast to the point that if you don't have a scarf you need to be called Accelgor or Ninjask to outrun Omastar at +2, and if you decide to smash up while in rain, you can expect OHKOs after OHKOs. between hazards abuse, +2 rain-boosted Hydro Pump and a lack of pink blobs, Omastar has a pretty nice metagame to wreck in. Your best counters to this evil... shellfish like thing is Milotic, who can come in on Ice Beam and at least attempt some major damage with Scald, status with Toxic, or just puss out with D-Tail. Aside from that, there's also Empoleon, which is raped by Earth Power. Registeel can somewhat counter but it needs to come in on Ice Beam. Not even priority users beat this: Technitop is hideously rare in the metagame and Intimidate Top fails to KO with Mach.

Omastar is most commonly seen as a smash sweeper but with 125 base Defense he is also a very sturdy Spiker. With an actual SpA to work with Omastar is still quite the threat, and Scald's burnhax makes Omastar near-impervious to physical attacks (unless its Heracross).

have been using this guy with rain dance volbeat for some time in UU and yeah, pretty walled by milotic and chansey. but i'm using focus sash to smash even in front of special attackers then sweep even with 1 HP.

It is rather disgusting that there is no spikes set listed here. Most walls that come in to wall SS Omaster get spikes set up on them.

Oh yes, the removal of Chansey is a godsend. Roserade has excellent synergy, both defensively and offensively. It can take out bulky waters, lay (Toxic) Spikes, while 4x resisting Grass. Omastar 4x resisists Fire too, plus they resist nearly all of eachothers weaknesses.

That's not mentioning Omastar's nice defense and Roserade's good special defense.

Spikes makes this guy a monster, Scarf Flygon and Raikou can possibly revenge it, as well as Scarf Darmanitan (who gets outpaced with Timid).
