Kingambit is the premier offensive Pokemon in OU, with potent wallbreaking and sweeping potential thanks to its high Attack bolstered by Supreme Overlord and Swords Dance. It has excellent natural bulk and the ability to Terastallize to either maximize damage output or gain defensive advantages against its checks. Its strong Sucker Punch makes it one of the best anti-offense tools in the metagame. Kingambit can use Kowtow Cleave for a more consistent Dark-type attack than Sucker Punch. Iron Head gives coverage against Dark-resistant Pokemon, notably Clefable, Great Tusk, and Zamazenta. Low Kick can be used over Kowtow Cleave or Iron Head to beat opposing Kingambit, although dropping Iron Head for Low Kick leaves Kingambit walled by Fairy types, while dropping Kowtow Cleave leaves Kingambit walled by Skeledirge and Toxapex and stuck with the less reliable Sucker Punch as its only Dark-type move. Kingambit's item slot is very flexible depending on the needs of the team; Black team. Black Glasses is the best item on Kingambit to stack with Supreme Overlord and potentially Tera Dark; Air Balloon can be used to gain setup opportunities on Ground-types like Great Tusk, Gliscor, and Landorus-T; Lum Berry is an option to absorb otherwise crippling status from Pokemon like Galarian Slowking, Dragapult, and Cinderace; and Heavy-Duty Boots is an option on teams with either no or unreliable entry hazard control to keep Kingambit from being worn down by Spikes early-game. Tera Dark powers up Sucker Punch and Kowtow Cleave while removing Kingambit's weaknesses to Fire- and Ground-type moves. In combination with Black Glasses and +2 Attack, it allows Kingambit's Kowtow Cleave to OHKO physical walls such as Alomomola, Gliscor, and Garganacl. Additionally, Kowtow Cleave 2HKOes Dondozo, while +2 Sucker Punch OHKOes Roaring Moon, opposing offensive Kingambit after Spikes, and Hisuian Samurott. Tera Flying allows Kingambit to set up on Ground- and Fighting-types such as Great Tusk, Gliscor, and Zamazenta. Tera Fighting can be used with Low Kick to always OHKO defensive Great Tusk at +2 with five Supreme Overlord boosts and a layer of Spikes, and it can 3HKO Dondozo with five Supereme Overlord boosts. Tera Fighting also provides more setup opportunities than Tera Dark, with the advantage of shedding Kingambit's weakness to Fighting-type attacks. Adamant is preferred to maximize the power of Sucker Punch to break through bulky Pokemon. Jolly can be run over Adamant to win the Low Kick Kingambit mirror matchup against Adamant variants and outspeed IronPress Skarmory and Corviknight before they can boost Defense. However, the power drop from losing out on Adamant limits Kingambit in all other matchups, especially when Sucker Punch nullifies Adamant's speed drop anyway; Jolly Kingambit cannot OHKO Dragapult with Sucker Punch unboosted, and even with five Supreme Overlord boosts, it cannot 3HKO Dondozo without Black Glasses or Tera Dark.

Kingambit fits on offensive and bulky offense teams that appreciate its defensive profile and capabilities as a revenge killer and late-game sweeper, being able to defensively check non-Focus Blast Gholdengo, Choice Specs Dragapult, Meowscarada, and Weavile without Low Kick. Offensively, Kingambit can revenge kill a wide range of Pokemon, including Deoxys-S, Dragapult, and Kyurem while also being able to revenge kill anything without Substitute, Encore, or strong neutral priority, given enough chip damage. Roaring Moon is an excellent partner for Kingambit, overloading Dark-resistant foes and physical walls for each other and paving the way for one of them to break through and end the game. On bulky offense teams, Spikes setters like Skarmory and Gliscor synergize well with Kingambit. Spikes Gliscor in particular provides a highly valuable and resilient Ground immunity and Fighting resistance, and its Toxic also synergizes with Sucker Punch, helping to ease prediction by putting opposing Pokemon on a turn limit. On offensive teams, hazard setters such as Glimmora, Deoxys-S, and Hisuian Samurott help Kingambit break through foes that resist its moves, especially Great Tusk variants without Heavy-Duty Boots, which can be forced to take hazard chip early on. Kingambit can also be used alongside dual screens Deoxys-S and Alolan Ninetales, making it easier to set up and providing a highly valuable Dragapult check to the dual screens team. Rillaboom can support Kingambit with Grassy Surge, giving it easier setup opportunities with extra HP and weakening Earthquake from Gliscor, Great Tusk, Landorus-T, and Ting-Lu. Rillaboom can also pivot into Ogerpon-W, Great Tusk, and Dondozo and remove Rocky Helmet from Skarmory and Corviknight with Knock Off. Galarian Slowking appreciates Kingambit resisting Ghost- and Dark-type attacks aimed at it. In return, it supports Kingambit with Future Sight to break through Great Tusk, Zamazenta, Dondozo, Alomomola, and Skarmory while also switching into Iron Valiant, Enamorus, and Zamazenta for Kingambit. Gholdengo is a great teammate for Kingambit, being able to handle threats like Iron Valiant, Zamazenta, Skarmory, Corviknight, Substitute Iron Boulder, and Dondozo while checking Rillaboom and Dragonite, which can punish its Sucker Punch with priority. It also softens opposing teams for Kingambit to finish off using Gholdengo's own wallbreaking capabilities and excellence in keeping entry hazards on the field. Volcarona is another excellent partner for Kingambit, countering Skarmory, Zamazenta without Stone Edge and Iron Valiant. It also sometimes punishes other Kingambit checks in Great Tusk, Low Kick Weavile and Meowscarada, and Dragonite with Flame Body, turning them into setup fodder for Kingambit.

Kingambit is the premier offensive pokemon in OU, with potent breaking and sweeping potential with it's high attack bolstered by Supreme Overlord and Swords Dance, combined with excellent natural bulk and the ability to either terastalize to maximize damage output to the extreme or gain defensive advantages against it's checks, while it's strong Sucker Punch makes it one of the best anti-offense tools in the metagame. Kingambit can use Kowtow Cleave for a more consistent Dark attack than Sucker Punch that can hit targets on the switch and doesn't fail against faster priority moves and status moves. Iron Head gives coverage against Dark resisting pokemon, notably Clefable, Iron Valiant, Enamorus, Great Tusk, Zamazenta, Primarina and Ting Lu. Low Kick can be used over Kowtow Cleave or Iron Head in combination with Tera Fighting to beat Dondozo, Great Tusk, Zamazenta and opposing Kingambit, dropping Iron Head for Low Kick leaves Kingambit walled by Fairy types while dropping Kowtow Cleave leaves Kingambit walled by Skeledirge and Toxapex and leaves Kingambit stuck with the less reliable Sucker Punch as a dark move this is all good information, but it's important to note that you don't have to run Tera Fighting to justify running Low Kick; simply getting the OHKO on opposing Kingambit is a good enough incentive to run Low Kick, and you could explain these other targets a bit more once you explain Tera Fighting since that adds a few more reasons to consider Low Kick beyond just winning the mirror. Tera Dark powers up Sucker Punch and Kowtow Cleave while removing Kingambits Fire and Ground weaknesses, and in combination with Black Glasses and +2 attack allows Kingambits Kowtow Cleave to OHKO physical walls Alolomola, Gliscor and Garganacl and 2HKO Dondozo and Great Tusk while Sucker Punch OHKOs Roaring Moon, Keldeo, opposing offensive Kingambit after spikes and Hisuian Samurott. Tera Flying removes Kingambits Ground and Fighting weaknesses to allow Kingambit to setup on ground, fire and fighting type moves from Great Tusk, Darkrai, Deoxys Speed, Dragonite, Excadrill, Gholdengo, Gliscor, Iron Boulder without Substitute, Iron Crown, Iron Valiant, Low Kick Kingambit, Kyurem locked into Earth Power, Landorus Therian, Meowscarada, Rillaboom, Roaring Moon, Serperior and Zamazenta cut down on this a little; ideally keep this at about three or four of the best examples among these while also giving Kingambit a valuable spikes immunity and preserving it's toxic spikes immunity. Tera Fighting can be used with Low Kick to always OHKO defensive Great Tusk at +2 with 5 allies fainted after a spike and 2HKO Dondozo after chip and 5 allies fainted while providing more setup opportunities than tera dark, with the advantage of shedding Kingambits fighting weakness. Here's where you'd explain Adamant vs. Jolly. What's the benefit of running Adamant (as in, what specific OHKOs/2HKOs are you missing out on if you run Jolly)? Is there anything you're aiming to outspeed with a Jolly nature? Here's a hint for that second point: you're writing about that mon right now (you could also mention Skarm since that specifically creeps Adamant, but that's a pretty sturdy answer as is).

Kingambit fits on offensive and balanced teams that appreciate offensive Kingambits its defensive profile and revenge killing capabilities while serving as a late-game winconadding a won condition, being able to defensively check non Focus Blast Gholdengo, specs Dragapult, Meowscarada and Weavile without Low Kick, and Serperior barring Tera Blast. Offensively, Kingambit can revenge kill a wide range of pokemon, including Deoxys Speed, Dragapult, Excadrill, Gholdengo, Gouging Fire without recovery Morning Sun, Hatterene, Heatran, Iron Boulder, Iron Crown, Kyurem, Landorus, Serperior and Walking Wake, and being able to revenge kill anything without Substitute, Encore or strong neutral priority given enough chip damage okay, these are all very good examples since Gambit's a pretty universal offensive check to a lot of threats, but you may want to cut a few of these out again; we usually like to limit these to about 3-4 very good examples, and the last part of that sentence covers the fact that Gambit can beat pretty much anything with enough chip damage. Roaring Moon is an excellent partner for Kingambit, overloading Dark resists and physical walls for each other and paving the way for one of them to break through and end the game. Rillaboom can support Kingambit with Grassy Surge, giving Kingambit easier setup opportunities with extra HP and weakened earthquake while synergizing with Sucker Punch, while Rillaboom can pivot into Ogerpon-Wellspring, Great Tusk and Dondozo and knocks off Rocky Helmet from Skarmory and Corviknight. Slowking-Galar appreciates Kingambit resisting Ghost and Dark attacks aimed at it, while supporting Kingambit with Future Sight to break through Dark resists and physical walls that don't resist Future Sight and switching into fighting and fairy attacks for Kingambit. Kingambit is vulnerable to fighting and fairy type pokemon, encore users, ironpress users, substitute and physical walls. Kingambit can also be weak to priority from Rillaboom and Dragonite after Terastalizing and will always struggle against Raging Bolt. Gholdengo is a great teammate for Kingambit, being able to counter Kingambit answers like Iron Valiant, Zamazenta, Skarmory, Corviknight, Substitute Iron Boulder, and Dondozo while checking Rillaboom and Dragonite and softening opposing teams for Kingambit to finish off using Gholdengos own wallbreaking capabilities and excellence of keeping entry hazards on the field. Volcarona is another excellent partner for Kingambit, countering Skarmory, Corviknight, Zamazenta without Stone Edge, Iron Valiant, Rillaboom and Enamorus, while sometimes punishing other checks in Great Tusk, low kick Weavile and Meowscarada and Dragonite with Flame Body, turning them into setup fodder for Kingambit. Spikes Gliscor provides a valuable highly resilient Ground immunity and fighting resistant while supporting Kingambit with it's excellence of setting spikes, Gliscors Toxic also synergizes with Sucker Punch to help ease prediction by putting opposing pokemon on a turn limit. Are there any more offensive hazard setters that Gambit synergizes well with? Move this section up to near the start of the paragraph, and start with a sentence just bringing up a few hazard setters that Gambit works well with (think any of Lead Deo-S, H-Samurott, Glimmora, or Gliscor), then use the highlighted Gliscor sentence as a followup. You could also word it like "[insert HO entry hazard setters here] synergize well with Kingambit on offensive teams, while [insert bulkier entry hazard setters here, including Gliscor] synergize well with Kingambit on balanced teams" and then following it up with that Gliscor sentence. You should also mention Dual Screens as its own sentence where possible: Gambit's very common on these sorts of teams and is on Pinkacross's Latias HO sample team. I know this is gonna wind up being pretty long by the end of this, but it really can't be understated just how good of a teammate Gambit is.

Adamant is preferred to maximize the power of Sucker Punch to break through bulky pokemon, Jolly Kingambits Sucker Punch can fail to kill Gouging Fire, specially defensive Heatran and Kyurem without black glasses and tera dark. These are all good points to bring up, but I'd argue you could reword this. Instead of saying "Jolly Kingambit fails to OHKO Gouging Fire, SpDef Heatran, and Kyurem without Black Glasses and Tera Dark," you could word it more like "Adamant Kingambit can reliably OHKO Gouging Fire, Specially Defensive Heatran, and Kyurem without relying on Black Glasses and Tera Dark (which can open up different Tera types and items)." Don't word it exactly like that; use that as a general idea. Running Jolly over Adamant can be used to win the Low Kick Kingambit mirror against Adamant variants and break through Ironpress Skarmory and Corviknight before they can boost defense, however the power drop from losing out on Adamant limits Kingambit in all other matchups, while Sucker Punch nullifies Adamants speed drop.

Kingambit can also be used alongside screens Deoxys-Speed could mention Veil/Alolan Ninetales here as well, although it's a little more situational than Deo-S, appreciating screens to make Tera Dark easier to setup and providing a highly valuable Dragapult check to the screens team. Solid work! This'll be QC 1/2. The content you have here is very solid; there's some wording/structure stuff that GP will iron out with you once we get to that stage.

Great work, I like this writeup a lot so far - just covered a few things that could be included / dropped / moved around but I'm a fan of how examples have been provided for most of the reasoning.

(These are all good and relevant examples but I think the list is a little long here - Primarina is pretty niche and has bad PhysDef while Low Kick hits Lu much harder so they're probably the easiest to cut out for clarity here.) Low Kick can be used over Kowtow Cleave or Iron Head to beat opposing Kingambit, although dropping Iron Head for Low Kick leaves Kingambit walled by Fairy types while dropping Kowtow Cleave leaves Kingambit walled by Skeledirge and Toxapex and leaves Kingambit stuck with the less reliable Sucker Punch as a dark move. Kingambits item slot is very flexible depending on the needs of the team. Black Glasses is the best item on Kingambit to stack with Supreme Overlord and potentially dark type terastalization, Air Balloon can be used to gain setup opportunities on ground types like Great Tusk, Gliscor and Landorus-Therian, Heavy Duty Boots is great on teams with either no or unreliable hazard control to keep Kingambit from being worn down by spikes especially early on in the game, and Lum Berry is a niche option to absorb otherwise crippling status from pokemon like Galarian Slowking, Dragapult, Cinderace, Gholdengo (Could remove this as status move Ghold is no longer in the dex sets) and Darkrai. Tera Dark powers up Sucker Punch and Kowtow Cleave while removing Kingambits Fire and Ground weaknesses, and in combination with Black Glasses and +2 attack allows Kingambits Kowtow Cleave to OHKO physical walls such as Alolomola, Gliscor and Garganacl and 2HKO Dondozo and Great Tusk (The 2HKO on Great Tusk isn't too relevant since you always want to hit it with your other move while the 2HKO on Dondozo happens without +2, although it's definitely a very relevant reason to use Tera Dark Glasses. Could maybe move the Dozo comment to the end of this sentence as an "Additionally..."?) while Sucker Punch OHKOs Roaring Moon, Keldeo, (This is a good calc but Sucker Punch will fail on standard Keldeo using Vacuum Wave) opposing offensive Kingambit after spikes and Hisuian Samurott. Tera Flying removes Kingambits Ground and Fighting weaknesses to allow Kingambit to setup on ground, fire and fighting type moves (Fire is still neutral and no real Fire-type attackers are listed here - you already mentioned removing Ground and Fighting weaknesses so you could just say atttacks from the listed mons) from Great Tusk, Gliscor and Zamazenta while also giving Kingambit a valuable spikes immunity and preserving it's toxic spikes immunity. (This is okay information but not sure how important it is to include, Toxic Spikes immunity is only really relevant into Glimmora and you're immune to Tspike anyway while Spikes is valuable but then you're weak to Stealth Rock which does almost as much as 3 spikes + rocks would do to untera'd Kingambit.) Tera Fighting can be used with Low Kick to always OHKO defensive Great Tusk at +2 with 5 allies fainted after a spike and 2HKO Dondozo after chip (2HKO after chip sounds a little weird - technically anything can be 2HKO'd with enough chip lmao) and 5 allies fainted while providing more setup opportunities than tera dark, with the advantage of shedding Kingambits fighting weakness. Adamant is preferred to maximize the power of Sucker Punch to break through bulky pokemon, Adamant Kingambits Sucker Punch can OHKO notable targets in Gouging Fire, specially defensive Heatran and Kyurem (Without Black Glasses / Tera Dark you don't even guaranteed OHKO Gouging or Heatran with +2, 5 Fallen Sucker Punch while you need +2 and 4 Fallen for the OHKO on Kyurem. Not asking for ultra specific calcs, but these don't fit this description - something like Dragapult does and you could prob find some other solid reasoning for Ada Sucker Punch) without black glasses and tera dark that Jolly variants need extra boosts for.

Kingambit fits on offensive and balanced teams that appreciate its defensive profile and revenge killing capabilities while serving as a late-game wincon, being able to defensively check non Focus Blast Gholdengo, specs Dragapult, Meowscarada and Weavile without Low Kick and Serperior barring Tera Blast. Offensively, Kingambit can revenge kill a wide range of pokemon, including Deoxys Speed, Dragapult, Gouging Fire and Kyurem (As mentioned before, Kingambit can't revenge Gouging particularly with the recommended set using Morning Sun so you can't safely Sucker Punch) while being able to revenge kill anything without Substitute, Encore or strong neutral priority given enough chip damage. Roaring Moon is an excellent partner for Kingambit, overloading Dark resists and physical walls for each other and paving the way for one of them to break through and end the game. On balanced teams, hazard stackers like Skarmory and Gliscor can synergize well with Kingambit, while on offensive teams other hazard setters such as Glimmora, Deoxys-Speed, and Samurott-Hisui can help Kingambit break through resists, especially Great Tusk variants without Heavy Duty Boots that can be forced to take hazard chip early on. Spikes Gliscor in particular provides a valuable highly resilient Ground immunity and fighting resistance, while Gliscors Toxic also synergizes with Sucker Punch to help ease prediction by putting opposing pokemon on a turn limit. (Niche interaction but I don't hate its inclusion) Kingambit can also be used alongside screens Deoxys-Speed and Alolan Ninetales, appreciating screens to make Tera Dark (Any Tera type of Kingambit can make use of screens) easier to setup and providing a highly valuable Dragapult check to the screens team. Rillaboom can support Kingambit with Grassy Surge, giving Kingambit easier setup opportunities with extra HP and weakened earthquake (From who? Gliscor and Great Tusk are solid examples) while synergizing with Sucker Punch (How? I do get how it works, but it feels like a little of a niche synergy and might be a bit wordy to explain to someone reading the set), while Rillaboom can pivot into Ogerpon Wellspring, Great Tusk and Dondozo and knocks off Rocky Helmet from Skarmory and Corviknight. Slowking-Galar Galarian Slowking (Naming convention) appreciates Kingambit resisting Ghost and Dark attacks aimed at it, while supporting Kingambit with Future Sight to break through Dark resists (Maybe rephrase this as a lot of common Dark resists are Dark-types themselves - you could list certain Gambit checks that Fsight helps it beat) and physical walls that don't resist Future Sight (Tbh certain Fsight resists like Skarmory also don't like taking one) and switching into fighting and fairy attacks for Kingambit. (From who? Also, Kingambit isn't weak to Fairy so they aren't the most common way of revenging it) Kingambit is vulnerable to fighting and fairy type pokemon, (feels a little like Fighting is just Dex info and you don't necessarily struggle into Fairy types - for example, you have a positive matchup vs Clefable) encore users, ironpress users, (this is likely just covered by "physical walls") substitute and physical walls. Kingambit can also be weak to priority from Rillaboom and Dragonite after Terastalizing (relevant but a little of a niche situation, plus you're actually a little better vs Dnite after Tera since they usually run EQ) and will always struggle against Raging Bolt. Gholdengo is a great teammate for Kingambit, being able to handle threats like Iron Valiant, Zamazenta, Skarmory, Corviknight, Substitute Iron Boulder, and Dondozo while checking Rillaboom and Dragonite and softening opposing teams for Kingambit to finish off using Gholdengos own wallbreaking capabilities and excellence of keeping entry hazards on the field. Volcarona is another excellent partner for Kingambit, countering Skarmory, Corviknight, Zamazenta without Stone Edge, Iron Valiant, Rillaboom (Rilla isn't a great Kingambit answer) and Enamorus, while sometimes punishing other checks in Great Tusk, low kick Weavile and Meowscarada and Dragonite with Flame Body, turning them into setup fodder for Kingambit.

Kingambits Kingambit's item slot is very flexible depending on the needs of the team; (RC, ASC) Black Glasses is the best item on Kingambit to stack with Supreme Overlord and potentially dark type terastalization Dark Tera, Air Balloon can be used to gain setup opportunities on ground types Ground-types like Great Tusk, Gliscor, (AC) and Landorus-Therian, Lum Berry is an option to absorb otherwise crippling status from pokemon Pokemon like Galarian Slowking, Dragapult, Cinderace, and Darkrai, and finally Heavy-Duty (hyphen) Boots is an option on teams with either no or unreliable entry hazard control to keep Kingambit from being worn down by spikes Spikes early on in the game (can change it to early-game; this sentence is also very long, consider giving each item their own sentence). Tera Dark powers up Sucker Punch and Kowtow Cleave while removing Kingambits Fire and Ground weaknesses Kingambit's weaknesses to Fire- and Ground-type moves, and. (AP) In (capital I) combination with Black Glasses and +2 attack, (AC) it allows Kingambits Kingambit's Kowtow Cleave to OHKO physical walls such as Alolomola Alomomola, Gliscor, (AC) and Garganacl. (AP) and Additionally (capital), (AC) it 2HKO 2HKOes Dondozo unboosted, (AC) while +2 Sucker Punch OHKOs OHKOes Roaring Moon, opposing offensive Kingambit after spikes Spikes, (AC) and Hisuian Samurott. Tera Flying removes Kingambits Ground and Fighting weaknesses Kingambit's weaknesses to Ground- and Fighting-type moves to allow Kingambit to setup set up on ground and fighting type Ground- and Fighting-types moves from such as Great Tusk, Gliscor, (AC) and Zamazenta. Tera Fighting can be used with Low Kick to always OHKO defensive Great Tusk at +2 with 5 allies fainted after a spike Spike and 3HKO Dondozo with 5 allies fainted while providing more setup opportunities than tera dark Tera Dark, with the advantage of shedding Kingambits fighting weakness Kingambit's weakness to Fighting-type attacks ("with the..." can be split). Adamant is preferred to maximize the power of Sucker Punch to break through bulky pokemon Pokemon (like? examples would be good here). (RC, AP) Adamant Kingambits Kingambit's Sucker Punch can OHKO various pokemon Pokemon depending on gamestate the state of the game (idt gamestate is a formal term), but Jolly Kingambit cannot even reliably OHKO Dragapult with no boosts. (AP) while Also, (AC) Jolly, (RC) 5 fallen Kingambit with 5 allies fainted cannot ever (i think 'even' is what you meant) 3HKO Dondozo without Black Glasses or Terastalization. Running Jolly over Adamant can be used to win the Low Kick Kingambit mirror (matchup?) against Adamant variants and break through Ironpress IronPress Skarmory and Corviknight before they can boost defense Defense. (RC, AP) However, (AC, capital H) the power drop from losing out on Adamant limits Kingambit in all other matchups, while especially when Sucker Punch nullifies Adamants Adamant's speed drop anyway (i believe this is what u meant. the two lines weren't rly connected).

Kingambit fits on offensive and balanced teams that appreciate its defensive profile and revenge killing capabilities while serving as a revenge killer and late-game wincon, being able to defensively check non-Focus Blast (hyphen) Gholdengo, specs Choice Specs Dragapult, Meowscarada, (AC) and Weavile without Low Kick and Serperior barring Tera Blast. Offensively, Kingambit can revenge kill a wide range of Pokemon (capital P), including Deoxys Speed Deoxys-S, Dragapult, and Kyurem while also being able to revenge kill anything without Substitute, Encore, (AC) or strong neutral priority, (AC) given enough chip damage. Roaring Moon is an excellent partner for Kingambit, overloading Dark resists Dark-resistant foes and physical walls for each other and paving the way for one of them to break through and end the game. On balanced teams, entry hazard stackers setters (spikes stackers might be better here) like Skarmory and Gliscor synergize well with Kingambit, while on offensive teams, (AC) other hazard setters such as Glimmora, Deoxys-Speed, and Samurott-Hisui Hisuian Samurott can help Kingambit break through resists foes that resist its moves, especially Great Tusk variants without Heavy-Duty (hyphen) Boots that, (AC) which can be forced to take hazard chip early on. Spikes Gliscor in particular provides a valuable highly resilient (highly valuable and resilient?) Ground immunity and fighting Fighting resistance. (RC, AP) while Gliscors Gliscor's Toxic also synergizes with Sucker Punch, (AC) to helping to ease prediction by putting opposing Pokemon (capital) on a turn limit. Kingambit can also be used alongside dual screens Deoxys-Speed and Alolan Ninetales, appreciating dual screens to make Kingambit it easier to set up (space) and providing a highly valuable Dragapult check to the screens team. Rillaboom can support Kingambit with Grassy Surge, giving Kingambit easier setup opportunities with extra HP and weakening earthquake Earthquake from Gliscor, Great Tusk, Landorus Therian Landorus-T, (AC) and Ting Lu. (RC, AP) while Rillaboom It can also pivot into Ogerpon-Wellspring (ah), Great Tusk, (AC) and Dondozo and knock off Knock Off Rocky Helmet from Skarmory and Corviknight. Galarian Slowking appreciates Kingambit resisting Ghost- (ah) and Dark-type attacks aimed at it. (RC, AP) while In return, it supporting supports Kingambit with Future Sight to break through Great Tusk, Zamazenta, Dondozo, Alomomola, (AC) and Skarmory while also switching into Iron Valiant, Enamorus, (AC) and Zamazenta for Kingambit. Kingambit is vulnerable to Encore users, Substitute (users?) and physical walls. Kingambit can also be weak to priority from Rillaboom, opposing Kingambit, (AC) and Dragonite after Terastalizing, (AC) and will always struggle against Raging Bolt. Gholdengo is a great teammate for Kingambit, being able to handle threats like Iron Valiant, Zamazenta, Skarmory, Corviknight, Substitute Iron Boulder, and Dondozo while checking Rillaboom and Dragonite. (AP) and softening It also softens opposing teams for Kingambit to finish off using Gholdengos Gholdengo's own wallbreaking capabilities and excellence of in keeping entry hazards on the field. Volcarona is another excellent partner for Kingambit, countering Skarmory, Corviknight, Zamazenta without Stone Edge, Iron Valiant, and Enamorus while. (RC, AP) It also sometimes punishing punishes other Kingambit checks in Great Tusk, Low Kick Weavile and Meowscarada, (AC) and Dragonite with Flame Body, turning them into setup fodder for Kingambit.

[SET COMMENTS]
Kingambit is the premier offensive Pokemon in OU, with potent wallbreaking and sweeping potential thanks to its high Attack bolstered by Supreme Overlord and Swords Dance, combined with Dance. It has excellent natural bulk and the ability to either terastallize Terastallize to either maximize damage output or gain defensive advantages against its checks. Its strong Sucker Punch makes it one of the best anti-offense tools in the metagame. Kingambit can use Kowtow Cleave for a more consistent Dark-type attack than Sucker Punch, a move that hits targets on the switch and doesn't fail against faster priority and status moves. (dex info - no need to explain what moves do) Iron Head gives coverage against Dark-resistant Pokemon, notably Clefable, Iron Valiant, Enamorus, Great Tusk, and Zamazenta. (cut to 3 imo) Low Kick can be used over Kowtow Cleave or Iron Head to beat opposing Kingambit, although dropping Iron Head for Low Kick leaves Kingambit walled by Fairy types, while dropping Kowtow Cleave leaves Kingambit walled by Skeledirge and Toxapex and leaves it stuck with the less reliable Sucker Punch as the its only Dark-type move. Kingambit's item slot is very flexible depending on the needs of the team; Black team. Black Glasses is the best item on Kingambit to stack with Supreme Overlord and potentially Dark Tera, Tera Dark; (semicolon) Air Balloon can be used to gain setup opportunities on Ground-types like Great Tusk, Gliscor, and Landorus-T; (semicolon) Lum Berry is an option to absorb otherwise crippling status from Pokemon like Galarian Slowking, Dragapult, and Cinderace, and Darkrai; (semicolon - edited for sleep ban) and Heavy-Duty Boots is an option on teams with either no or unreliable entry hazard control to keep Kingambit from being worn down by Spikes early-game. Tera Dark powers up Sucker Punch and Kowtow Cleave while removing Kingambit's weaknesses to Fire- and Ground-type moves. In combination with Black Glasses and +2 attack Attack, it allows Kingambit's Kowtow Cleave to OHKO physical walls such as Alomomola, Gliscor, and Garganacl. Additionally, it Kowtow Cleave 2HKOes Dondozo unboosted (irrelevant bc unaware), while +2 Sucker Punch OHKOes Roaring Moon, opposing offensive Kingambit after Spikes, and Hisuian Samurott. Tera Flying removes Kingambit's weaknesses to Ground- and Fighting-type moves to allow allows Kingambit to set up on Ground- and Fighting-types such as Great Tusk, Gliscor, and Zamazenta. Tera Fighting can be used with Low Kick to always OHKO defensive Great Tusk at +2 with 5 allies fainted and a Spike five Supreme Overlord boosts and a layer of Spikes, and it can and 3HKO Dondozo with 5 allies fainted while providing five Supereme Overlord boosts. Tera Fighting also provides more setup opportunities than Tera Dark, with the advantage of shedding Kingambit's weakness to Fighting-type attacks. Adamant is preferred to maximize the power of Sucker Punch to break through bulky Pokemon. Adamant Kingambit's Sucker Punch can OHKO various Pokemon depending on the state of the game, but Jolly Kingambit cannot even reliably OHKO Dragapult with no boosts. Also, Jolly Kingambit with 5 allies fainted cannot ever 3HKO Dondozo without Black Glasses or Tera. Jolly can be run over Adamant can be used to win the Low Kick Kingambit mirror matchup against Adamant variants and break through outspeed IronPress Skarmory and Corviknight before they can boost Defense. However, the power drop from losing out on Adamant limits Kingambit in all other matchups, especially when Sucker Punch nullifies Adamant's speed drop anyway; (semicolon) Jolly Kingambit cannot OHKO Dragapult with Sucker Punch unboosted, and even with five Supreme Overlord boosts, it cannot 3HKO Dondozo without Black Glasses or Tera Dark. (rephrasing bc the 'adamant sucker can do things depending on the state of the game' doesn't actually say anything)

Kingambit fits on offensive and balanced (bulky offense is probably better here; don't see why balance wouldn't use the max hp one) teams that appreciate its defensive profile and capabilities as a revenge killer and late-game wincon sweeper, being able to defensively check non-Focus Blast Gholdengo, Choice Specs Dragapult, Meowscarada, and Weavile without Low Kick and Serperior barring Tera Blast. (two different 'ands' here and there's too many examples for it to be worth keeping serp anyway. 3 is ideal for almost all lists) Offensively, Kingambit can revenge kill a wide range of Pokemon, including Deoxys-S, Dragapult, and Kyurem while also being able to revenge kill anything without Substitute, Encore, or strong neutral priority, given enough chip damage. Roaring Moon is an excellent partner for Kingambit, overloading Dark-resistant foes and physical walls for each other and paving the way for one of them to break through and end the game. On balanced (bulky offense if you make the first change; examples are still fine bc ive seen kyurem gambit skarm teams) teams, Spikes setters like Skarmory and Gliscor synergize well with Kingambit, while on offensive teams, other hazard setters such as Glimmora, Deoxys-S, and Hisuian Samurott help Kingambit break through foes that resist its moves, especially Great Tusk variants without Heavy-Duty Boots, which can be forced to take hazard chip early on. Spikes Gliscor in particular provides a highly valuable and resilient Ground immunity and Fighting resistance. Gliscor's resistance, and its Toxic also synergizes with Sucker Punch, helping to ease prediction by putting opposing Pokemon on a turn limit. On offensive teams, hazard setters such as Glimmora, Deoxys-S, and Hisuian Samurott help Kingambit break through foes that resist its moves, especially Great Tusk variants without Heavy-Duty Boots, which can be forced to take hazard chip early on. Kingambit can also be used alongside dual screens Deoxys-S and Alolan Ninetales, appreciating dual screens to make making it easier to set up and providing a highly valuable Dragapult check to the dual screens team. Rillaboom can support Kingambit with Grassy Surge, giving Kingambit it easier setup opportunities with extra HP and weakening Earthquake from Gliscor, Great Tusk, Landorus-T, and Ting Lu. It Ting-Lu. Rillaboom can also pivot into Ogerpon-W, Great Tusk, and Dondozo and remove Knock Off Rocky Helmet from Skarmory and Corviknight with Knock Off. Kingambit is vulnerable to Encore, Substitute, and physical walls. Kingambit can also be weak to priority from Rillaboom, opposing Kingambit, and Dragonite after Tera, and will always struggle against Raging Bolt. (not really sure how necessary / relevant this is - it's 2 sentences about what it's weak to without linking to teammates. it would be better to delete this part and add references to this stuff in the same points as listing teammates to help) Gholdengo is a great teammate for Kingambit, being able to handle threats like Iron Valiant, Zamazenta, Skarmory, Corviknight, Substitute Iron Boulder, and Dondozo while checking Rillaboom and Dragonite, (AC) which can punish its Sucker Punch with priority. It also softens opposing teams for Kingambit to finish off using Gholdengo's own wallbreaking capabilities and excellence in keeping entry hazards on the field. Volcarona is another excellent partner for Kingambit, countering Skarmory, Corviknight, Zamazenta without Stone Edge, Iron Valiant, and Enamorus. (would cut down these examples too) It also sometimes punishes other Kingambit checks in Great Tusk, Low Kick Weavile and Meowscarada, and Dragonite with Flame Body, turning them into setup fodder for Kingambit.
