Welcome to Smogon! Take a moment to read the Introduction to Smogon for a run-down on everything Smogon, and make sure you take some time to read the global rules.
Our next pokemon will be none other than Alola's pseudo legendary, Kommo-o!
The dragon gained some new tools in USUM with movepool additions like Close Combat giving it a viable niche in the UU tier. While it has some well established sweeper sets, let's see what we can come up with using its gigantic movepool!
Sets are due 2/24/18 EST Morning. The following Sets are blacklisted:
While the Choice Specs set is one of the most effective sets early in the Sun and Moon metagame, the prevalence of Breloom and Amoonguss makes Sleep Talk worth recognizing; it serves as one of the most effective Sleep absorbing Pokemon in the metagame while dealing massive damage to the opposition. Clanging Scales is one of the main reasons for choosing Kommo-o over some of the deadliest Dragon types; while it has a drawback of lowering its Defense by one stage, at least Kommo-o can stay for long and fire as many as possible without fear of Special Attack drops unlike Draco Meteor. Another STAB attack worth noting here is Focus Blast, though it is used sparingly due to accuracy issues, but it can deal a massive amount of damage to a point that it can decimate Scizor in one hit, hence the drop in Flamethrower. Therefore, Flash Cannon is the filler move for Kommo-o to deal with Fairy-types that are immune to Clanging Scales and are resistant to Focus Blast. The EVs are set such that it can outrun Adamant Breloom variants while maximizing its damage output as much as possible.
This version of Kommo-o functions as a breaker as well as a late game win condition for its team, I found that running it as a late game cleaner on hazard stack builds to be quite effective. The main draw to using this set on a HO team is its ability to threaten stall builds with out the speed boost, whilst giving its user the opportunity to late game clean versus more offensive teams with the click of a button. STAB Focus Blast can 2HKO Blissey, provided it hits, and having the option to change moves forces your opponent to think carefully about their next move versus Kommo-o. For instance, Kommo-o is really only walled by something such as Mantine. Autotomize eliminates your opponents chances of catching Kommo-o with the revenge KO especially against bulky builds and offence. I feel that this particular set enables me to get the most out of Kommo-o. The Speed EVs let you outpace Jolly Breloom as well as Choice Scarf Latias at +2.
Just a defensive Kommo-o set. It's SpD and can achieve some things like tanking unboosted Latias's DM, and take on a few of strong special attackers like Serperior, Manectric-Mega, and can tank some physical hits as well and just phaze setups. It can regain HP with Rest and Drain Punch if chosen while it can still continue to check setups with Sleep Talk into Dragon Tail. Rocky Helmet helps Kommo-o to punish some U-Turns stuff or physical attackers that touch it too much but it can be replaced by Leftovers to boost recovery and avoid some KO's. It checks bulky Water types too as it doesn't let them boost and lives a +2 Ice Beam from Suicune if it has to. It adops Overcoat which allows it to switch into Amoonguss and Breloom's Spore but it can also adopt Bulletproof which immunes it to Shadow Ball or Sludge Bomb or Soundproof if it just wants to troll Sylveon :'). Brick Break breaks Screens while Drain Punch boosts recovery, they're all 2 STABs. Dragon Tail allows Kommo-o to phaze, RestTalk is usual recovery combo. However this set justs leaves Altaria-Mega in and is a niche for Fairies but in a tier where so many teams have a Scizor, I think that's not important. The set is also really passive and weak to Taunt and stuff. Well, I could continue but I think I'm done with this.

Thanks to Ahzee for letting me know about this set's existence.
My vote goes to Euphonos, the tier is desperately in need of Breloom checks and that's a good one, along with Kommo-o hitting surprisingly hard on the special end.
Congrats to sparrow for winning Week Five! Your set will be posted in the Hall of Fame shortly.
