Rules:
  • Standard SV NU
  • Each round will be Best of 3, and you are allowed to switch teams between games.
  • All changes that happen in the tier during the middle of the week will not apply until the next round.
  • You are expected to know and follow all general tournament rules.
  • VMs are only thing that matters for activity. Use this guide to ensure you don't lose via activity or coinflip.
This year, NU Swiss is the first of our Type A tournaments this year, which are your best chance to qualify for the NU Circuit Playoffs! There will only be 1 traditional double elimination tournament this year (i.e. NeverUsed League) unlike previous iterations, so Swiss will effectively serve as our first Seasonal. You can read more about the Circuit this year here. There's also been a massive overhaul to how the Swiss format will work. If you need a TL;DR, then know that it will function as a Triple Elimination tournament that funnels into a Single Elimination Playoffs. For this iteration, if you are still in the tournament, you are not out yet.

  • There will be an amount of rounds proportional to how many players sign up equal to how many rounds it would take for a single player to be undefeated. For example, we will have 6 rounds for 64 players, 7 for 128, and 8 for 256.
  • For each round, you will be matched up with someone that has the same record as you in the tournament. For example, if you are 2-1, you will be matched up against someone with the same rating as you.
  • As soon as you hit 3 losses (X-3), you are eliminated from the tournament entirely. This is done to avoid the issues of high drop rate and burnout.
  • Once all rounds are done, everyone with 2 or less losses will be added to a single elimination bracket (Top Cut), where they will be first seeded by record, then strength of opponent. If there are not enough players to make a complete bracket, byes will be given to the highest seed players. This will continue until there is 1 person remaining, which will be the winner.

HL mu right here. I rlly haven’t seen anything crazy out of lilo he’s just a rlly solid player. If lilo can take advantage of zS’s building trends he can win otherwise I pick zS down the stretch.
[3] Axrtix vs (winner of [14] jeza.p vs [19] GW)
Kind of an upset but axrtix keeps winning and I see a lot of promise out of him. Can see him beating either of these guys although obviously GW is a tougher mu.
[4] Finchinator vs [20] outbackrabbit
The true upset, I pick wadley over finch bc I feel more confident that he will put in the effort to out prep finch. Finch is no slouch though and will always be a threat. This one is more 40/60 up to how much wadley tries.
[28] rom1x38 vs [21] Luck O' the Irish
P clear cut pick here, rom is solid but Irish is chugging along well. If he doesn’t build some new shit though I think Ron might have a chance.

Another HL mu, picking Ava bc he is doing super well and if he gets the right teams I feel he is the brtter

fun mu here another HL, predict kythr over eifo based on only feeling. Both are great players but feel like kythr’s team plugs are better. Just s gut feeling Can go both ways.
