[OVERVIEW]
Naganadel's Speed, Special Attack, and access to powerful STAB moves like Draco Meteor and Sludge Wave allow it to outspeed and OHKO many Dragon-, Grass-, and Fairy-type Pokemon such as Zygarde-C, Kommo-o, non-Choice Scarf or specially defensive Tapu Lele, Tapu Fini, and Jumpluff, as well as Normalium Z or Choice Specs Porygon-Z and non-Choice Scarf Garchomp. Furthermore, a strong coverage move in Fire Blast lets it hit Steel-type Pokemon that resist its STAB attacks for super effective damage. However, Naganadel has rather low defensive stats, making it very weak to opposing Pokemon that can outspeed or tank a hit and retaliate with either super effective attacks like Outrage and Earthquake from Mega Gyarados or powerful STAB moves like Giga Impact from Mega Lopunny, and Ice Beam from Greninja. Naganadel's shallow movepool leaves it with only Draco Meteor, Sludge Wave, and Fire Blast as clear options for moves without many choices for a fourth, making it a very linear Pokemon.

Moves
========
Draco Meteor is Naganadel’s hardest-hitting STAB move that should be used when the rest of Naganadel's moves aren't super effective, such as against Porygon-Z or Landorus-T, and on other Dragon-types, like Zygarde-C and Kommo-o. Sludge Wave is best used against opposing Fairy- and Grass-types such as Tapu Lele and Jumpluff. Fire Blast is Naganadel’s hardest-hitting coverage move that is best used against Steel-types such as Genesect, Kartana, offensive Magearna, and Mega Metagross. Hidden Power Rock is used to better Naganadel's matchup versus both Mega Charizard X and Mega Charizard Y, allowing Naganadel to OHKO Mega Charizard Y and OHKO specially defensive Mega Charizard X should it opt to not Mega Evolve.
Set Details
========
Maximum Speed investment paired with a Timid nature allows Naganadel to outspeed as much as possible, most notably base 110 Speed Pokemon like Jumpluff. Maximum Special Attack investment allows Naganadel to hit as hard as it can while still retaining maximum Speed by nature. 4 Special Defense EVs cause Choice Scarf Genesect's Download to boost Attack instead of Special Attack, which is crucial when Naganadel is against it.
Usage Tips
========
Naganadel is generally a fairly simple Pokemon that should be used to OHKO Pokemon like Zygarde and Tapu Lele without the need of setting up or stalling. Naganadel is best used against Pokemon with fairly low Special Defense like Kartana or Pokemon that it can hit super effectively like Zygarde and Genesect. Naganadel does not survive many hits, so it struggles to deal with Pokemon that are faster than it like Mega Lopunny and Greninja. Naganadel also struggles with specially defensive walls that it fails to OHKO like Chansey and Meloetta. Naganadel cannot deal with Pokemon with the ability Sturdy like Donphan and Crustle, as they will always survive its moves from full health and can retaliate to KO. If you think an opposing Charizard will Mega Evolve, Naganadel should use Draco Meteor instead of Hidden Power Rock. Otherwise, Naganadel should use Hidden Power Rock against Charizard the rest of the time.
Team Options
========
Naganadel synergizes well with Ground-type Pokemon like Bulldoze Donphan and Landorus-T due to their ability to break Steel-types that Naganadel struggles with, like bulky Magearna, and take down Mega Lopunny, which can outspeed and OHKO Naganadel. Naganadel also covers many of Donphan and Landorus-T's counters like Jumpluff, Primarina, and Tapu Lele in return. Fire-types like Mega Charizard Y and Incineroar similarly are great teammates thanks to their ability to defeat Steel-type Pokemon Naganadel can't beat such as Jirachi and Aegislash. A bulky Mega Charizard Y can beat Greninja and Lopunny as well, which Naganadel struggles with. Naganadel has difficulties with Pokemon that run Sturdy, namely Donphan and Golem, so another good teammate would be Mega Gyarados thanks to its access to Mold Breaker. In return, Naganadel helps to deal with Fairy- and Grass-types that Gyarados struggles with, such as Tapu Fini and Jumpluff. Physical attackers like Sawk and Mega Medicham are also good teammates for Naganadel, as they are able to break specially defensive Pokemon that Naganadel can't deal with like Chansey and Hoopa-U.

Other Options
=============
A Modest nature is an alternative to Timid for Naganadel to run. With Modest, it underspeeds Pokemon like Jumpluff and Mega Lucario but has better rolls against Pokemon like bulky Magearna and Mega Mawile. When Naganadel is Modest, it can also run Thunderbolt over Hidden Power Rock to have a consistently winning matchup against Mega Slowbro. Dragonium Z is an option for Naganadel, allowing it to boost the power of Draco Meteor to the same level of running Choice Specs once while also allowing Naganadel to use Nasty Plot and break Pokemon such as Mega Slowbro and Sableye. Dragonium Z's flaw is that it makes Naganadel unable to deal with Pokemon like Mega Gardevoir and Tapu Lele. Poisonium Z also allows Naganadel to break through similar special walls and deal with Fairy-type Pokemon like Mega Gardevoir and Tapu Lele, but Naganadel loses out on other matchups such as against specially defensive Zygarde, Mega Mawile, and Landorus-T that Choice Specs and Dragonium Z would otherwise allow it to win. Modest Choice Scarf is another option for Naganadel, allowing it to outspeed Pokemon such as Greninja and other Choice Scarf users like Jirachi. Firium Z is another possible item for Naganadel, boosting Fire Blast's damage. This allows Naganadel to guarantee a KO against non-heavy Special Defense-invested Steel-type Pokemon like Mega Metagross and Magearna. Air Slash is an alternative option to Hidden Power Rock, covering Pokemon like Mega Heracross. Signal Beam is also an option to cover Hoopa-U.
Checks and Counters
===================
**Specially Bulky Offense**: Offensive Pokemon that invest in their special bulk such as Magearna, Mega Metagross, Mega Gyarados, Meloetta, and Dragonite can tank a hit from Naganadel and KO it in return.
**Sturdy Pokemon**: Study Pokemon like Crustle, Donphan, and Golem are guaranteed to survive a hit from Naganadel and then KO it in return.
**Special Walls**: Naganadel struggles to break through special walls like Type: Null, Chansey, and Porygon2, unless it has Nasty Plot.
**Faster Pokemon**: While Naganadel is fast, it is not the fastest Pokemon in the tier. Its meager defenses allow it to be reliably eliminated by faster Pokemon like Mega Lopunny, Greninja, Zeraora, and Choice Scarf Pokemon like Excadrill and Haxorus. However, Choice Scarf Naganadel can lure these Pokemon in and proceed to KO them.
