Mew has made a name for itself in the current OU metagame due to this demonic set. Cosmic Power turns Mew into a deadly and reliable setup sweeper late-game, when Pokemon like Weavile, Bisharp, and Blacephalon as well as Choice Scarf users with Trick such as Tapu Fini and Victini and faster Toxic users like Tornadus-T have been crippled or removed. Stored Power gets incrementally more powerful with Cosmic Power; furthermore, Weakness Policy greatly boosts the move's BP and helps Mew take advantage of stray Knock Off and U-turn use in tandem with Cosmic Power or dual screens. Taunt blocks status moves such as Toxic from Landorus-T and Heatran and Haze from Toxapex. Mew appreciates Dark-types being severely weakened, so Flame Body Heatran and Baneful Bunker Toxapex make for great partners, as they put Weavile on a timer and potentially turn it into setup fodder. Non-Heavy-Duty Boots Weavile and Blacephalon also dislike Toxapex's Toxic Spikes, which helps whittle them down.

I'm not formally QC anymore, but I figured I'd give my input to get this rolling.

This hazelnut mouse not sure what hazelnut has to do with Mew, but maybe this is flying over my head made a name for itself in the current metagame of OU, due to this demonic set. Cosmic Power turns Mew into a deadly and reliable setup sweeper in the lategame, when Pokemon like Weavile, Blacephalon, and Dragapult are removed or crippled beforehand. I would also mention faster Toxic users, specifically Toxic Tornadus-T, and Trick users, like Tapu Fini and Victini. Stored Power hits most of the tier except for Steel- and Dark-types for neutral damage and turns into a great BP move after the use of some Cosmic Powers. I would mainly focus on Dark-types here, as Taunt Mew is able to get past most Steel-types (and explaining which types resist Psychic is fluff). Soft-Boiled in conjunction with Leftovers give Mew a reliable form of recovery. It's probably not necessary to explicitly mention this. Taunt is for disrupting status such as Toxic from Landorus-T and Heatran and prevents Toxapex' Haze. Body Press is an alternative and hits Assault Vest Melmetal, Heatran Dark-types like Weavile, Hydreigon and Bisharp for super effective damage. Taunt Mew can deal with most Steel-types anyway; Body Press mainly targets the Dark-types that otherwise wall it. Mew appreciates the removal of Dark- and Ghost-types so Tapu Koko, Urshifu-R, and Weavile make for good partners to remove Weavile, Blacephalon, and Dragapult. Tapu Koko can also take on Corviknight for Mew. Tapu Koko and Urshifu-R can also generate momentum with U-turn for Mew to bring it in safely. Landorus-T is appreciated, as it can set Stealth Rocks to make Mews sweep easier in the lategame and with Knock Off it can remove items such as Leftovers from Corviknight and Heatran. This part is a bit generic, as any Pokemon appreciates pivoting, Stealth Rock and Knock Off support, and Corviknight and Heatran aren't much of an issue for Mew regardless. What partners definitely should be mentioned here, however, are Flame Body Heatran and Baneful Bunker (or Toxic (Spikes)) Toxapex, as getting opposing Weavile (by far the most prominent Dark-type) burned or poisoned means it can't stop Taunt Mew any longer long-term. Toxapex is also a great teammate for Mew, as Dragapult and Blacephalon dislike Toxic Spikes and it helps widdling whittling down the respective Ghost-types.

i know time is extremely dire and ruft’s check is really good so i won’t formally add a lot. change this to weakness policy and add that flame body heatran also weakens weavile’s breaking power against it which can make setup miles easier

1/1 once you do so
