move 4: Sucker Punch / Mach Punch
item: Life Orb
ability: Reckless
nature: Jolly

[SET COMMENTS]
Reckless boosts High Jump Kick's damage output to scary levels, allowing it to function as a wallbreaker with few switch-ins. Knock Off hits Ghost-types such as Jellicent and Sableye while also crippling bulky switch-ins like Vileplume and Weezing. Rapid Spin allows Hitmonlee to remove entry hazards from play while also boosting its Speed, making Hitmonlee act as a sweeper if need be and notably allowing it to outspeed all common Choice Scarf users except Indeedee. The last slot is dependent on the player's team. Sucker Punch allows Hitmonlee to hit Alolan Raichu and Rotom, whereas Mach Punch hits Silvally-Steel and Virizion. An important note is that Indeedee's Psychic Surge renders priority useless versus grounded Pokemon.
Even with Knock Off, Hitmonlee struggles to get past the Ghost-types of RU, primarily Jellicent and Sableye. For this reason, Decidueye is a good teammate, as it can threaten to KO both with Leaf Storm, though it has to be wary of Sableye's Knock Off. Silvally-Dark and Drapion can work well against Ghost-types while being immune to Sableye's Prankster moves, but they have to be careful of Jellicent burning them with Will-O-Wisp or Scald. Whimsicott is an excellent answer for both. Hitmonlee also struggles against Pokemon that run Protect, such as Vaporeon and Mudsdale; Virizion can come in for free against both of them. VoltTurn cores provide momentum and opportunities for Hitmonlee to come in, making Vikavolt a good teammate, especially with it providing Sticky Web support. Rotom-C and Silvally-Water also provide Volt Switch and U-turn support while having good synergy with Hitmonlee, as they can break through defensive Pokemon that Hitmonlee struggles with, such as Mudsdale. Drampa can block Vileplume's Strength Sap from restoring its health, ensuring Hitmonlee has an easier time breaking through it later in the match.

name: Unburden
move 1: Close Combat
move 2: Knock Off
move 3: Poison Jab
move 4: Earthquake
item: White Herb
ability: Unburden
nature: Adamant
evs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
[SET COMMENTS]
With Unburden activated, Hitmonlee becomes faster than the entire RU metagame, allowing it to sweep through weakened teams with relative ease. Close Combat is used as a strong STAB attack while the drops in defenses activate White Herb and Unburden. Knock Off is good coverage for Ghost- and Psychic-types, hitting Jellicent and Silvally-Ghost, and also hitting Raichu-Alola and Indeedee. Poison Jab is used primarily for hitting Silvally-Fairy and Aromatisse for super effective damage. Earthquake targets Salazzle, Drapion, and Ninetales. An Adamant nature is used, because with Unburden, nothing is faster than Hitmonlee as is. Blaze Kick could be used in the last slot to hit Vileplume and Vikavolt for super effective damage, but those are the only two targets. Stone Edge can be used to hit Vikavolt as well as OHKOing Charizard and hitting Braviary harder, the latter of which is a particularly valuable target, since it easily OHKOes Hitmonlee back. Rapid Spin could be an option, but only if your team lacks any other form of entry hazard control, but it is ill-advised since this set needs all of its coverage to successfully sweep.
This set functions as a late-game sweeper, so having strong wallbreakers to soften teams up early in the game is valuable. Examples of those include Ninetales, Drampa, and Copperajah. Hitmonlee also has to have its checks and counters weakened before it can sweep, so Pokemon that share those same counters have great synergy with it. Passimian invites Weezing and Mudsdale, chipping at them for Hitmonlee to sweep later. Virizion also does this well, luring Weezing and Vileplume and hitting them super effectively with coverage moves after setting up. Entry hazards provide residual damage that can help Hitmonlee sweep, which makes Accelgor and Duraludon good teammates with Spikes and Stealth Rock, respectively. Whimsicott can provide a useful switch-in (AH) for Sableye, while Decidueye is a strong special wallbreaker that punches holes in most of Hitmonlee's checks, such as Jellicent, Mudsdale, and Vileplume.
