The screenshot for 89 GXE is lost.
I don't even know at this point.

What started as a fun team that I'd mess around with somehow ended up to #5 on the Balanced Hackmons leaderboard. Seriously. I don't know how, but it did it anyway. Must be the limbo bar for a decent team that's so high, even a sentient skyscraper can walk below it.

Team building process:

:sm/vaporeon:

Initially, I wanted to build a joke team using Poison Heal Vaporeon as a main bulky Water. The main reason for this is because Vaporeon showed some potential with a fair amount of health and special defense, allowing it to tank Eternatus more effectively. Vaporeon's Scald also hits harder, allowing it to take on Ho-Oh more effectively.

:sm/vaporeon: :sm/yamask-galar:

Since this team wasn't serious, I added Yamask-Galar as a Fur Coat user. The team also needed a Regigigas counter, and Yamask-Galar was a godsend at this, nearly hard walling all Regigigas not carrying Glacial Lance. Ground-Type also allows it to resist Stealth Rock.

:sm/vaporeon: :sm/yamask-galar: :sm/shiinotic:

Shiinotic was introduced as a Palkia counter. Unlike Tapu Fini, Shiinotic is resistant to the rare Thunder. Shiinotic also can merge Xerneas' role as a Pixilate user, walling Palkia whilst also keeping hazards off the board, pressuring Giratina to stay off the field and otherwise hitting some Pokemon hard.

:sm/vaporeon: :sm/yamask-galar: :sm/shiinotic: :sm/carbink:

Initially I wanted to use Carbink as an Ice Scales user, as it is immensely bulky and would surely defend against most, if not all Xerneas sets. However, soon I noticed that the Rock-Type was a major downside to an Ice Scales Pokemon, as that would allow Xerneas to one-shot it with Fishious Rend. I had to find a new wall that was faster than Xerneas.

:sm/vaporeon: :sm/yamask-galar: :sm/shiinotic: :sm/cryogonal: :sm/mimikyu:

Cryogen was the only Pokemon I could find that fit the role. Being faster than Xerneas and having decent special bulk, allowing it to check more than Xerneas, it was suited for the team. Mimikyu is a Prankster Pokemon that has bulk, and is used just like any other prankster.

:sm/vaporeon: :sm/yamask-galar: :sm/shiinotic: :sm/cryogonal: :sm/mimikyu: :sm/drifblim:

Drifblim was used as an Imposter, as Flying-Type allows it to not take damage from Spikes. It also has a decent amount of health, acting bulkier than the opponent in most cases. Not much else reason for Drifblim other than that.

The Team

:sm/vaporeon:
unfunny copypasta (Vaporeon) @ Toxic Orb
Ability: Poison Heal
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Def / 252 SpA / 252 SpD
Sassy Nature
IVs: 0 Spe
- Scald
- Spikes
- Baneful Bunker
- Flip Turn

Hey guys, did you know that in terms of water Pokemon and this garbage team, Vaporeon is the most compatible for this team? Not only does it possess among the highest HP out of all of them, it also possesses some special bulk to back it up and its scalds hit hard, this means it's bulky enough to handle most special attackers, and with its special defense and defense in consideration, you can allow it to last a while before it has to heal. Due to Poison Heal, there is no doubt that this Pokemon is bulky, so bulky in fact that it can live a Dragon Energy from Palkia and get Shiinotic to nuke it. It also possesses the moves Flip Turn, Scald, Spikes and Baneful Bunker along with its decent bulk, so it'd be incredibly easy to have Vaporeon unkillable to the opposition. With Poison Heal, it can easily recover from Fatigue by spamming Baneful Bunker. No other Water-Type Pokemon comes close to this level of compatibility. Also, fun fact, if you set up all Spikes, you can pressure the opponent enough that they can't remove hazards, leading to more trouble. Ungodly defense stat + high HP pool + Poison means it can take damage all day, all kinds and severity and still come for more.

:sm/yamask-galar:

tax evasion (Yamask-Galar) @ Eviolite
Ability: Fur Coat
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Def / 252 SpA / 252 SpD
Relaxed Nature
IVs: 0 Spe
- Poison Fang
- Stealth Rock
- Shore Up
- Core Enforcer

Not much to say here other than a standard Fur Coat set. Poison Fang and Core Enforcer are tools to pressure the opponent into thinking if they really should stay in. Stealth Rocks are set up in order to punish switch-ins, pairing this with Poison Fang further pressures the opponent. Shore Up exists for longevity.

SHRIGMA MALE (Shiinotic) (M) @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Pixilate
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 252 SpA / 252 SpD
Sassy Nature
IVs: 0 Spe
- Boomburst
- Rapid Spin
- Soft-Boiled
- Volt Switch

The absolute star of the team, the one and only Shrigma Male. This team quite literally won't work without him, so don't replace him. The Shrigma Male possesses the highest Special bulk out of all Grass/Fairy Pokemon, which is an optimal type to counter Palkia. Boomburst/Rapid Spin is standard for Pixilate Pokemon, removing hazards and clicking Boomburst to scare away the Dragon-Types. Soft Boiled is again, important for longevity, and Volt Switch allows the Shrigma Male to escape Ho-Oh before being destroyed, possessing Heavy-Duty-Boots to swap into things without losing health. As it compresses the roles of Xerneas and Tapu Fini, it is among the most important Pokemon in this team, to counter one of the most important threats.

:sm/cryogonal:

127.13.67.12 (Cryogonal) @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Ice Scales
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Def / 252 SpA / 252 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Ice Beam
- Spectral Thief
- Shore Up
- Teleport / Knock Off

How or why does the Cryogonal know an IP address? That's not important, and it's a fake one anyway. Ice Beam allows Cryogonal to not remain passive, alongside Spectral Thief to punish Poison Heal users. Since Cryogonal is faster than Xerneas, it is less prone to Fishious Rend, and can use Spectral Thief on Quiver Dance sets to turn the opponent's boosts against them. Teleport is used to get Cryogonal out of a sticky situation if needed, though it may be swapped for Knock Off to counter Metronome users.

:sm/mimikyu:

hmmm (Mimikyu) @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Prankster
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 252 SpD
IVs: 0 Atk / 0 Spe
Sassy Nature
- Topsy-Turvy
- Shore Up
- U-turn
- Destiny Bond

Not much to say here other than your typical Prankster set. Minimum Attack EV/IVs prevent Strength Sap users from recovering enough health to remain in battle, alongside minimum speed to ensure a slow pivot. Shore Up exists for longevity, as no Prankster is truly viable without it. Destiny Bond is a last resort option, allowing Mimikyu to take down the opponent with it, and if they try to play around it, the player just pivots into their Imposter anyway.

:sm/drifblim:

what is ths (Drifblim) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Imposter
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 252 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Trick
- Shore Up
- Spikes
- Heal Bell
Your typical Imposter set. Choice Scarf is to outspeed the opposition and get some clean kills where possible. The set chosen is close to optimal, Trick is used to cripple a defensive Pokemon with Choice Scarf. Shore Up allows Drifblim to remain healthy throughout the match, Spikes is set up for pressure and Heal Bell clears all Pokemon of status.

Karla actually made a funny meme, who would have thought. Congrats on reaching top 5! Everyone scoffed at the idea of using Shiinotic but Shrigma male proved to be above the competition.
