The combination of Nasty Plot, Agility, and Berserk makes Galarian Moltres a terrifying setup sweeper that is incredibly difficult to stop when it gets going. This power, combined with its Dark and Flying STAB combination, allows Galarian Moltres to tear through defensive staples such as Aegislash, Slowking, and Amoonguss. Sitrus Berry is used as the held item to allow Galarian Moltres to proc multiple Berserk boosts. Galarian Moltres can be used on all kinds of offensive teams, from hyper offense to bulky offense, due to its offensive prowess and versatility. Excadrill makes a great partner, as it sets Stealth Rock to wear down foes and deal with Rock-types like Nihilego and Diancie. Chansey is another Pokemon that Galarian Moltres struggles to break through, so Cobalion and Thundurus-T are great to wear it down. Galarian Moltres is also very vulnerable to super effective priority attacks from foes such as Mamoswine and Lycanroc-D, so Pokemon that can deal with these two, such as Skarmory, Aegislash, and Slowking, are highly valued as partners.
