Role Justification: Alright, here's my attempt at a concept that people have said would be a bad idea in this meta but I'm gonna throw my hat into the ring. The main thing that should set this Bug-type apart from other subs are a couple of things. For one, it actually has a good high BP STAB move in the form of Meghorn, something that lots of Bugs relegate to something like Leech Life or... Lunge, which are decent but on an attacking type with so many resists like Bug that's just not gonna cut it. The next is a good secondary type. You can't really go wrong with Ground alongside Bug. It covers Fire-types, Steel-types, and Poison-types primarily, while Herascor also has Stone Edge as coverage that hits every Flying-type that is immune or resists Herascor's dual STAB. Next Herascor actually has some very nice utility. Knock Off, reliable recovery, hazard setting, setup, hazard removal, and even pivoting. This, alongside Herascor's decent bulk and stat distribution makes it primed to make use of its traits to fulfill a versatile amont of roles on a team. The last thing however that completes the mon is its ability, which gives Herascor some much needed longevity for an offensive mon while also giving it some potential wallbreaking capabilities too.

Now you might be thinking wow this mon looks very strong, in fact it almost doesn't look balanced. And to that I say: At the end of the day this is still a Bug-type we're talking about. Lots of 4x resists in the meta, lots of jank that can simply bypass Herascor's progress, fast special attackers (of which we have plenty) that easily revengekill Herascor, and most mons requiring Herascor to run Stone Edge to hit them, which consumes a moveslot (tho 3 Attacks + Roost actually sounds like a funky set so this isn't as much of a problem I feel).

Honestly I just took this set from Gliscor, so I honestly don't know about the EVs, but I think Herascor can still viably run a utility set. You don't need to invest that much into attack for it to still hit decently hard so you can dedicate it as a surprisingly hard to kill utility mon that can compress a lot of roles on a team given its movepool.

tbh I'm pretty sure an SD set works for Herascor. I'm not entirely sure on the set itself, but given Flame Orb augments its survivability and it can break right from the get go, I think this works. Herascor can be a very dangerous wincon under the right conditions and can be a dangerous threat against a lot of teams.

I'm almost certain you can also run another set with a different item and bait out a status move like boss, like HDB Heracross does, but I'm not sure how effective that would be. Still tho Herascor's sets even with just the ones I just gave are fairly flexible and you can still slot in a few moves depending on what your team is looking for.

Its offensive movepool is underwhelming in some places but the unique set of tools it has gives it a unique place. Sun but no sun.

Yanmega also gives it back some utility Landorus-T lost this gen, such as Defog. The defensive typing probably isn’t good enough for full defensive sets, but it could run offensive utility leaving room for options such as Stealth Rock, Defog, or U-Turn. It also has reliable recovery now. However, its typing is not the greatest, having several common weaknesses. Tinted Lens helps a lot offensively but its still walled by Iron Meta.

Role Justification: It’s a Quiver Dance sweeper. Surprised we don’t have one of those yet. Its SpA and offensive typing make it a pretty good one. Despite its awful defensive typing, its ability makes set-up a lot easier than it would normally be. At +1 speed, Frosphox outspeeds the entire unboosted metagame outside of a few scarfers. However, its typing still forces it to run boots and gives it terribly common weaknesses. Its terrible physical bulk does nothing to help this. Despite its STAB moves hitting a lot of mons super-effectively, both Fire and Water types resist them, with mons like Florgerouge and Garpyuku walling it. It can run Giga Drain, but that still leaves it walled by Fires, with only Shadow Ball being able to hit both neutrally.

With Calm Mind, it can even run sweeping sets. Its above-average SpA, Speed, and special bulk allow it to do all of these roles very well. However, its STABs have poor synergy, being walled by both Steels and Poisons, especially hurting Calm Mind sets, forcing Fire coverage to be fit in. Its stats aren’t especially impressive, so it’s not too difficult to outspeed and break past, or wall its attacks.

However, being weak to Rocks is disappointing for a wall, and it does have some irritating weaknesses.

Role Justification: Mold breaker bulletpunch hell yeah!!! Mimic is as broke as ever, and it has a counter: mold breaker bullet punch goes through Disguise and just zoinks it. Unfortunately, no mons existed with this form of sauce- until now. It basically just does Scizor things but as a Dragon as well. Pretty cool, since Scizor is pretty cool. It's also somewhat bulkier than base Scizor, and has Druddigon's honestly really wide movepool (including the goat Glare)

It's also not too passive as a hazard setter, forcing out other hazard control mons like :Iron Treads::Skeledirge:, :Starmie::Tangrowth:, :Cresselia::Cinderace:, :Decidueye-Hisui::Rhyperior: and :Garganacl::Dhelmise:, even keeping momentum on forced switches with U-Turn.

It's held back by having slightly lacking bulk, a speed tier quite below average even for slow mons in the meta, Knock Off always keeping its full power out of its ability preserving its item, lacking the moveslots to run everything it'd want, and being x4 weak to Freeze-Dry in a meta where it's quite prevalent is also worth mentioning.

Intended Role: Set-Up Sweeper
Role Justification: With a solid Speed tier at 107 and special bulk that facilitates setup, Hoop Tail is intended to be able to get either CM or Plot up and start threatening opponents. While its stabs are fairly middling, you can get through most of the meta with Psychic/Dazzling/Fire Blast, with other options such as Focus Blast, Shadow Ball and Energy Ball if you want to hit specific targets. Its Speed being on the upper end of the meta also allows it to run utilitymoves such as Taunt and Encore. It can attempt to run similar sets to Scream Tail's bulkier ones as well, with roughly the same Sp Def and now access to Knock Off. We also have remarkably few offensive Psychic options and I think this can somewhat help with that.

It is a bit of a jack of all trades master of none, but I believe it can bring something worthy to the meta.

Does cost a Mega slot for a defensive mon but I think it can stand against out other Mega options fairly nicely.

It not being always active and having far less spammable STABs limit how scary Chi-Rex can be but its still a fearsome menace.

Role Justification: I believe this Pokémon to be a great additional force to the metagame, since it condenses so many potential roles thanks to its great movepool and flexible statline. 109 in our current meta is really great for a Choice Scarf user, since ot allows yiu to get a jump on the 110 speed tier and creeps the vast majority of foes including the likes of Toedeleki. Outside of that, Boots offensive utility sets and potential wallbreaking with Swords Dance are all options as well. It creeps Zoink so running it doesn't feel like a liability while its crept by the Ghost to encourage Scarf popularity.

Role Justification: Hatterworm is on two sides of the hazard game. It sets Spikes snd Stealth Rock relatively well, and prevents said hazards with scary efficiency. Steel Psychic is an underrated defensive typing, and with Ground eliminated as a factor may prove to be quite the annoyance for many a metagame threat to handle. It has a decent matchup versus many hazard setters, while having a bad one versus some others. Thankfully, the prominence of its other weaknesses (Fire, Dark and Ghost) and it's lack of reliable recovery helps keep it in check.

Furthermore, Glalamence can utilize either of its available Mega Evolutions to excellent effect, as both contribute a meaningful speed increase and allow Glalamence to bolster the power of its STAB attacks.

Base's offensive output is identical to Diggersby's while also bypassing both abilities and defensive stat boosts, which is pretty fun, but like Diggersby, I think it'll be niche. The real star of the show here is the mega, modelled very directly off of one of Joltemons' most infamous threats. It's difficult to bring in, but support it well and it can generate ridiculous amounts of pressure and momentum, forcing switches and capitalizing on them with ease. It's certainly not unwallable; Amphamence, Meta, Tornado, defensive Rotoghold or Necrotik, and even Rhytrix can all come in on its dual-STAB with ease, but with Knock Off chunking or crippling the majority of that list, it'll definitely leave a mark if played well.

The ability of this fusion is nonfunctional. Pressure activates while being targeted by an opponent's move, and you cannot attack while being hit by a move because by the time you move the opponent's move will have ended.


Clangorous Soul and recovery make for a very dangerous combination. Removing the boosting ability would help, but changing the Poison type to Grass would help.

The combination of bulk, typing, and Magic Bounce make this too potent of a defensive pick. Change one of bulk, typing or ability.

The concern is not the Psychic-type moves, but the Flying-type ones, as they are prioritized by Gale Wings and can be boosted by Tinted Lens. Please remove one of these components.

The defensive typing, added immunity, and good stats all around make this a very dangerous fusion. I would change the typing (preferably not to Ghost/Steel).

Intrepid Sword is a very strong ability on this. Please find a way to remove it.

The ability to fire off Scalds with a 60% chance to burn is very obnoxious. Unfortunately, I do not think this can pass without removing the effects of Serene Grace.

Guts + Poison Heal on something with these offenses make this a very oppressive offensive fusion. Please remove one of the ability components. EDIT: or make it slower ig lmao

The combination of an unconditional Speed Protosynthesis boost and boosted Hydro Steam make this too strong offensively. Lowering the stats would help considerably.

The Pokemon is fine, but the healing should be 1/16th instead of 1/8th to match the healing of Ice Body.

With this slate complete, Fusion Evolution will go on a break for an indefinite time. As many of you may know, DragonHeaven is currently going through an update, and new mons cannot be added until that is complete. Council believes it is best to wait until slates 8 and 9 are playable before we can move forwards. The current plan is to finish the mod on Slate 11, but we may adjust that if we see the need for more slates. Until then, discuss the current winners.​

posting here for once to make sure i have all my thoughts in order. wow reacts only

:druddigon::scizor: - kneejerk reaction was this mon is dumb and doesn’t answer the mimic issue at all. after some thought, this is just scizor. bulk is solid and offensive sets will probably work well enough (especially if this gets scale shot), but mimic is still broken so don’t kid yourself.
:druddigon::scizor-mega: - pretty cool honestly. does offensive sets even better than base at the expense of no item slot. likely both of these end up being mid-tier though

:great tusk::kleavor: - very cool mon, voted for it myself. slots well into the current scarf meta and threatens a lot of the speedsters while still making progress into walls either by setting rocks or uturning out.

:scream tail::cramorant: - worst winner by far, not necessarily competitively but moreso conceptually. offenses are horrifically low, so this thing is forced to spam surf if it wants to make any progress whatsoever. seems either doomed to mediocrity or to spend one week being really annoying before being nerfed and then being doomed to mediocrity.

:chi-yu::clodsire: - pretty cool guy. does fatbreaking things as well as walling things, just a generally respectable mon.

:mawile::alakazam: - shitmon. idk what yall saw in this but that bulk is not it. midspeed psychic that can’t switch into anything at all and also doesn’t even have particularly impressive power, what with no fairy move and mediocre coverage.
:mawile-mega::alakazam: - the best of this mon’s forms currently. still suffers from how awful both its STABs and base form are, but at least this one potentially sees usage,
:mawile::alakazam-mega: - again, the bulk is just not it. not to mention that speed tier still leaves it under a lot of our most common speedsters and scarfers (while also being weak to the new most common priority), making it so easy to revenge it almost isn’t funny. possibly usable since our special Psychics are ass, but mega competition is strong enough that i doubt it
