Cresceidon,
the Ocean Pokemon

Scarlet: Cresceidon was considered a fable for centuries, only described in sea chanties and illustrated on the open waters of old sea maps.

Violet:
Its shimmering body courses with the power of the ocean. A single Cresceidon creates waves strong enough to topple an Indian elephant.

Cresceidon
, the Shelter Wave Pokemon

Scarlet: Despite their daunting appearance, Cresceidon care deeply about people and Pokemon. They shield the weak from threats like Gyarados and Arghonaut.

Violet: Oceanographers have correlated the moon's phases with Cresceidon sightings. On the night of a full moon, these Pokemon gather to bask in starlight.

Cresceidon,
the Wave Caller Pokemon
Scarlet: It is said to be able to create massive tsunamis by using the horn on its head and it's movement.
Violet: Cresceidon is known to be a gentle Pokemon, however, if it is threatened it will summon massive waves to protect itself. These waves can cause burns that can only be cured by cold water.

WIP

Cresceidon
, the Pelagic Pokémon

Scarlet: Its mood is quite unpredictable, it can change from serene to ferocious in a matter of seconds.

Violet: Nobody knows where it disappears to during the new moon. Rapidash and Mudsdale are mesmerized in its presence.

WIP

Cresceidon
, the Sea Titan Pokémon

Scarlet: This gentle giant rises from the depths at night to gaze at the sky. Kind-hearted as it is, it may accidentally cause destruction when close to shore.

Violet: As it swims, its viscous body picks up salt and debris from the surrounding water. Getting swept up by it can be more dangerous than one would expect.

Cresceidon, the Tidal Pokémon

Scarlet: One fateful night on a full moon, an ocean liner sank into the ocean, drowning all of its passengers. The moon shed a tear which fell into the ocean and became Cresceidon.
Violet: It manipulates ocean waves to construct a body. The moon-shaped crown on the crest of its largest wave is actually the true form of this Pokémon.

Cresceidon
, the Great Wave Pokémon

Scarlet: At night it rises out of the ocean and rides atop the water to bask in the energizing light of the full moon.

Violet: Cresceidon tasks smaller Pokémon to rid its skin of pests. Sailors often tell florid stories of fish surfing on the open ocean when they witness this.

Cresceidon, the Great Wave Pokémon

Scarlet: It spends the day flat on the ocean surface, invisible from view. Only when the moon appears in the sky will this Pokémon rise.

Violet: It will guide lost voyagers through its territory, so long as they are respectful. Sailors who pollute its waters are never seen again.

Cresceidon,
the Sea Guardian Pokémon

Scarlet: Folktales speak of this Pokémon washing shipwrecked sailors ashore, while also pulling dangerous predators like Gyarados back into the sea.

Violet: Believed to be born when a crescent moon cast its light on a shimmery sea. Nighttime surfers wade out to sea in hopes of riding on Cresceidon's back!

WIP

Cresceidon
, the Tidal Wave Pokémon

Scarlet: Cresceidon only appears on full moon nights during high tide. Painters will flock to beaches in hopes of capturing this Pokémon's magnificence on canvas.

Violet: The scales on Cresceidon's back are incredibly tough and sharp enough to slice open a Tyranitar's hand. Studies show that it shares a common ancestor with Milotic.

Scarlet Dex entry semi references The Great Wave Off Kanagawa, while Violet Dex entry explains both Multiscale and Rough Skin while providing some insight into Cresceidon's biology. I think it would be more interesting if it was a very big and uncannily wave shaped fish instead of an actual sentient wave.

Cresceidon
, the Rogue Wave Pokemon

Scarlet: One stormy night, a tiny boat found itself in the shadow of a raging Cresceidon. Upon being seen, it vanished beneath the waves and the sea calmed.

Violet: It creates brutal waves that can tear an aircraft carrier to shreds. Large ships must avoid its territory, so it has become a very rare sight.

Decided to make some different entries. A rogue wave is what the original woodblock print is likely based off: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rogue_wave
And I figured it could be cool to make entries that captures its relationships with seafarers rather than making it a tsunami.

Cresceidon,
the Sea Guardian Pokémon

Scarlet: Folktales speak of this Pokémon washing shipwrecked sailors ashore, while also pulling dangerous predators like Gyarados back into the sea.

Violet: A Kitakami legend tells of two starcrossed lovers who made a wish to be reunited when the waves reached the moon. Thus this Pokémon was born.

Reworked the Violet entry. Still trying to figure out how to phrase it better so it's more than its premise. We'll see.

Cresceidon
the Gentle giant Pokemon

Scarlet: despite its will to help sailors, it's large size means it can accidentally cause serious injuries.

Violet: this elusive creature is one that was once thought to be a myth in fact is just incredibly rare.

Cresceidon
, the Unyielding Pokemon

Scarlet: The crescent on its head glows with intense energy every full moon. Crescidon uses this power to fight off predators lured in by the intense shine.

Violet: Crescidon roams in tidal pools, devouring small Pokemon who approach. Its large size makes it a target to fishers, however, and it is now extremely rare.

Cresceidon
, the Tidal Pokémon

Scarlet: This Pokémon has long been revered by sailors for its ability to control the sea's waves. Many say treating them well is needed for a safe voyage.

Violet: Cresceidon's body subtly glows just before high tide. Pokémon professors have used this knowledge to help predict the weather.

Cresceidon
, the Sea Titan Pokémon

Scarlet: This gentle giant rises from the depths to gaze at the night sky. It has a friendly nature, but may inadvertently cause destruction when close to shore.

Violet: As it swims, its viscous body picks up salt and debris from the water. Getting accidentally swept up in it can be more dangerous than one would expect.

Cresceidon,
the Sea Guardian Pokémon

Scarlet: Folktales speak of this Pokémon washing shipwrecked sailors ashore, while also pulling dangerous predators like Gyarados back into the sea.

Violet: Said to be born from the last wishes of people who were lost at sea. It reaches incredible heights as if to deliver those wishes to the stars.

The Tanabata one seems to be better received. I'm tweaking the Violet entry to make it less specific to a person in a legend.

Final Submission

Cresceidon,
the Night Light Pokémon

Scarlet: The melodic calls of a Cresceidon are beautiful to hear and have a therapeutic effect, lulling many who hear it into a deep slumber.

Violet: These large Pokémon are impossibly soft to the touch, making it no surprise that many sea faring Pokémon will rest on their backs after a long day.

Final Submission

Cresceidon
, the Genius Loci Pokemon

Scarlet: Said to be the embodiment of ocean currents, Cresceidon's power and temper fluctuate depending on the lunar phase, becoming erratic during a blue moon.

Violet: Cresceidon can convert any liquid it touches into more of itself. When its crescent horn glows, illusions of drowning loved ones will appear inside it.

Final Submission

Cresceidon,
the Friendly Wave Pokémon

Scarlet: Acidification has made its scales brittle and rough. These days, Cresceidon struggle to draw strength from the moon due to nighttime light pollution.

Violet: Ocean microplastics have reduced Cresceidon lifespans by three-quarters. Cancer incidence has skyrocketed among the species over the past ten years.
