Moves
========
Calm Mind and Roost allow Oricorio-E to be a threat to bulkier teams and beat Pokemon it can't otherwise, like Audino and Mudsdale. Roost is also useful to consistently check prominent threats like Lilligant and Gurdurr. Revelation Dance is a weaker but more consistent STAB attack than Hurricane, hitting the likes of Regirock and specially defensive Alolan Sandslash. Taunt can be used if you want Oricorio-E to fulfill a stallbreaker role, beating the likes of Audino, specially defensive Articuno, and Clefairy while also preventing status. Hidden Power Ground is a decent option over Revelation Dance to get past common roadblocks to Oricorio-E like Togedemaru, Aggron, and Lanturn.
Set Details
========
Flyinium Z lets Oricorio-E nuke Pokemon like Audino and Mudsdale while ignoring Hurricane's poor accuracy. It also reduces damage taken from Knock Off, which can prove to be useful against users like Gurdurr. Alternatively, Rocky Helmet can be used if you already have a Z-Move user, as it punishes physical attacks like U-turn from Togedemaru and Knock Off from Gurdurr and Audino. If running Hidden Power Ground, Oricorio-E can run an alternative spread of 168 HP / 88 SpA / 252 Spe to guarantee an OHKO on Aggron while still retaining decent bulk.
Usage Tips
========
Due to its typing and decent bulk, Oricorio-E can check many prevalent Pokemon like Oricorio-G and Hitmonchan and either use them as setup fodder or simply attack depending on the situation. It is better to set up if your opponent only has shaky checks like Kabutops and Aggron that can't come in directly, because this applies heavy pressure on your opponent. However, if your opponent has sturdy checks like Togedemaru and Eelektross, it is wiser to fire off attacks early- and mid-game to weaken them, allowing you to get past them once boosted late-game. It is better to set up on a forced or predicted switch and against bulky Pokemon that can't touch Oricorio-E like non-Toxic Audino. However, if running Taunt, it has the ability to set up on Pokemon that often pack Toxic like non-Rock Slide Mudsdale, Clefairy, and Tangela. Since Oricorio-E is required to stay healty to consistently check dangerous threats, it should use Roost on forced or predicted switches. It can also use Roost when having a pure Electric typing is advantageous, such as against the likes of Eelektross, Lanturn and Articuno, which can't hit it particularly hard once it loses its Flying typing. You need to be wary of possible coverage options that can heavily chunk or outright KO Oricorio-E, like Breakneck Blitz from Lilligant; scout for them with a double switch. Try to avoid status, particularly poison, since it can greatly hinder Oricorio-E's defensive capabilities and chance of sweeping late-game. Not revealing your last moveslot early in the game can potentially catch your opponent off guard.
Team Options
========
Oricorio-E appreciates Spikes and Stealth Rock support putting more pressure on the opponent's team and weakening checks, like Lanturn and Togedemaru. Froslass and Qwilfish are notable partners because they fulfill the Spikes setter role while also acting as secondary checks to Fighting-types. Regirock is a solid option, setting Stealth Rock while Oricorio-E takes advantage of Fighting- and Grass-types that pressure it. Oricorio-E's weakness to Stealth Rock makes entry hazard removers greatly appreciated. A notable partner is specially offensive Skuntank, as it threatens most Stealth Rock setters and can weaken Aggron. Lurantis makes for a decent option too, as it takes care of Lanturn and Regirock for Oricorio-E while Oricorio-E handles Flying-types like Scyther. Mudsdale is a fantastic partner, taking care of Rock-types and providing Stealth Rock support. Specially defensive Alolan Sandslash is an amazing partner, as it can check Aurorus and Jynx as well as remove entry hazards. It can also deal with Hyper Beam + Normalium Z Lilligant, a set that Oricorio-E fails to beat. Since Oricorio-E doesn't hit particularly hard before it racks up boosts, wallbreakers are greatly appreciated to soften walls for Oricorio-E to sweep. Stoutland is an overall amazing partner, weakening Regirock and Mudsdale as well as heavily chunking Lanturn and Eelektross. Choice Specs Lilligant and Choice Specs Jellicent can also deal with or weaken Oricorio-E checks.
