In the past day, the TDs made a proposition

that would have allowed RBY to be able to gentlemen to bo3 if both players agreed to and have it enforced by the hosts. I think that we should let this extend to all tiers in SPL: If either player has concerns with burnout or time constraints, they can simply refuse the agreement. Most matches would still be the status quo bo1, but if for example, Le Don and Pideous are down to prep three teams and play three games, they should be able to. Bo3 is the default for individuals site wide because a single game often isn't enough to decide the better player in a game so volatile. Their decision would have to be finalized before the game as it was proposed for RBY. This would give the DPPers who sparked this whole discussion a way to bo3 in SPL while not alienating those who would sit out a full bo3 tournament due to time constraints. This proposal also addresses the issue of having to decide a voting pool for bo3 vs bo1.
P.S.: Bo3 should remain the default for RBY, if anything allow them to Bo1 or Bo5.
