:druddigon::scizor: - Its a scizor with Dragon Steel typing as well as good coverage and a great support move in Glare that scares away grounds. Should be really good in practice. Murdering Mimic through its ability is goated.
:druddigon::scizor-mega: - Just better Drud, looks very nice.

:great tusk::kleavor: - Quite literally the second bug type introduced in the entire mod, that's crazy. Anyways this mon looks like a fun scarfer, its Stone Axe is great coverage and Bug ground has always been a funky typing.

:scream tail::cramorant: - I think this has more merit that people really give it. Getting free proto boosts from attacking is great, and its defensive profile is distinct from other fairies (eg not being weak to ground like belli and rouge). Looks like a fine addition.

:chi-yu::clodsire: - Fat Deleter. Should really annoy stuff like our good friend Stargrowth but its real value I bet will come in eating up fairies not named Sandy Shocks (oh and the new guy ig).

:mawile::alakazam: - Its power is dissapointing but otherwise it looks like a decent base mons for whenever you already used the mega slot on your team. Hopefully we don't get an Alphamence situation part 2.
:mawile-mega::alakazam: - Slower but more powerful version of the mon. Its coverage is average but it should still hit decently high, shoutout to Zam's elemental punches coverage giving this mon options.
:mawile::alakazam-mega: - Admitedly this form is more underwhelming than the other mega, especially since its damage output is probably the same as Base with a life orb. Still its beauty relies on the opponent not knowing the form on preview, thus could in theory save to surprise opponents expecting mega x.

:druddigon::scizor: - Everyone likes this as an Iron Mimic answer, but in practice it's 2HKO'd by Earthquake, its priority is also kinda bad for the meta with how most fastmons resist Steel.
:druddigon::scizor-mega: - See above, this can still be viable as a wall, namely kinda filling the defensive roles :Brute Bonnet::Bronzong: pre-nerf had (let's face it, it was more viable before the type change, the council just didn't like a passive mon that still walled mons). Edit: Oh, it has no Roost, nah, it's going to kinda struggle.

:great tusk::kleavor: - A bit slow, but it gets the job done as a bulky mon that sets hazards, being a Ground that can force out the trending Grass-types is nice.

:scream tail::cramorant: - Weirdmon, feels very gimmicky, could have a niche as a SpD Water with Wish support.

:chi-yu::clodsire: - Funny fatmon, can spread burns with Lava Plume while also not being passive, being weak to Stealth Rock sucks, however.

:mawile::alakazam: - This is just Alakazam 2, and in general it's outclassed by its :Alakazam-Mega: forme, beyond stallbreaking roles, but stall kinda sucks right now ever since the :Iron Treads::Skeledirge: nerf.
:mawile-mega::alakazam: - Looks like a potent wallbreaker on paper, but in practice its STABs aren't too difficult to wall and doesn't have as much coverage one would think, its bulk is also still quite poor.
:mawile::alakazam-mega: - Adds variety to speed tiers, but is just a budget :Alakazam-Mega: with a Fairy typing, still more than viable with stuff like Nasty Plot and maybe copying with Trace stuff like Regen-based abilities. Protosynthesis and Quark Drive-based abilities being a trend in the meta don't do it many favors, however.

Been a while, eh? After being on hiatus for a while, we plan on returning with submissions sometime soon, but before that we do want to go through a different kind of discussion phase.

:Cramorant::Scream Tail: : Losing Scald is sad, but at least it doesn't feel like it's losing much when it tries to abuse its ability with Surf instead.

:Decidueye::Snorlax: : This thing is very passive with the removals even for stall, please buff it, maybe something like Overgrow + Thick Fat so it has Thick Fat effects (+ Grass "resist") and its Grass, Fire and Ice moves are boosted by x1.5, or some combination of the before-mentioned effects.

:Brambleghast::Mamoswine: : Honestly this thing was overrated, if anything I'd dare to say that it was aging poorly as time went on with Freeze-Dry no longer being that strong in the meta, losing Superpower does no favors and I could see this getting a buff at some point.

:Floatzel::Zeraora: :Samurott-Hisui::Grafaiai: : Flip Turn go brr, now Choice Band on either is legit.

:Iron Hands::Tornadus-Therian: : Knock Off is quite big here TBH, now it can properly do Torn-T things and minimize passivity even more.

:Arbok::Zarude: : Time will tell how well this ages, I still feel like its stats are a bit lacking for the meta.

:Fomantis::Varoom: : This thing is going to sweep teams that lack a :Rotom::Gholdengo:

:Lurantis::Revavroom: : This finally can do something to Steels at all, although its stats still limit what it can do, especially as it can't invest on all of its stats at once a la BH.

Iron Tornado (M) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Nanorepairs
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature

Now that Torn-T got Knock back, Iron Tornado's set diversity should increase drastically. Scarf always suffered from having exactly two clickable moves (U-Turn and CC), so access to Knock means the set can make relevant progress in the early stages of the game. Expect this mon to be splashed a whole lot more now that non-Booster sets can make progress more reliably.


Baxgeist-Large @ Leftovers
Ability: Frisk Exchange
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe

- Substitute / Earthquake

This mon is kind of weird now. Unlike base Baxcalibur, you can't really justify loaded dice, and other offensive items like Life Orb feel like a waste when the mon has 95/110/80 (!!!) bulk. Ergo, if you are going to go with SD+Scale, you should probably go for a bulkier substitute set to take advantage of stuff like choiced Tornado that will probably be on the uptick. Poltergeist got a bit worse now that Knock is everywhere, but Sneak+Scale Shot has absolutely terrible average damage output. So yeah idk a little awkward, DD Glaive Rush is probably the play still.

God bless gamefreak for at least giving us this back. Superpower+Spin out is a fun way to passively snowball, even if the PP scarcity will definitely make itself known sooner or later in grindier matches. Defog takes advantage of the fact that Rev is sneaky fat with its typing+(insanely cracked) ability, but leaves the set stone walled by Rotog. Knock fixes that, Parting Shot doesn't but is momentum, Toxic also doesn't but its a pretty rare move nowadays so maybe u can catch a Garp lacking or smth. But then again, Leaf Storm achieves that and then some. Also:

I am pleased to announce that after a long break, we are back! However, before beggining the next slate, we have an announcement:

Light Clay is now banned from this metagame.

Simply put, Screens makes Hyper Offense a very absurd playstyle with our roster and heavily diminishes most forms of counterplay against Hyper Offense. HO itself also keeps getting new tools in the metagame with each passing slate and has become too overwhelming. We figured a ban to Light Clay would help out in making this playstyle less oppressive. Now, with that out of the way...



:chi-yu:Slate 10 - Back With a Vengeance:clodsire:

As we are now a post-Teal Mask meta, new Pokémon become available candidates to be used in fusions: Okidogi, Munkidori, Fezandipiti, Poltchageist, Sinischa, Dipplin, Ursaluna-Bloodmoon and Ogerpon (More on the latter's forms in a bit). However, these are not yet implemented into the fusion tool (and neither are Wind Rider Shiftry or Competitive Empoleon, for that matter). As a reminder, despite currently lacking an evolution in-game, Dipplin can still use Eviolite, meaning you can fuse it with another NFE to get the item's bonus. As far as the metagame goes, yesterday's playtests indicate that Slate 9 didn't have that big of an impact on the previous metagame.

Though Slate 10 was originally planned to be the final slate, we believe we will need to keep going for a little longer in order to properly stablize the metagame.​



Now, please read below what we have decided for Ogerpon's mechanics

- To start with, you have to fuse with Teal Mask Ogerpon, doing the usual process for generating fusions
- Holding a mask will cause it to change form, having its ability replaced by Mold Breaker, Sturdy or Water Absorb and the Ogerpon type replaced by Fire, Rock or Water
- Lastly, Ogerpon fusions will be the only fusion allowed to terastalize. They will have their tera types locked to their respective Ogerpon forms and their abilities will be replaced by Embody Aspect



We can now beging the long-awaited Slate 10. This slate will run for a week, closing on October 8th. Enjoy!

Can completely blank veil teams by virtue of psychic fangs removing screens, although with recent removal of light clay it’s not as important.

Role Justification: Versatile regen mon that can pick and choose what it wishes to do with its balanced stats and wide movepool. Physical sets have access to Swords Dance and the strong Sacred Fire as its STAB, alongside a STAB U-turn and some good coverage in Earthquake. Sacred Fire in particular can very easily force progress, even if Yan-Mo-Oh isn't doing that much damage just purely off of that 50% burn chance, though it's lower PP means you have to be extra wise in choosing when you wish to use the attack. Special sets have the much weaker Calm Mind but can utilize better coverage in both Earth Power and Thunder that can go around the latter's accuracy problems with Compound Eyes. Additionally, Yan-Mo-Oh's unique defensive typing lets it be a decent switch-in with Regen, as it can come in well against the tier's Fighting-types, Grass-types, and Ice-types, such as the newly buffed Revarantis, as well as Primeleo. Lastly, Roost can allow it to spec into a more defensive build that utilizes it running perfect accuracy Will-O-Wisps and annoying the heck out of the tier's physical attackers.

Yan-Mo-Oh's biggest problem is it's typing, because although it is one of the better combinations for Bug-types, at the end of the day it is still a 4x weak Bug-type with a crippling weakness to Stealth Rock and practically required to run Heavy Duty Boots. This makes it especially vulnerable to Knock Off, which a lot of mons got after the Teal Mask DLC. Not only that but the mon's statspread, although good for allowing it to diversify the type of roles it wants on a team, leaves it unable to truly excel at anything, which means that it will sometimes feel as though the mon is either lacking in power, bulk, or speed, and unable to cross important benchmarks that other mons with their more specialized roles would usually be able to cross.

Rest are a mixed bag. Firekix Tera is potentially broken as shit but it's base is very pathetic once Rocks are up. Waterkix has the best dual STAB coverage and a useful enough ability to pull off utility, but Rocks weakness sucks. Its Tera is really good though if you like utility. Rockkix base is more or less outclassed and its Tera is genuinely worse Firekix but you can't win them all.
