UU UU Gligar (QC 1/1) (GP 1/1)

Felixx

I'm back.

Gligar @ Eviolite
Ability: Immunity
EVs: 252 HP / 156 Def / 100 SpD
Impish Nature
- Earthquake
- Roost
- Defog / Stealth Rock
- U-turn / Toxic / Knock Off

Gligar's decent bulk becomes massive after an Eviolite boost, and access to Immunity and reliable recovery in Roost gives Gligar the ability to beat common entry hazard setters such as Mega Aggron and Klefki. It also readily handles Fighting-types like Cobalion and Terrakion, as the defense investment lets it live two Stone Edges from Choice Band Terrakion after Stealth Rock. Gligar can be either a defensive entry hazard remover or setter due to access to both Defog and Stealth Rock, giving it some versatility in the role it performs in a team. It's also an excellent pivot if it opts to run U-turn, letting in teammates such as Zeraora and Scizor to handle some of its checks like Slowbro and Mamoswine. Additionally, Gligar forms a frustrating defensive core with Empoleon, which deals with the likes of Primarina and Moltres. Gligar is rising to be a staple of UU, and could possibly join the tier in the near future, clearly making it a worthwhile pick!

Change 'Stealth Rockers' to 'Entry Hazard Setters' and replace the Mega Steelix example with Klefki, just so readers get a bit better of a feel for all the stuff it can Defog on (your listed examples are a little too similar as is anyway). I'd also find a way of breaking your first sentence into like two or three sentences, since right now it's reaaallly long and a bit of a run-on. Just sprinkle in a period or two where a sentence can naturally end. Only other thing I'd change is the "long way to go before becoming an UU staple" part of the last sentence since if we had regular tier shifts this past month Gligar would comfortably be UU. Saying something more along the lines of how it's rising to become a staple would probably be better there.

Great work! 1/1 when this is implemented :)
