[SET COMMENTS]
Having multiple ways to boost Speed, and holding a nearly unresisted STAB combination, Excadrill is a potent setup sweeper for Ground-type sand teams, abusing forced switches as Excadrill can bluff its Choice Band set. Corkscrew Crash lets Excadrill overwhelm multiple checks, at +0 OHKOing Tornadus-T, and at +2 Sinistcha, Mega Latias, Mega Sableye, and Mega Venusaur after Stealth Rock. Rapid Spin lets Excadrill compress utility by removing entry hazards for its team, while also raising its Speed, in turn also becoming a good move to use to finish foes off to make Excadrill more difficult to revenge kill. As Sand Rush demands a sand setter to shine, Excadrill appreciates Hippowdon to easily enable it. As Excadrill can struggle against Water-types immune to Ground such as Rotom-W and Pelipper, it appreciates Gastrodon and Clodsire as allies to pivot to, which in turn can support Excadrill by setting entry hazards or crippling such foes with status. Flying-types such as Mega Charizard Y, Zapdos, and Skarmory can also be problematic for Excadrill to deal with, checks such as Mega Garchomp and Mamoswine, are appreciated.

SD takes advantage of the knowledge of Exca usually being Choice Band, so more offensive types just go to an immunity and hope for the best [eg. Dragon would scout using Latis or Archa, you SD then you just pummel both]). Rapid Spin lets Excadrill compress utility by removing entry hazards for its team, while also raising its Speed, in turn also becoming a good move to use to finish foes off to make Excadrill more difficult to revenge kill (mention Steelium benchmarks, notably commiting murder to Sinistcha, M.Ven after SR, and Mega Latias [maybe some more, I dont remember who else as of now]). As Sand Rush demands a sand setter to shine, Excadrill appreciates Hippowdon to easily enable it. As Excadrill can struggle against Water-types immune to Ground such as Rotom-W and Pelipper, it appreciates Gastrodon and Clodsire as allies to pivot to, which in turn can support Excadrill by setting entry hazards or crippling such foes with status.
