As one of the most exciting drops from OU in October, the returning Slowking has reclaimed its previous spotlight as an incredible defensive pivot that checks a wide range of Pokemon like Excadrill, Celesteela, and Mienshao. Physically defensive Slowking with Colbur Berry can help limit entry opportunities for Conkeldurr, comfortably eating any attack from it and KOing back with Psychic with a small amount of chip damage, while also checking threats like Mamoswine and Swords Dance Excadrill. Colbur Berry has many more uses beyond Conkeldurr, however, letting it stay in on Krookodile and Hydreigon to more freely to attack or use Teleport, and giving it an extra buffer against foes like Mienshao and Lycanroc-D. Despite its Colbur Berry, teammates that can check Hydreigon and Zarude are essential, such as Mandibuzz and Skarmory, respectively. Skarmory can also help to check foes like Excadrill so that Slowking isn't overwhelmed, while Mandibuzz can reliably deal with Aegislash, which forces out Slowking. Offensive teammates such as Conkeldurr and Mienshao appreciate Slowking's Teleport support, threatening Slowking's switch-ins like Zarude and Hydreigon in exchange.

Physically defensive Slowking Colbur Berry sets have become very popular alongside the more specially defensive sets that were previously used to better check Latias, as they can greatly help limit the entry points of Conkeldurr and serves as a check to it, while improving Slowking's matchup versus threats like Mamoswine and Swords Dance Excadrill. I don't see much of a reason to be talking about the SpD set or Latias in this. The context you've mentioned it in also has nothing to do with what you're talking about. Colbur Berry has many more uses beyond this however, letting stay in on Krookodile and Hydreigon more freely to attack or Teleport, and giving an extra buffer against foes like Mienshao and Lycanroc-D. Reword this Colbur point to mention Conkeldurr first then lead into it also helping it potentially trade with X and Y. I'd mention why Psychic is the preferred option here as I'm sure most would expect the usual FS stuff. Despite it's Colbur Berry, teammates that can check Hydreigon and Zarude are essential, such as Mandibuzz and Skarmory respectively.
