Klefki's excellent defensive typing lets it act as a check to terrifying Pokemon like Dragalge, Gardevoir, and Goodra, and Spikes means that it can take advantage of the switches it forces against these Pokemon. Thunder Wave and Toxic make Klefki very difficult to switch into, as it can easily cripple common Pokemon like Arcanine and Golurk. These traits alongside its solid bulk make it one of the best Pokemon in RU. Dazzling Gleam is chosen as Klefki's attack because of its perfect accuracy and its ability to hit Bewear really hard, allowing Klefki to act as a solid check to it. Klefki can struggle with Steel-types like Bronzong and Steelix, so teammates that can pressure them such as Bewear and Passimian are helpful. Klefki also hates Galarian Slowbro, so checks like Dhelmise work well with Klefki. Toxicroak is a notable partner for its ability to pressure both Steel-types and Galarian Slowbro if it lacks a Psychic-type attack.
