[SET]
name: Magic Bounce Yveltal
move 1: Knock Off
move 2: Aromatherapy / Pursuit / Sucker Punch
move 3: Baton Pass / King's Shield
move 4: Recover / Wish
item: Shed Shell / Safety Goggles
ability: Magic Bounce
nature: Sassy / Careful
evs: 248 HP / 8 Def / 252 SpD
ivs: 0 Spe

Magic Bounce Yveltal uses its good typing and bulk allowing it to soft check foes like non-No Guard Mega Gengar and Mold Breaker Mega Latios, and its ability to effectively check Giratina and bounce back opposing entry hazards, Taunt, Will-O-Wisp, and Parting Shot. Knock Off hits Pokemon like Giratina. Aromatherapy can be used to free a moveslot on passive Wonder Guard teammates, and Yveltal is an effective user of the move because of blocking Taunt via Magic Bounce. Pursuit traps Ghost-type Pokemon, particularly Mega Gengar. Sucker Punch can be used to pick off foes like Mold Breaker Mega Gengar, Mold Breaker Mega Latios after a Shell Smash, and chipped No Guard Deoxys-S. Baton Pass and Wish can be used in conjunction with 0 Speed IVs and a Sassy to slowly pivot to a teammate for them to safely receive Wish. King's Shield allows Yveltal to scout Choice item Mold Breaker users and weaken most offensive Shadow Tag users, like V-create Primal Groudon and Low Kick Mega Mewtwo X, though it leaves Yveltal vulnerable to Trick. Shed Shell allows Yveltal to escape Shadow Tag, users like Primal Groudon and Mega Mewtwo X. However, Safety Goggles can also be used to better check Mold Breaker Spore users vulnerable to Yveltal, such as Mega Gengar. Run a Careful nature of 31 Speed IVs if Yveltal is not running Baton Pass.

Magic Bounce Yveltal can be used on stall or bulky balance teams that struggle with Mold Breaker Mega Gengar and Mega Latios and need a status blocker for longevity. Yveltal also functions well on already well-rounded teams, as Yveltal is passive and only soft checks most of what it switches into. Yveltal has great defensive synergy with Prankster Giratina, as Yveltal checks non-No Guard Mega Gengar and Mold Breaker Mega Latios for it. Mold Breaker teammates, like Mega Latios and Primal Groudon, appreciate Yveltal's ability to slowly pivot to them with Baton Pass and block status moves, like Spore and Will-O-Wisp from Prankster foes, like Giratina. Mega Latios in particular can also be Imposter-proofed to a degree by Safety Goggles Yveltal. Substitute + Baton Pass users, like Xerneas and Wonder Guard Mega Gengar, appreciate Yveltal's ability to block Taunt; Yveltal can also Imposter-proof Mega Gengar in particular effectively because of the former bouncing back Toxic Spikes. Yveltal appreciates Wonder Guard users, like Xerneas and Slaking, to switch into No Guard, Huge Power, and Protean users, which otherwise break through it.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

Alternative status moves, such as Spore and Encore, are options for Prankster Yveltal. Beat Up is another option on most Yveltal sets that can hit past Substitute and isn't detrimental into King's Shield, but it is more unreliable than Knock Off because of the reliance on its team members. Foul Play can be used over Pursuit on Magic Bounce and Prankster sets to better threaten offensive foes such as Mega Latios and Mega Mewtwo X; although, Prankster Giratina comfortably walls Yveltal if it is its strongest Dark-type STAB move and bulkier foes, like Primal Groudon and Xerneas, need to have used Shell Smash for it to deal significant damage. King Shield in conjunction with Wish can be used to help both Yveltal and its teammates recover and help against physical Shadow Tag users; however, this takes up two moveslots. An alternative stat spread of 248 HP / 108 Def / 152 SpD with a Sassy or Careful nature can be run on Yveltal with an ability like Magic Bounce, Prankster, or Poison Heal to live attacks from Thousand Arrows from +2 Primal Groudon and Dragon Ascent from Choice Band Mega Rayquaza. Coverage moves such as Close Combat, Sacred Fire or Gear Grind can be used on Huge Power sets to hit Wonder Guard Pokemon such as Slaking, Mega Scizor or Xerneas. RegenVest and Gale Wings Yveltal can more easily sponge special hits and provide priority that doesn't trigger King's Shield detrimental effect respectively.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Strong Priority Users**: Pixilate and Refrigerate, users such as Mega Diancie and Kyurem-B OHKO Yveltal with Extreme Speed, and Mega Rayquaza 2HKOes it with the same move. Because they force Yveltal out, it is also unable to block entry hazards, which are frequently used on -ate users. Aditionally, Huge Power Regigigas and Gale Wings Mega Rayquaza threaten Yveltal, the former especially if Yveltal forgoes King's Shield. However, Yveltal can usually comfortably switch out of these because of it's resistance to Pursuit

**No Guard Users**: No Guards users can threaten Yveltal with Sheer Cold. Additionally, most No Guard users live a Sucker Punch from non-Huge Power Yveltal sets.

**Wonder Guard Sweepers**: Wonder Guard sweepers, such as Mega Gardevoir and Xerneas, can threaten most Yveltal sets because of their immunity to Yveltal's attacks.

**Strong Coverage**: Huge Power Pokemon, such as Mega Mewtwo X, can OHKO Yveltal with super effective attacks, especially if it does not run King's Shield. Protean Mega Latios and Mega Mewtwo Y can also threaten Yveltal with coverage like Moonblast and Freeze-Dry. However, these are vulnerable to Huge Power Yveltal's Sucker Punch, though Yveltal needs Dread Plate to OHKO uninvested Mega Mewtwo X with it.

**Wonder Guard**: Wonder Guard users not weak to Dark- or Flying moves are free to do whatever they wish against most Yveltal sets. However, Mold Breaker Yveltal can still remove items with Knock Off and Huge Power Yveltal can threaten non-Ghost Wonder Guard users initially neutral to Dark with Trick-or-Treat into Knock Off or Pursuit.

**Mold Breaker Users**: Setup Mold Breaker users can put Yveltal to sleep with Dark Void to gain turns to set up with Shell Smash. Choice item Mold Breaker users are also a threat to Yveltal, but they dislike talking Sucker Punch from Huge Power Yveltal variants as well as Prankster Yveltal carrying Destiny Bond or Spore.

**Shadow Tag**: If Yveltal does not run Shed Shell, it is susceptible to being trapped and KOed by attackers like Primal Groudon and Mega Mewtwo X, or it can be taken out by Encore + Perish Song users, like Lugia and Arceus.

**Trick**: Being given a Choice item via Trick severely debilitates Magic Bounce Yveltal, as this forces it to either use a recovery move and risk being too passive or respond with a different move and risk being worn down and subsequently KOed.

Yveltal is a great Magic Bounce user due to a good defensive typing in Dark/Flying, decent defenses and good HP. What does Magic Bounce does for Yveltal? I would describe how it checks Mold Breaker Mega Gengar and Prankster Giratina, as well as how it redirects opponent's Parting Shots for momentum. Explain what it's great AT rather than just calling it great Knock Off is Yveltal's main STAB and used to mitigate it's passivity, while also removing remove enemy items. Pursuit can be used to trap Ghost-type Pokemon like Giratina and Mega Gengar, as well as hitting physically frail Pokemon like Blissey for high damage. Including Blissey here seems weird since it most often runs Wonder Guard, but it works I guess against passive Prankster Pokemon such as Mega Metagross or Blissey that try to escape while Sucker Punch can be used to pick off weakened foes like Huge Power Mega Mewtwo X and No Guard Deoxys-S. Just being a little more specific against Huge Power or Choice Scarf No Guard Pokemon like Deoxys. Aromatherapy is a third option that can be used on Yveltal to free a moveslot on instead of passive Wonder Guards due to it's ability to block Taunt. Defog can be used to clear away hazards, as Yveltal has an immunity to Spikes and Toxic Spikes, and use Recover to heal up damage from Stealth Rock. Wish and Baton Pass can be used in conjunction with 0 Speed IVs to slow pivot. A specially defensive spread is used to tank Moonblast or Freeze Dry from unboosted Xerneas along with Pixilate Boomburst from Mega Diancie. it lives pixiboomburst? lol Shed Shell is the main item as it helps escape Shadow Tag users like Primal Groudon or and Mega Mewtwo X, however Safety Goggles can be used to prevent Mold Breaker Spore users such as Mega Gengar or Primal Groudon from putting it to sleep, especially the former as Yveltal can threaten it with Knock Off, Sucker Punch or and Pursuit. The natures are used to boost Yveltal's ability to take hits from specially attackers and are used with 31 Speed IVs or 0 Speed IVs. Mention why minimum speed would be desirable. Also mention Wonder Guard Beedrill somewhere in here, as Magic Bounce Yveltal's good matchup into it is worth mentioning

Magic Bounce Yveltal can be used on stall or balance teams which need a status blocker to freely set-up. Teammates like Mega Gengar and Primal Groudon appreciate Yveltal's ability to block Spore from the likes of Giratina. Subpassers like Xerneas appreciate Yveltal's ability to block Taunt.
Yveltal struggles basically against anything that's not passive like No Guard and -Ate users, so Wonder Guard users such as Xerneas and Slaking are key assets with Yveltal. Mention how it pairs well with Mold Breaker sweepers thanks to its ability to bounce the opponent's parting shot for its own momentum.

Offensive Status moves such as Spore and Encore are options for Yveltal to run if it doesn't want to be set-up fodder from Wonder Guard users like Xerneas and Mold Breaker users like Primal Groudon, however it is extremely difficult to improof as two Magic Bounce Pokemon is not ideal on a single team. What does two magic bounce users have to do with running spore and encore? Also, mention Beat Up over Knock Off to break subs. Foul Play to more effectively mitigate opposing setup, Taunt to pressure Wonder Guard users, King's Shield to take advantage of its own Wish recovery more effectively while helping it match up better against physical Shadow Tag users, and Gastro Acid to trap some Wonder Guard users with Pursuit.

Checks and Counters
===================
make sure to add asterisks around the name of the check like **this**
-Ate users: FakeSpeed users such as Kyurem-Black and Mega Diancie are huge threats to Yveltal as it outspeeds it with priority and OHKOes with their super-effective moves

No Guard Users: No Guards users such as Deoxys-Speed, it's just Deoxys-S especially Focus Sash variants, can take a hit from a Sucker Punch and knock out Yveltal with a Sheer Cold

Fairy Types: Wonder Guard Fairy types such as Xerneas and Mega Gardevoir can threaten Yveltal due to their immunity of Yveltal's attacks and its super effective STAB attacks

mention Mold Breaker sweepers, Huge Power users, Shadow Tag trappers, and Wonder Guard users in general as checks.

A lot of the changes were either never implemented, or they were done so pretty weirdly. I should have been more straightforward with my suggestions, sorry.

Yveltal is a great Magic Bounce user due to a good defensive typing in Dark/Flying, decent defenses and good HP. Magic Bounce helps Yveltal as it checks Giratina, blocking moves like Spore while bouncing Parting Shot to gain momentum for its teammmates. Yveltal uses its great typing, good bulk, decent attack, and Magic Bounce to check important foes like Mega Gengar, Giratina, and Mega Beedrill while bouncing opposing Parting Shots for momentum. Knock Off is Yveltal's main STAB used to remove enemy's items. Pursuit can be used to trap Ghost-type Pokemon such as Giratina and Mega Gengar, as well as hitting physically frail Pokemon like Blissey. Sucker Punch can be used against to pick off weakned foes like Huge Power Mega Mewtwo X and No Guard Doexys-S. Aromatherapy is a third option that can be used on Yveltal to free a moveslot on passive Wonder Guards due to it's ability to block Taunt. Defog can be used to clear away hazards, as Yveltal has an immunity to Spikes and Toxic Spikes. and use Recover to heal up damage from Stealth Rock. The natures are used to boost Yveltal's ability to take hits from specially attackers and are used with 31 Speed IVs or 0 Speed IVs. don't need to explain EV/IV spreads and natures if its just max max. 0 Spped IVs work well with Baton Pass into passive Wonder Guards such as Mega Beedrill as it can slow pivot from them to bring a teammate safely. Minimum speed is used in conjunction with Baton Pass to more safely bring in teammates by underspeeding the opponent to let Yveltal take the incoming hit.

Magic Bounce Yveltal can be used on stall or balance teams which need a status blocker to freely set-up for longevity. Teammates like Mega Gengar and Primal Groudon appreciate Yveltal's ability to block status moves like Spore and Will-O-Wisp from Prankster opponents like Giratina. Spore from the likes of Giratina. Subpassers Substitute + Baton Pass users read GP standards if possible like Xerneas appreciate Yveltal's ability to block Taunt. Yveltal struggles basically against anything that's not passive like No Guard and -Ate users, so Wonder Guard users such as Xerneas and Slaking are key assets with Yveltal. this is misleading, and borderline incorrect Yveltal appreciates Wonder Guard users like Xerneas and Slaking to compensate for its weaknesses. Due to Yveltal's ability to block and redirect Parting Shot, Mold Breaker Pokemon such as Mega Gengar appreciate Yveltal's ability to bring them in safely.

Offensive status moves are not "offensive" Status moves such as Spore and Encore are options for Yveltal to run prevent setup if it doesn't want to be set-up fodder from Wonder Guard users like Xerneas and Mold Breaker users like Primal Groudon, however it is extremely difficult to improof. Beat Up is another option that can break Substitute, but is more unreliable than Knock Off has low power and extremely team-reliant. Foul Play can be used to attack sweepers such as Primal Groudon and Mega Mewtwo X, but fails to threaten physcially weak Pokemon such as Blissey and Dark resists. King Shield in conjunction with Wish can be used to help Yveltal's recovery and against physical Shadow Tag users, however Recover is a better option in general as it only takes up one moveslot in comparison to Wish and King's Shield's two.

Checks and Counters
===================
put two asterisks on each side of the word, like **this** Also be sure to put the colon on the outside of the asterisks. It would look like:
**-Ate Users**:

*-Ate users:* FakeSpeed users such as Kyurem-Black and Mega Diancie are huge threats to Yveltal as it outspeeds it with priority and OHKOes with their super-effective moves

*No Guard Users:* No Guards users such as Deoxys-S, especially Focus Sash variants, can take a hit from a Sucker Punch and knockout Yveltal with Sheer Cold

*Fairy Types:* Wonder Guard Fairy types such as Xerneas and Mega Gardevoir can threaten Yveltal due to their immunity of Yveltal's attacks and its super effective STAB

*Huge Power:* Huge Power Pokemon such as Mega Mewtwo X or and Deoxys-A can OHKO Yveltal with super effective attacks, partically if it does not runs King's Shield. are extremely threatening against Yveltal since it hits extremely hard.

*Wonder Guard:* Wonder Guards not weak to Yveltal can simply pivot out or Shell Smash in front of Yveltal, as Yveltal cannot hit them with any of it's its it is possessive in this case attacks.

*Mold Breaker:* Mold Breaker is a very good counter to Yveltal, especially ones running Spore, as they users can bypass Yveltal's ability to redirect status moves, potentially allowing them to set up in from of it. and can take advantage of it's passivity and deal massive damage.

*Shadow Tag:* Shadow tag sweeper also take Yveltal's passivity and outspeed Yveltal even if it has Baton Pass If Yveltal does not run Shed Shell, it is susceptible to being trapped and KOed by attackers like Mega Mewtwo X and Mega Mewtwo Y, or it can be taken out with Perish Song from Lugia and Arceus.

Magic Bounce
Yveltal uses its good typing and great typing, good bulk, allowing it to soft check foes like Mega Gengar and Mega Latios, great defensive synergy with Prankster Giratina, this seems more notable decent attack, and its Ability Magic Bounce to effectively check Giratina and bounce back important foes like Mega Gengar, Giratina, and Mega Beedrill while bouncing opposing hazards, Taunt, Will-O-Wisp, and Parting Shots for momentum. Knock Off is Yveltal's main STAB list examples of mons knock hits, and can also remove opposing Pokemon’s used to remove enemy's items. Pursuit can be used to traps conciseness is key in general for analyses frail Ghost-type Pokemon such as Giratina gira takes like 30 I wouldn’t say it gets trapped and, in particular Mega Gengar and maybe latios but it doesn’t die to pursuit before smash (probably staying in anyway if they know you’re bounce), as well as hitting physically frail Pokemon like Blissey wonder guard. Sucker Punch can be used to pick off weakned foes like Huge Power Mega Mewtwo X and No Guard Doexys-S. moved & edited Aromatherapy is a third option that can be used on Yveltal to free a moveslot on passive Wonder Guards due to it's ability to blocking Taunt via Magic Bounce. Sucker Punch can be used to pick off foes like Mega Gengar, Mega Latios after a Shell Smash, and and chipped No Guard Deoxys-S. Defog can be used to clear away hazards, as Yveltal has an immunity to Spikes and Toxic Spikes, and use Recover to heal up damage from Stealth Rock. always use Defog wg + bouncer so you have 2 mons with counterplay vs hazards Wish and Baton Pass and Wish ordering can be used in conjunction with 0 Speed IVs to slow pivot. King’s Shield allows Yveltal to scout Choice item Mold Breaker users and weaken most offensive Shadow Tag users, like V-create Primal Groudon and Low Kick Mega Mewtwo X, though it leaves Yveltal vulnerable to Trick. A specially defensive spread is used to tank hits from foes Yveltal soft checks, like Mega Gengar and Mega Latios, more effectively Moonblast or Freeze Dry from unboosted Xerneas um no. Shed Shell allows Yveltal to is the main item as it helps escape Shadow Tag users like Primal Groudon or Mega Mewtwo X. However, however Safety Goggles can also be used to better check prevent Mold Breaker Spore users vulnerable to it, such as Mega Gengar or Primal Groudon from putting it to sleep, especially the former as Yveltal can threaten it with Knock Off, Sucker Punch or Pursuit yve is a really soft check vs pretty much ever moldy that doesn’t outright beat it. Minimum Sspeed with a Sassy nature lets Baton Pass Yveltal slow pivot more effectively. is used in conjunction with Baton Pass to more safely bring in teammates by underspeeding the opponent to let Yveltal take the incoming hit.

Magic Bounce Yveltal can be used on heavily defensive stall full fat sucks or balance teams which struggle with Mold Breaker Mega Gengar and Mega Latios and need a status blocker for longevity. mention prankster gira here, since yve has particularly good defensive synergy w it Mold Breaker tTeammates like Mega Latios Gengar see next sentence and Primal Groudon appreciate Yveltal's ability to slow pivot with Baton Pass and block status moves like Spore and Glare Will-O-Wisp from Prankster opponents like Giratina. Mega Latios in particular can also be Imposter-proofed to a degree by Safety Goggles Yveltal. very soft improof but this still stands Substitute + Baton Pass users like Xerneas and Wonder Guard Mega Gengar gar is a VERY good teammate here appreciate Yveltal's ability to block Taunt; Yveltal can Imposter-proof Mega Gengar in particular effectively, due to bouncing back Toxic Spikes. Yveltal appreciates Wonder Guard users like Xerneas and Slaking to switch into No Guard users as well as Huge Power and Protean coverage users, which otherwise break through it. compensate for its weaknesses. vague Due to Yveltal's ability to block and redirect Parting Shot, Mold Breaker Pokemon such as Mega Gengar appreciate Yveltal's ability to bring them in safely. moved + shortened

yve also likes 5 teammates that already function decently well together since it doesn’t do much besides being a bouncer and hitting dark weaks

Alternative Offensive what is an offensive status move status moves such as Spore and Encore are options for Prankster Yveltal (I think?) to prevent setup, however it is extremely difficult to improof. goggles Beat Up is another option on most Yveltal sets that can break Substitute and isn’t detrimental into King’s Shield, but is more unreliable than Knock Off because you need most of your teammates healthy I think? Foul Play can be used over knock? pursuit? on Magic Bounce and Prankster sets to better threaten offensive foes attack sweepers such as Mega Latios Primal Groudon and Mega Mewtwo X, though Prankster Giratina comfortably walls Yveltal if it is its strongest Dark-type STAB move and bulkier foes, like Primal Groudon and Xerneas, need to have used Shell Smash for it to deal significant damage. can reword if you wantbut fails to threaten physcially weak Pokemon such as Blissey. blobs are pretty much always either wg or imposter, this basically never matters Defog can be used on Magic Bounce sets to clear hazards, though it is redundant because Yveltal already bounces hazards back and cannot safely Defog on foes that force it out. moved to other options, personally think it is garbage so if you want you can remove it entirely King Shield in conjunction with Wish can be used to help Yveltal's recovery and against physical Shadow Tag users, however Recover is a better option in general as it only takes up one moveslot in comparison to Wish and King's Shield's two. main set
mention physically bulkier bounce/prank/poison heal yve sets (108 def with 248 or 252 hp lets it live +2 don arrows, for example)
mention coverage on huge power yve
add regenvest/gale wings/magic guard since these all have some sort of use even if they are damn near unjustifiable 99% of the time

Checks and Counters
===================

**-Ate users**: Pixilate and Refrigerate FakeSpeed users such as Mega Diancie and Kyurem-Black and Mega Diancie diancie is better and therefore should come first OHKO it with Extreme Speed, while Yveltal is 2HKOed by Aerilate Mega Rayquaza. Because they force Yveltal out, it is also unable to block hazards, which are frequently used on -are users. are huge threats to Yveltal as it outspeeds it with priority and OHKOes with their super-effective moves

**No Guard Users**: No Guards users can threaten such as Deoxys-S, especially Focus Sash variants, can take a hit from a Sucker Punch and knockout Yveltal with Sheer Cold. Additionally, most No Guard users live a Sucker Punch from non-Huge Power Yveltal sets. however huge power yve smacks non sash mmy/deo-s etc and prank yve can spore/glare or dbond

**Wonder Guard CoverageFairy Types**: Wonder Guard sweepers, Fairy types such as Xerneas and Mega Gardevoir and Primal Groudon, can threaten most Yveltal sets due to their immunity of Yveltal's attacks and its super effective STAB however, mold yve can threaten frailer smashed foes if sucker and huge power can tot/gastro acid if it gets the chance to

**Strong Coverage lmk if you got a better name Huge Power**: Huge Power Pokemon such as Mega Mewtwo X and Deoxys-A ass can OHKO Yveltal with super effective attacks, especially partially if it does not run King's Shield. but prank and dread plate huge power are annoying

**No Guard Users**: sheer cold go pewpew but prank dbond/spore annoying. huge power sucker is also annoying if no functional sash, though mmx can live with 0 bulk if no plate/with full hp if plate

**Support Wonder Guard**: Wonder Guards not weak to Dark- or Flying-type moves Yveltal are free to do whatever they wish against most Yveltal sets. can simply pivot out or Shell Smash in front of Yveltal, as Yveltal cannot hit them with any of its attacks. however, mold yve can knock shed shells and huge power yve can tot/gastro or run coverage i guess

**Mold Breaker Users**: Setup Mold Breaker users can put Yveltal to sleep with Dark Void (or Spore if no goggles) to gain turns to set up with Shell Smash bypass Yveltal's ability to redirect status moves, potentially allowing them to set up in from of it. band/specs molds also just destroy defensive yve/it can’t switch in. However, prank can dbond/spore/glare whatever and huge power can sucker

**Shadow Tag**: If Yveltal does not run Shed Shell, it is susceptible to being trapped and KOed by attackers like Primal Groudon and Mega Mewtwo X, especially if not running King’s Shield, and Mega Mewtwo Y, or it can be taken out with by Encore + Perish Song users like from Lugia and Arceus.

mention trick and mons like gale wings ray somewhere

Magic Bounce Yveltal uses its good typing and bulk, allowing it to soft check foes like non-No Guard Mega Gengar whoops my bad and Mold Breaker Mega Latios, great defensive synergy with Prankster Giratina, and its Ability to effectively check Giratina and bounce back opposing hazards, Taunt, Will O' Wisp Parting Shot. Knock Off is Yveltal's main STAB to hit Pokemon like Giratina and Mega Beedrill ??? and can also remove opposing Pokemon's items. Aromatherapy can be used to free a moveslot on passive Wonder Guards due to blocking Taunt via Magic Bounce. Pursuit traps Ghost-type Pokemon, particularly Mega Gengar, as well as hitting physically frail Pokemon like Blissey. Sucker Punch can be used to pick off foes like Mold Breaker Mega Gengar wg just baton passes away, Mold Breaker Mega Latios after a Shell Smash, and and chipped No Guard Deoxys-S. Baton Pass and Wish can be used in conjunction with 0 Speed IVs to slow pivot. King’s Shield allows Yveltal to scout Choice item Mold Breaker users and weaken most offensive Shadow Tag users, like V-create Primal Groudon and Low Kick Mega Mewtwo X, though it leaves Yveltal vulnerable to Trick. A specially defensive spread is used to tank hits from foes Yveltal soft checks, like Mega Gengar and Mega Latios, more effectively. Shed Shell allows Yveltal to escape Shadow Tag users like Primal Groudon or Mega Mewtwo X. Magic Bounce Yveltal can be used on heavily defesnive stall or balance teams which struggle with Mold Breaker Mega Gengar and Mega Latios need a status blocker for longevity. Substitute + Baton Pass users like Xerneas and Wonder Guard Mega Gengar appreciate Yveltal's ability to block Taunt; Yveltal can Imposter-proof Mega Gengar in particular effectively, due to bouncing back Toxic Spikes. An alternative physically bulky stat spread of 248 HP / 108 Def / 152 SpD with a Sassy or Calm nature readers won’t know what spread unless you tell them can be run on Yveltal with abilities like Magic Bounce, Prankster, and Poison Heal to live attacks from Pokemon such as Primal Groudon at +2. Coverage moves such as Bullet Punch or Sacred Sword Close Combat, Sacred Fire, and Gear Grind can be used on Huge Power sets to hit Wonder Guard Pokemon such as Slaking, Mega Scizor, or Xerneas. RegenVest and Gale Wings Yveltal are options that can more easily sponge special hits and provide King’s Shield-resistant priority respectively, though both are nearly fully outclassed. are usually run on Yveltal spam teams.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Strong Priority Users -Ate users**: Pixilate and Refrigerate users such as Mega Diancie and Kyurem-Black OHKO it with Extreme Speed, while Yveltal is 2HKOed by Aerilate Mega Rayquaza. Because they force Yveltal out, it is also unable to block hazards, which are frequently used on -are users. Additionslly Huge Power Regigigas and Gale Wings Mega Rayquaza threaten Yveltal, the former especially if Yveltal forgoes King’s Shield. However, Yveltal can usually comfortably switch out of these due to its resistance to Pursuit. can reword as you want

*No Guard Users**: No Guards users can threaten Yveltal with Sheer Cold. Additionally, most No Guard users live a Sucker Punch from non-Huge Power Yveltal sets.

**Wonder Guard Coverage**: Wonder Guard sweepers, such as Mega Gardevoir and Xerneas can threaten most Yveltal sets due to their immunity of Yveltal's attacks. wording was confusing

**Strong Coverage**: Huge Power Pokemon such as Mega Mewtwo X can OHKO Yveltal with super effective attacks, especially if it does not run King's Shield. Protean Latios and Nega Mewtwo Y can also threaten Yveltal with coverage like Moonblast and Freeze-Dry. However, these are vulnerable to Huge Power Yveltal’s Sucker Punch, though Yveltal needs Dread Plate to OHKO uninvested Mega Mewtwo X with it. forgot to mention protean in my check but hp yve mention should’ve been there

**Wonder Guard**: Wonder Guards not weak to Dark or Flying moves are free to do whatever they wish against most Yveltal sets. However, Mold Breaker Yveltal can still remove items with Knock Off and Huge Power Yveltal can threaten Wonder Guards initially neutral to Dark and not Mega Sableye dunno how to word this with Trick-or-Treat into Knock Pff or Pursuit.

**Mold Breaker Users**: Setup Mold Breaker users can put Yveltal to sleep with Dark Void to gain turns to set up with Shell Smash. Choice item Mold Breaker users are also strong as hell and rip through yve on both sides, especially if no kings. However molds generally hate huge power sucker (especially after shell smash) and dislike prank dbond/spore if no lum

please read comments in blue in general

**Shadow Tag**: If Yveltal does not run Shed Shell, it is susceptible to being trapped and KOed by attackers like Primal Groudon and Mega Mewtwo X, or it can be taken out by Encore + Perish Song users like Lugia and Arceus. trick sucks for it too

[SET COMMENTS]

Magic Bounce Yveltal uses its good typing and bulk, (comma) allowing it to soft check foes like non-No Guard Mega Gengar and Mold Breaker Mega Latios, great defensive synergy with Prankster Giratina, (mention this in the teammates section instead) and its Ability ability to effectively check Giratina and bounce back opposing entry hazards, Taunt, Will O' Wisp Will-O-Wisp, and Parting Shot. Knock Off is Yveltal's main STAB to hit (filler phrase) hits Pokemon like Giratina. (period) and can also remove opposing Pokemon's items. (dex info) Aromatherapy can be used to free a moveslot on passive Wonder Guards Guard teammates, and Yveltal is a particularly effective user of the move due to because of it blocking Taunt via Magic Bounce. Pursuit traps Ghost-type Pokemon, particularly Mega Gengar, Gengar. as well as hitting physically frail Pokemon like Blissey. (Blissey is either going to be Wonder Guard or Imposter) Sucker Punch can be used to pick off foes like Mold Breaker Mega Gengar, Mold Breaker Mega Latios after a Shell Smash, and and chipped No Guard Deoxys-S. Baton Pass and Wish can be used in conjunction with 0 Speed IVs and a Sassy nature to slow slowly pivot to a teammate for them to safely receive a Wish. (you didn't mention Wish) King’s King's Shield allows Yveltal to scout Choice item Mold Breaker users and weaken most offensive Shadow Tag users, like V-create Primal Groudon and Low Kick Mega Mewtwo X, though it leaves Yveltal vulnerable to Trick. A specially defensive spread is used to tank hits from foes Yveltal soft checks, like Mega Gengar and Mega Latios, more effectively. (you already said what Yveltal checks; if there's nothing to add then not explaining max / max spreads is fine) Shed Shell allows Yveltal to escape Shadow Tag users, (comma) like Primal Groudon or and Mega Mewtwo X. However, (comma) Safety Goggles can also be used to better check Mold Breaker Spore users vulnerable to it Yveltal, such as Mega Gengar. Minimum Speed with a Sassy nature lets Baton Pass Yveltal slow pivot more effectively. (you already mentioned this) Run a Careful nature and 31 Speed IVs if Yveltal is not running Baton Pass. (you can't slash IVs like that; mention it in the set comments instead)

Magic Bounce Yveltal can be used on heavily defesnive stall or bulky balance teams which that struggle with Mold Breaker Mega Gengar and Mega Latios and need a status blocker for longevity. Yveltal also functions well on already well-rounded teams, (comma) that perform well against a variety of foes, ("well-rounded" already implies this) as Yveltal is passive and only soft checks most of what it switches into. Yveltal has great defensive synergy with Prankster Giratina, as Yveltal checks non-No Guard Mega Gengar and Mold Breaker Mega Latios for it. (moved from the first paragraph) Mold Breaker teammates, (comma) like Mega Latios and Primal Groudon, (comma) appreciate Yveltal's ability to slow slowly pivot to them with Baton Pass and block status moves, (comma) like Spore and Will-O-Wisp, (comma) from Prankster opponents foes, like Giratina. Mega Latios in particular can also be Imposter-proofed to a degree by Safety Goggles Yveltal. Substitute + Baton Pass users, (comma) like Xerneas and Wonder Guard Mega Gengar, (comma) appreciate Yveltal's ability to block Taunt; Yveltal can also Imposter-proof Mega Gengar in particular effectively, (comma) due to because of the former bouncing back Toxic Spikes. Yveltal appreciates Wonder Guard users, (comma) like Xerneas and Slaking, (comma) to switch into No Guard users as well as Huge Power and Protean coverage users No Guard, Huge Power, and Protean users, (less awkward wording) which otherwise break through it.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

Alternative status moves, (comma) such as Spore and Encore, (comma) are options for Prankster Yveltal. Beat Up is another option on most Yveltal sets that can break hit past Substitute and isn’t isn't detrimental when used into King’s King's Shield, but it is more unreliable (change to "less reliable" if you didn't mean to imply that Knock Off is unreliable) than Knock Off due to because of the reliance on its team members. Foul Play can be used over Pursuit on Magic Bounce and Prankster sets to better threaten offensive foes such as Mega Latios and Mega Mewtwo X, X; though although, (just to break up the sentence a bit since it's pretty long) Prankster Giratina comfortably walls Yveltal if it is its strongest Dark-type STAB move, (comma) and bulkier foes, like Primal Groudon and Xerneas, need to have used Shell Smash for it to deal significant damage. King King's Shield in conjunction with Wish can be used to help Yveltal's recovery both Yveltal and its teammates recover and help against physical Shadow Tag users, users; however, (comma) Recover is a better option in general as it only takes up one moveslot in comparison to Wish and King's Shield's two. this takes up two moveslots. (Recover is already implied to be better as its on the main set and this isn't) An alternative stat spread of 248 HP / 108 Def / 152 SpD with a Sassy or Calm (as QC requested) nature can be run on Yveltal with abilities an ability like Magic Bounce, Prankster, (comma) and or Poison Heal to live attacks from Pokemon such as Thousand Arrows from +2 Primal Groudon and Dragon Ascent from Choice Band Mega Rayquaza. at +2. (these specific attacks are what the EVs are for) Coverage moves such as Close Combat, Sacred Fire, (comma) or and Gear Grind can be used on Huge Power sets to hit Wonder Guard Pokemon such as Slaking, Mega Scizor, (comma) or and Xerneas. RegenVest and Gale Wings Yveltal can more easily sponge special hits and provide King’s Shield-resistant priority that doesn't trigger King's Shield detrimental effect, (comma) respectively, respectively. though both are nearly fully outclassed. (implied to be outclassed by being in "Other Options")

Checks and Counters
===================

**Strong Priority Users**: Pixilate and Refrigerate users, (comma) such as Mega Diancie and Kyurem-Black Kyurem-B, OHKO it Yveltal with Extreme Speed, while Yveltal is 2HKOed by Aerilate Mega Rayquaza and Mega Rayquaza 2HKOes it with the same move. (active voice) Because they force Yveltal out, it is also unable to block entry hazards, which are frequently used on -are -ate users. Additionally, Huge Power Regigigas and Gale Wings Mega Rayquaza threaten Yveltal, the former especially if Yveltal forgoes King's Shield. However, Yveltal can usually comfortably switch out of these because of its resistance to Pursuit. (as QC requested)

**No Guard Users**: (there was a missing asterisk) No Guards users can threaten Yveltal with Sheer Cold. Additionally, most No Guard users live a Sucker Punch from non-Huge Power Yveltal sets.

**Wonder Guard Coverage Sweepers**: Wonder Guard sweepers, such as Mega Gardevoir and Xerneas, (comma) can threaten most Yveltal sets due to because of their immunity of to Yveltal's attacks.

**Strong Coverage**: Huge Power Pokemon, (comma) such as Mega Mewtwo X, (comma) can OHKO Yveltal with super effective attacks, especially if it does not run King's Shield. Protean Mega Latios and Mega Mewtwo Y can also threaten Yveltal with coverage like Moonblast and Freeze-Dry. However, these are vulnerable to Huge Power Yveltal’s Yveltal's Sucker Punch, though Yveltal needs Dread Plate to OHKO uninvested Mega Mewtwo X with it.

**Wonder Guard**: Wonder Guards Guard users not weak to Dark Dark- or Flying Flying-type moves are free to do whatever they wish against most Yveltal sets. However, Mold Breaker Yveltal can still remove items with Knock Off and Huge Power Yveltal can threaten non-Ghost-type Wonder Guards Guard users initially neutral to Dark that are not Mega Sableye with Trick-or-Treat into Knock Off or Pursuit.

**Mold Breaker Users**: Setup Mold Breaker users can put Yveltal to sleep with Dark Void to gain turns to set up with Shell Smash. Choice Item item Mold Breaker users are also a threat to Yveltal, but they dislike talking Sucker Punch from Huge Power Yveltal variants as well as Prankster Yveltal carrying Destiny Bond or Spore. (period)

**Shadow Tag**: If Yveltal does not run Shed Shell, it is susceptible to being trapped and KOed by attackers like Primal Groudon and Mega Mewtwo X, or it can be taken out by Encore + Perish Song users, (comma) like Lugia and Arceus.

**Trick**: Being given a Choice item via Trick severely debilitates Magic Bounce Yveltal, as this forces it to either use a recovery move and risk being too passive or respond with a different move and risk being worn down and subsequently KOed. (as QC requested. reword as desired)
