Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk

This might be a 'standard' now that a bunch of people and I spammed it, but might as well since it's not on site.

Water/Fairy is one of the best offensive and defensive typings in the game. While the Specs set makes the best use of this fact to be one of UU's most threatening wallbreakers, RestTalk Prima uses this fact to be one of the best blanket checks in UU. RestTalk Prima serves as a pretty good check to a number of UU's threats due to the natural special bulk and investment in Defense. It's a blanket check to most of UU's dragons (watch out for Z-Thunder Latias, and Pjab on random Haxorus / Kommo-o), many of UU's waters (assuming Scald burns in a reasonable time), many of UU's dark types (non CB-Krook, non-SD PJab Weavile), Mega Aero, most of UU's Fighting-types (Cobalion, Hawlucha, Infernape) and a bunch of other less relevant threats.

What really makes this set so great is the fact that it slots very nicely on Bulky Offensive teams that want a defensive backbone without sacrificing as much momentum that other Pokemon might. It has useful synergy with common Pokemon on BO teams, like Scizor, Latias, and Cobalion, so it's very easy to build around without resorting to uncommon Pokemon to find resists. Also, Scald and Fairy-types are broken and this uses both of them.

Bulky Primarina was already a solid Pokemon due to awesome defensive typing, but without Specs the loss of power really sucked. CroMarina solves that by letting you boost to frightening levels after just a few turns, and it finds ample opportunities to do so with Weavile/Lati/Blastoise and co running around. This set also has a real nice matchup vs Stall if you manage to wear down or kill their Tentacruel. It sucks that it doesn't get Calm Mind so no eating Electric attacks after boost :/ but it's still a neat set. Big downside is Scizor sets up on you but they won't try to until you reveal no Scald.

I know Bulky Primarina is the only set people have posted, but Primarina has pretty limited offensive sets. Max defense rocky helmet Primarina lets Primarina eat hits from many physical attackers in the tier while getting chip damage on them. It still checks most dragon types in the tier like Hydreigon and Latias, besides a gigavolt havoc set, and fighting types in the tier like Cobalion, Hawlucha, Terrakion, Mienshao, and Infernape. It partners well with mons that don't like being revenge killled from U-turns like Celebi, Mega Absol, and Weavile. Primarina also has great chemistry with ground types as Primarina beats their checks while ground types beat electric types for Primarina. Lastly, late game sweepers (CB Entei, Mega Sharpedo, Scarf Infernape, Lucario) that need prior chip damage on Pokemon (Scizor, Cobalion, Infernape) team up well with this Primarina.

Ok, so here is a non rest-talk Primarina set. This isn't my own set, but I have encountered it a few times and it has caught me by surprise. Wonder Room swaps Defense and Special Defense, allowing Primarina to break through some of the common walls it has trouble with. When used against other players, since many of them have not encountered this move before, they may continue to keep their existing Primarina checks in, instead of switching to a physically defensive check like Alomomola instead.

Here's a pretty spicy set I cooked up!

Gliscor @ Life Orb
Ability: Poison Heal
EVs: 184 HP / 252 Atk / 72 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Swords Dance
- Quick Attack / Aqua Tail
- Earthquake
- Roost / Aqua Tail

It's a pretty aggressive set that has some surprising damage to accompany it with a High damage stab, coverage through Aqua Tail, and a revenge/priority potential with Quick Attack. You could also play around with sacrificing Quick Attack priority in exchange to Roost and Aqua Tail coverage. I'll put some calcs below for you guys to check out.

Vs Aero

252+ Atk Life Orb Gliscor Aqua Tail vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Aerodactyl: 322-380 (106.9 - 126.2%) -- guaranteed OHKO
252 Atk Aerodactyl Stone Edge vs. 184 HP / 0 Def Gliscor: 117-138 (34.7 - 40.9%) -- guaranteed 3HKO

Vs Coba
252+ Atk Life Orb Gliscor Earthquake vs. 0 HP / 0 Def Cobalion: 304-359 (94.1 - 111.1%) -- 56.3% chance to OHKO

Vs Gliscor
252+ Atk Life Orb Gliscor Aqua Tail vs. 244 HP / 12 Def Gliscor: 185-218 (52.5 - 61.9%) -- 64.1% chance to 2HKO after Poison Heal
+2 252+ Atk Life Orb Gliscor Aqua Tail vs. 244 HP / 12 Def Gliscor: 367-434 (104.2 - 123.2%) -- guaranteed OHKO

(opp) 0 Atk Gliscor Facade (140 BP) vs. 184 HP / 0 Def Gliscor: 79-94 (23.4 - 27.8%) -- 84.2% chance to 4HKO

Vs Beedrill
+2 252+ Atk Life Orb Gliscor Aqua Tail vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Beedrill: 454-534 (167.5 - 197%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Vs Klefki
252+ Atk Life Orb Gliscor Earthquake vs. 252 HP / 4 Def Klefki: 406-478 (127.6 - 150.3%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Hopefully, that displays some of the potential power output of the set. I'll now justify Quick Attack by providing a nice sample core for the team with the help of Klefki and Infernape. Below I will provide the team core consisting of Klefki, Infernape, and the Gliscor Set.

Gliscor @ Life Orb
Ability: Poison Heal
EVs: 184 HP / 252 Atk / 72 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Swords Dance
- Quick Attack
- Earthquake
- Roost

Klefki @ Leftovers
Ability: Prankster
EVs: 196 HP / 208 Def / 104 SpD
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Spikes
- Dazzling Gleam
- Hidden Power [Fire]
- Thunder Wave

Infernape @ Focus Sash
Ability: Blaze
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpA / 252 Spe
Hasty Nature
- Stealth Rock
- Close Combat
- Fire Blast
- Fake Out

This core provides you with two potential leads. Spikes, or SR/Fake out.

Infernape is a must lead if your opponent is likely to send out a sash lead. Fake Out into SR, into damage. It's quite consistent and provides Gliscor with the chip damage needed from hazards to secure Quick Attack kills.

Klekfi works essentially the same way, T-wave anything that would/could potentially cause strife to Gliscors speed while also stacking spikes to allow Gliscor to secure Quick Attack kills and more OHKOs in general.

That's about all I can say on this set. I made this set/core rather quickly and have only had about 10 battles or so (1200-1300) to test. It works quite well, surprisingly. At request, I will happily capture some replays.

Thank you for reading and please provide any feedback you can come up with, I would greatly appreciate it.

Gliscor's Supersonic Skystrike is almost as strong as Landorus-T's in OU, which is to say really really fucking strong. If this set SDs up safely, it's very hard to stop it getting a KO unless you predict correctly around it due to Ground / Flying's excellent coverage, and noone predicts the Skystrike lol. I think double dance is the best way to pull this off as it has the most surprise value and it's really easy to lure traditional Ground immune/resistant Gliscor checks in to get wiped away by Skystrike opening up a sweep for this or smth else. Hyper Cutter might seem a better ability but you literally set up on the only viable Intimidate user in this tier and if you can somehow switch this in on a Toxic it becomes a massive annoyance to deal with. The main reason you'd ever use this over Talonflame is that it doesn't necessitate hazard removal and carries a lot more surprise factor, making your opponent more likely to unwittingly sac something that they might actually need later in the game.

+2 252 Atk Gliscor Supersonic Skystrike (200 BP) vs. 240 HP / 252+ Def Swampert: 406-478 (101.2 - 119.2%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Gliscor @ Toxic Orb
Ability: Poison Heal
EVs: 252 HP / 184 Def / 72 Spe
Impish Nature (+Def, -SpA)
- Substitute
- Protect
- Earthquake / Facade
- Toxic / Torment

Probably one of the most disgusting sets you will ever encounter in UU. Synergizes very well with Hazards. Basically, you substitute on the switch-in, toxic any pokemon that switches in to break your sub, then protect, then substitute again if you are faster. This set completely shuts down common Gliscor switch-ins such as Mamoswine, Weavile and Bulky Waters.

Alternatively, another set running Torment is also very effective, if you have Toxic Spikes support. Torment makes it so that the enemy can't use the same move twice. Many times, due to Gliscor's typing, most Pokemon don't carry more than one super-effective attack against Gliscor, this means by using a combination of both Torment + Substitute + Protect, many Pokemon will no longer be capable of breaking Gliscor's Substitutes, and many Choiced Pokemon will just struggle.

Stallbreaker Gliscor with a trapping twist. Fucks with fat teams that try to beat stallbreaker Glisc by switching around. 4-5 turns of trapping with residual damage from both Sand Tomb and Toxic are generally sufficient to prevent things like having stall try to endlessly switch between Mola/Blissey to reset tox turns and run Gliscor out of PP.

Basically an inferior version of the Sky Attack set, but it does not require a Z move and you can more easily spam the Flying stab. Also I use the better ability imo.

Z Sky Attack by Freeroamer

Hogg's set might be interesting but you're losing Earthquake / any decent damaging move which means you lose to things like Lucario and Chandelure and Xurkitree, which is basically unacceptable for most teams.

Z Sky Attack still smashes most walls to pieces including Alomomola while you get more overall utility again with the physical moves and sweeping potential.
