Melmetal @ Leftovers
Ability: Iron Fist
EVs: 252 Atk / 52 Def / 160 SpD / 44 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Double Iron Bash
- Thunder Punch
- Superpower
- Protect

Melmetal bashes OU's walls! Melmetal's insane offensive potential and bulk allow it to tank strong hits like Tapu Lele's Psychic and Weavile's Knock Off and strike back even harder. Double Iron Bash is capable of breaking every Pokemon that does not resist it, bursting through defensive options like Tornadus-T and Tapu Fini. Thunder Punch hits Corviknight and Toxapex super effectively, making them shakier switch-ins. Superpower nails Ferrothorn, Heatran, Kartana, and opposing Melmetal. Protect allows Melmetal to scout Choice item users like Tapu Lele, Dragapult, and Kartana while also giving Melmetal more Leftovers recovery. 44 Speed EVs allow Melmetal to outpace Gastrodon and fish for flinches. The given bulk investment lets Melmetal survive two Choice Specs-boosted Shadow Balls from Dragapult and a +2 Low Kick from Weavile. Landorus-T is an excellent partner for Melmetal, as it can slowly pivot it in with U-turn and cripple Zapdos with Toxic. Strong wallbreakers like Tapu Lele and Dragapult pair well with Melmetal, as together they can break through bulkier Pokemon like Tapu Fini and Ferrothorn. In return, Tapu Lele pressures Toxapex and can chip Corviknight, while Dragapult threatens Slowbro and Urshifu-R.

Melmetal bashes OU's walls! Melmetal's insane offensive potential and bulk allow it to tank strong hits and strike back even harder. this is really vague. tank hits from what? what does it switch into and threaten out offensively? give some examples here because melm having so much opportunities for entry is a huge reason why it's so potent. Double Iron Bash coming off Melmetal's sky-high Attack is capable of breaking through every Pokemon that does not resist it. such as? Thunder Punch is used to hit Corviknight and Toxapex super effectively, making them shakier switch-ins. Superpower notably hits Ferrothorn, Heatran, and opposing Melmetal quite hard, as well as heavily damaging Corviknight as it Roosts. you should replace one of these examples with kartana because it along with ferrothorn being important targets is why superpower is preferred, otherwise it'd just be using earthquake Protect allows Melmetal to scout Choice Item users like Tapu Lele, Dragapult, and Kartana while also giving Melmetal more Leftovers recovery. 44 Speed EVs allow Melmetal to outpace Gastrodon and fish for Double Iron Bash flinches. The given bulk investment lets Melmetal live 2 Choice Specs Dragapult Shadow Balls and Weavile's +2 Low Kick. Landorus-T is an excellent partner for Melmetal, as it can slowly pivot it in with U-turn and cripple Zapdos with Toxic. Strong wallbreakers like Tapu Lele and Dragapult pair well with Melmetal, as together they can break through bulkier teams. Tapu Lele, in particular, is helpful for pressuring Toxapex and chipping Corviknight. i would also briefly mention how pult can pressure stuff like slowbro and urshifu with a ko while melmetal wears down stuff like tapu fini and ferrothorn so pult becomes more difficult to handle mid and late game
QC 1/1 when implemented, if you have any questions lmk on discord

A bit over the character limit already and some of my changes made it a bit longer, so I trimmed down on a few unnecessary parts.
