[OVERVIEW]

With its combination of immense power, great speed, and good coverage, Mega Sharpedo imposes itself as a dangerous wallbreaker and sweeper in UnderUsed. Speed Boost makes it very hard to outrun after just one boost and Crunch provides immense power behind Strong Jaws, which also powers up Psychic Fangs and Ice Fang. Despite Mega Sharpedo's very limited defensive utility, its key resistances to two big priority moves in Ice Shard and Bullet Punch make it more difficult to revenge kill. However, it remains heavily susceptible to other priority moves like Extreme Speed from Zygarde-10% and Entei and Mach Punch from Infernape. It struggles to sweep through bulky Pokemon and Pokemon that resist its attacks like Mega Aggron, Klefki, and Alomomola. Additionally, its frailty renders it heavily susceptible to any strong attacks from threats that it cannot immediately KO including Cobalion and Sylveon.

[SET COMMENTS]
Moves
========

Crunch is a STAB- and Strong Jaws-boosted move that deals heavy damage to Pokemon that don't resist the move. Psychic Fangs is also boosted by Strong Jaws and allows Sharpedo to heavily damage Fighting-types and Fairy-types like Terrakion and Primarina that resist Crunch. Ice Fang allows Sharpedo to hit some Dragon-type threats like Hydreigon and Mega Altaria for super effective damage, and it is also boosted by Strong Jaws. Alternatively, Waterfall hits Ground-type Pokemon like Krookodile, Mega Steelix, and Hippowdon stronger than Ice Fang does while also hitting Klefki for neutral damage. Protect allows Sharpedo to utilize Speed Boost before Mega Evolving.

Set Details
========

Sharpedonite allows Sharpedo to Mega Evolve, greatly enhancing Sharpedo's sweeping and wallbreaking capabilities with Strong Jaws. Maximum speed and power are necessary on Sharpedo, so 252 Attack and Speed EVs are applied. Speed Boost allows Sharpedo to passively boost its Speed in base forme, making it hard to revenge kill. A Jolly nature allows Sharpedo to outspeed Choice Scarf Krookodile and Hydreigon after one Speed boost upon Mega Evolution, and Adamant boosts Sharpedo's wallbreaking prowess and still lets it outspeed all relevant Choice Scarf users after two Speed boosts.

Usage Tips
========

As Sharpedo is generally utilized to clean weakened teams, Mega Evolving it early on is not advised. However, if the opposing team has nothing to outspeed Mega Sharpedo, Mega Evolve immediately so it can immediately utilize its power. Sharpedo can also be used as an early-game wallbreaker to support other sweepers if the opposing team is well prepared for it. Because Sharpedo is very frail, it should always come in through pivot support or after a teammate has fainted. Make sure threats like Cobalion, Klefki, and Alomomola that can tank Mega Sharpedo's attacks and KO it back or wear it down to oblivion are eliminated or sufficiently weakened before attempting a late-game sweep. Also make sure priority users like Zygarde-10%, Infernape, and Entei that can revenge kill Mega Sharpedo are removed. Additionally, make sure faster Choice Scarf users like Infernape and Latias have been scouted for, as they outspeed Mega Sharpedo even after one Speed boost and KO it with their respective STAB moves. Switch Sharpedo into something it can immediately outspeed and KO before Mega Evolving so it can accumulate a second Speed boost with Protect, especially if the opposing team has a fast Choice Scarf user. This is particularly important if Sharpedo is running an Adamant nature so as to not be outsped by Choice Scarf Krookodile and Hydreigon. Finally, when utilizing Protect for Speed boosts, be wary of Z-Crystal holders like Cobalion, Terrakion, and Latias, which can bypass Protect via their Z-Moves.

Team Options
========

Sharpedo is best utilized on offensive teams that appreciate it for its great power not only as a cleaner but also as a wallbreaker. Stealth Rock setters like Cobalion and Azelf that can help maintain pressure on the opposing team are greatly appreciated, while Klefki and Froslass provide valuable Spikes support for Sharpedo, for example pulling Cobalion into 2HKO range with Psychic Fangs after switching into a layer of Spikes twice. Wallbreakers like Primarina, Heracross, and Scizor help wear down threats like Cobalion, Klefki, and Alomomola that Sharpedo cannot deal with on its own, and the latter can more notably serve as a secondary cleaner should Sharpedo be unable to clean on its own. Other setup sweepers like Latias and Lucario greatly appreciate Mega Sharpedo's ability to wear down walls like Mega Steelix and Mega Aggron should Mega Sharpedo be utilized more as a wallbreaker. Spinblockers like Doublade and Cofagrigus ensure that spinners cannot clear hazards, while Taunt users like Gliscor and Azelf prevent slower Defoggers like Mantine and Empoleon from clearing hazards. Finally, teammates that have access to U-turn or Volt Switch like Rotom-W and Gliscor allow Sharpedo to safely switch in.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

A mixed set with Hydro Pump can be used to bypass Intimidate from Krookodile; however, that cuts into Mega Sharpedo's prowess as a physical wallbreaker. Earthquake can be utilized to heavily damage Cobalion and Klefki, and Poison Jab can be used to deal heavier damage to Fairy-types like Sylveon, but both are generally inferior coverage options. Destiny Bond can also be utilized to let Sharpedo lure and take out Fairy-types, but this comes at the cost of a valuable coverage slot.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Steel-type Pokemon**: Cobalion and Mega Aggron are not 2HKOed by any of Sharpedo's commonly used moves and can easily OHKO back with Close Combat or phaze it with Roar, removing any Speed boosts that it has.

**Fairy-type Pokemon**: Fairy-type Pokemon like Klefki and Sylveon also avoid the 2HKO from any of Sharpedo's commonly used moves and can KO back with their STAB attacks.

**Bulky Water-type Pokemon**: Although bulky Water-type Pokemon like Alomomola and Suicune do not appreciate taking Crunch repeatedly due to potential Defense drops, Scald burns heavily cripple Sharpedo, and Alomomola can Toxic stall it.

**Bulky Dark-type Pokemon**: Umbreon can stall out Mega Sharpedo with Wish and Protect, and Mandibuzz, while weak to Ice Fang, still avoids the 2HKO from full health and can Toxic stall Mega Sharpedo. Additionally, Krookodile can reduce Mega Sharpedo's power with Intimidate, survive an attack, and KO it with Superpower.

**Hydreigon and Mega Altaria**: If Sharpedo does not carry Ice Fang, Hydreigon and Mega Altaria can also revenge kill it with Draco Meteor and any Fairy-type move, respectively.

-The overview is really just... Dry. Mention speed boost, mention just more in general.
-I would personally remove froslass from team options as it's almost irrelevant in this meta
-Mention in usage tips to be really careful about switching in general because it's frail af.
-Also mention how scizor can even provide VoltTurn support in addition to breaking and sweeping.
-In c&c mention fast scarf users, say how certain faster scarf Mons can outspeeds it if it only has one boost but if it has more it just wins.

Overview
* Generational shifts aren't supposed to be alluded to in analyses, so the addition of Psychic Fangs to Mega Sharpedo's arsenal isn't something that I think needs to be specifically referenced. Instead, say in a separate line that it has good coverage in addition to its strong STAB Crunch, and use Psychic Fangs alongside Ice Fang as an example.
* Modify your first line now that you're mentioning Psychic Fangs in a separate. It really only needs to say that Mega Sharpedo is a strong sweeper/cleaner in the metagame.
* You need to talk about both Speed Boost and Strong Jaw here and why exactly they allow Mega Sharpedo to pose the threat that it does (i.e Speed Boost makes it extremely hard to revenge kill after just one Protect, and Crunch puts an immense amount of power behind Crunch and makes Psychic Fangs and Ice Fang powerful as well).
* 'Despite its very limited defensive utility, its key resistances to two big priority moves in Ice Shard and Bullet Punch make it more difficult to revenge kill.' - this line should be mentioned before you talk about any of Mega Sharpedo's drawbacks, so in other words before the second current bullet point.
* 'threats that it cannot immediately KO.' - give examples here and make sure that Cobalion is one of them.
* I'd also talk about Mega Sharpedo's susceptibility to a few notably powerful priority attacks, most notably ESpeed from Zydog and Entei and Mach Punch from Infernape.
* Talk about its struggles against particularly bulky Pokemon or Pokemon with resistances to its attacks, and use things like Alomomola, Klefki, Sylveon, and Mega Aggron as examples.

Overall this overview was kind of a mess, due to the lack of general information that's important to mention and the poor organization of the bullet points. Make sure that you flesh out overviews more in future analyses .

Set/Moves
* Change 'Speed Boost --> Strong Jaws' to just 'Speed Boost' - it's already known that a Mega Evolution only has one possible ability, so you're always going to want to only mention the ability they'll have prior to mega evolving.
* "Fighting-types and Fairy-types that otherwise resist Crunch." - give examples.
* In your Waterfall line, state that the move is also Mega Sharpedo's best source of damage against Klefki.

Usage Tips
* Talk about how due to Sharpedo's frailty, it should always look to come in through pivot support or after a teammate has fainted.
* Talk about the use of Protect here, and also state that in using it Sharpedo should be wary of Z-move users that can bypass Protect, like Terrakion and Cobalion.
* Talk about scouting out Choice Scarf users like Infernape and Latias, and specify why exactly this is important (Sharpedo's frailty).
* Saying something here about making sure priority users that can revenge kill Sharpedo (Infernape, Zygarde) are gone before it attempts its sweep.

Team Options
* Replace your Spinblocker example with Cofagrigus since it's more relevant than Froslass. Keeping Lass as an example for Spikes setters is fine, though.
* Add setup sweepers here, give examples, and say that if Mega Sharpedo is taking on a wallbreaking role that they heavily appreciate its ability to weaken opposing teams for them.

Other Options
* Say in your line regarding the mixed set that it cuts into Sharpedo's physical wallbreaking prowess heavily.
* Say in the Earthquake and Poison Jab lines that neither are preferable due to providing inferior coverage overall.

Checks and Counters
* Fix the spacing here. There should be an entire space between each section, otherwise it looks messy.
* Add in a section on bulky Dark-types and use Umbreon and Mandibuzz as your examples. Say that while not too relevant, Umbreon can stall out Sharpedo with Wish and Protect and Mandibuzz can take two Ice Fangs without Stealth Rock down, stalling Sharpedo out with Toxic.

Make sure all of this gets implemented. QC 1/3 afterward.

Mention mlix in the waterfall line since that's the best way it can hit the pkmn

Emphasize spikes support more in set details because shark really likes em (possibly give it its own point) and mention that a couple layers of spikes lets it ohko stuff like prima and 2hko stuff like coba

Usage Tips
  • Add to the line about bringing it in on something weak so it can get a Speed Boost that it's especially important if running Adamant so you're not outsped by Scarf Krook and Hydreigon
  • I'd include that Shark can be used in a more wallbreaking role if the opposing team is well-prepared, given that you mention other setup sweepers in team options that appreciate Shark breaking shit down
Really not too much to add, great job, QC 3/3
