Cloyster @ Normalium Z
Ability: Skill Link
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpA / 252 Spe
Naughty Nature
- Shell Smash
- Icicle Spear
- Hydro Pump
- Explosion

This set is on the edge of falling into the category of standard, but in practice it works as an extremely effective lure as 99% of the time opponents will try to check Cloyster with Milotic. Not much to the set, just smash and you have a better than 50 chance to OHKO after rocks (worst case scenario you kill Milotic and sweep ends/ best is you get the roll and can continue to sweep). You can even set up on milotic with this if you're feeling particularly lucky.

+2 252+ Atk Cloyster Breakneck Blitz (200 BP) vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Milotic: 322-379 (81.7 - 96.1%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery

Samurott @ Lum Berry / Buginium Z
Ability: Torrent
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Swords Dance
- Liquidation
- Taunt
- Megahorn

The idea when I built this set was to break bulky waters that usually switch to counter Feraligatr and standard Samurott which has the same C&C; mainly Haze Milotic, Quagsire and Pyukumuku. This set helps against Milotic balance teams and Stall matchups. The plan its to Sword Dance then Taunt into Haze or Recover/Toxic. Taunt also helps to prevent Defog from slower stuff like Gligar and Florges, which helps to keep momentum in the game preventing any non-offensive move (imaginate a late game when you have Samurott at 20% against a 100% Doublade which can sweep your entire team after SD) and hazard control (prevents defog and hazards). About the item, Lum Berry is more consistent against Scald burns and Toxic, Lum Berry means you can switch into Milotic without risks to get burned. Buginium Z in case you dont run another Z item will help you to break Chesnaught easier and hits harder Milotic with perfect acc.

This set its specially good with Sticky Web since I'm not running Aqua Jet, Taunt will help you to keep Sticky Web in the opposite field.

+2 252 Atk Samurott Megahorn vs. 252 HP / 136+ Def Milotic: 206-243 (52.2 - 61.6%) -- 97.7% chance to 2HKO after Leftovers recovery
+2 252 Atk Samurott Savage Spin-Out (190 BP) vs. 252 HP / 136+ Def Milotic: 325-383 (82.4 - 97.2%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery

I really wanted to post one of SD Gatr, Normalium Cloyster or Trapper Araq, but in all honesty, neither of the aforementioned sets are lures, given that they are all standard sets. Instead, Moltres was chosen.
smh ppl voting for standard sets

The obvious choice has to be Samurott, bc 1: the set is hot and 2: look at reason #1

Voting period is up! The winners of this week is Taunt Samurott! No other set recieved votes (Z-Explode Cloyster isn't exactly a lure, although it received 1 vote). New threat coming soon (tm).

It got two votes, and since no one uses the set, and it "lures" Milotic in 99% of the time I would argue otherwise. S/outs to when spider trap araquandid was voted in as the best Mantine lure. Samurott is definetely heat tho, grats.

Week 20: Physically Defensive Mandibuzz

Mandibuzz @ Rocky Helmet / Leftovers
Ability: Overcoat
EVs: 252 HP / 64 Def / 188 Spe
Bold Nature
- Roost
- Foul Play / Knock Off
- Taunt
- Toxic / Defog / U-turn
Definitely the best mon we've been graced with dropping to RU in a long time. Nobody wants to give me a definite spread, so this spread tries to just overall be physically bulky. Taunt/Toxic to let Mandi act as a Stallbreaker is (from my observations) Mandibuzz's most common/useful set, although it can function OK as a Defogger. Speed lets you creep stuff creeping Jolly Bewear (Cress/Gligar if they're nuts/Florges) so you can properly Taunt/Toxic them, Rocky Helmet lets you beat Regi/M Steelix better, rest is put into bulk.

close to me (Necrozma) @ Rockium Z
Ability: Prism Armor
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Swords Dance
- Photon Geyser
- Earthquake
- Stone Edge

rockium z is a pretty simple concept here -- it cleanly ohkos every mandibuzz variant at +2, and necrozma has enough speed to outspeed all but essentially max+ speed mandibuzz, so it will basically never get popped by a foul play.

+2 252 Atk Necrozma Continental Crush (180 BP) vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Mandibuzz: 476-562 (112.2 - 132.5%) -- even max def can't take one.

it also just happens to still nail umbreon after a bit of prior chip and ensures pressure moltres can't pp stall you, so it's not solely for mandi either.
+2 252 Atk Necrozma Continental Crush (180 BP) vs. 252 HP / 4 Def Umbreon: 314-370 (79.6 - 93.9%) -- 43.8% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock

Tsareena (F) @ Fairium Z
Ability: Queenly Majesty
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Power Whip
- Play Rough
- Knock Off
- Rapid Spin

Normally pdef Mandi would be able to switch into Tsareena fearlesly as it takes more from sr than from either Power Whip or Knock Off. However with with this set, this Mandi spread is taken out by a Play Rough and a Twinkle Tackle. If rocks are up, then it's even KO'd by a Power Whip into Twinkle Tackle. Also f giving Virizion free setup opportunities.

252 Atk Tsareena Play Rough vs. 252 HP / 64+ Def Mandibuzz: 152-180 (35.8 - 42.4%) -- guaranteed 3HKO

252 Atk Tsareena Twinkle Tackle (175 BP) vs. 252 HP / 64+ Def Mandibuzz: 296-350 (69.8 - 82.5%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

252 Atk Tsareena Power Whip vs. 252 HP / 64+ Def Mandibuzz: 76-90 (17.9 - 21.2%) -- possible 5HKO

Meloetta @ Electrium Z
Ability: Serene Grace
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Psychic
- Thunder
- Calm Mind
- Focus Blast

This is a pretty cool set that I saw in SPL recently and thought it would be perfect for this. Meloetta is usually walled by mandibuzz with its standard Fightinium Z set. But this set lures it for a huge chunk of damage after a CM. Even if you burn your z, thunder does a lot after a calm mind

+1 252 SpA Meloetta Gigavolt Havoc (185 BP) vs. 252 HP / 4 SpD Mandibuzz: 622-732 (146.6 - 172.6%) -- guaranteed OHKO after Leftovers recovery

Decidueye @ Rockium Z
Ability: Overgrow
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Swords Dance
- Leaf Blade
- Spirit Shackle
- Smack Down

This is like the only way decidueye can damage mandibuzz(and it's still bad), Z-Smack Down becomes 100 bp(one time stone edge) and does a decent chunk to mandibuzz, you still need rocks/chip to 1hko it (high chance) and you need to be at +2 so you have to SD on the switch, which isn't hard. Some stall teams are changing umbreon to mandibuzz so not running grassinium isn't the worse thing.

+2 252 Atk Decidueye Continental Crush (100 BP) vs. 252 HP / 64+ Def Mandibuzz: 312-368 (73.5 - 86.7%) -- 87.5% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock and Leftovers recovery

Hoopa @ Electrium Z
Ability: Magician
EVs: 248 SpA / 8 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Shadow Ball
- Focus Blast
- Thunderbolt
- Nasty Plot / Substitute

Hoopa is usually walled by Mandibuzz even after a Nasty Plot, so Thunderbolt comes in play to kill it in one single blow. Although you could use Fightinium Z to keep dual STAB on the tbolt slot, it needs prior dmg or nasty plot boost.

248 SpA Hoopa Gigavolt Havoc (175 BP) vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Mandibuzz: 442-520 (104.2 - 122.6%) -- guaranteed OHKO after Leftovers recovery

Another aspect of the choice that makes tbolt a cool option is making it capable of beating Pokémon such as Milotic and Araquanid which usually would wall it completely and actually forcing Blastoise out as a spinblocker.

Actually the z crystal isn't consumed if u use
The z move so Magician does not work

Bruxish @ Waterium Z
Ability: Strong Jaw
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly / Adamant Nature
- Swords Dance
- Psychic Fangs
- Aqua Tail
- Aqua Jet / Crunch

Here's a pretty cool Bruxish set! After a Swords Dance you OHKO Mandibuzz after Stealth Rock, with a Jolly or Adamant nature. You do lose out on extra power with Psychic Fangs sadly, but you don't have to worry about Life Orb damage and you get an extra little nuke in Z-Aqua Tail, while also being able to bluff Choice Band.

+2 252 Atk Bruxish Hydro Vortex (175 BP) vs. 252 HP / 64+ Def Mandibuzz: 403-475 (95 - 112%) -- 68.8% chance to OHKO after Leftovers recovery
+2 252+ Atk Bruxish Hydro Vortex (175 BP) vs. 252 HP / 64+ Def Mandibuzz: 442-522 (104.2 - 123.1%) -- guaranteed OHKO after Leftovers recovery
