Nihilego @ Focus Sash
Ability: Beast Boost
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Mirror Coat

Stabs get beat by Magearna's typing, fillers it runs usually do jack shit which makes Mirror Coat seem gud since it can tank a flash cannon or whatever then fire back with mirror coat.

Gengar @ Ghostium Z
Ability: Cursed Body
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Knock Off
- Shadow Ball
- Focus Blast
- Sludge Wave

A healthy AV Magearna is generally able to come in on Gengar without much fear due to its stellar special bulk. However, Gengar is able to cripple it with Knock Off and then proceed to dent it or one of its teammates with Never-Ending Nightmare, which doesn't necessarily KO it, but it leaves Magearna unhealthy and without its specially defensive safety net to fall back on, leaving it unable to consistently check things later on in the match.

252 SpA Choice Specs Gengar Shadow Ball vs. 200 HP / 252+ SpD Assault Vest Magearna: 85-102 (24.2 - 29%) -- 99.3% chance to 4HKO
252 SpA Gengar Never-Ending Nightmare (160 BP) vs. 200 HP / 252+ SpD Magearna: 171-202 (48.7 - 57.5%) -- 95.7% chance to 2HKO

Voting for EQ Latios
Sorry, am busy with other stuff as you can probably tell by how long it took me to update this.

Also matthewc20090 be sure to write up your nomination if you still wanna submit it.
Can you specify KOff+Ghostium rather than just Ghostium 'cause the move is, like, the whole reason why it functions as a lure at all

DeathByWobbuffet was busy or something, so I am putting this up for y'all.

Physically Defensive Toxapex

THAPEX @ Black Sludge / Shed Shell
Ability: Regenerator
EVs: 248 HP / 196 Def / 64 SpD
Impish Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Scald
- Toxic Spikes
- Haze
- Recover

Toxapex is a top tier threat because it sits there, sets up Toxic Spikes, and it makes people ragequit since it lives wild moves like Mega Swampert's Earthquake and proceeds to burn you back. It can even Infestation trap Pokemon such as Mew and end them with Toxic, but talking about such a set is disrespectful to the face of OU. My apologies lord Toxapex.

The rules are the same. No memes. No hostile responses. And no Dugtrio.

Cheryl.

Celesteela is Life
greninja-ash.gif

Greninja-Ash @ Choice Specs
Ability: Battle Bond
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Hydro Pump
- Water Shuriken
- Dark Pulse
- Extrasensory

While ESense is already sort of a thing on Protean Greninja sets, it isn't really seen as much on Ash Gren, so this set functions as a pretty nice lure to Toxapex. Even without the Battle Bond transformation, Extrasensory 2HKOs Toxapex (or well has a 92% chance to w/o hazards because Pex is broken lol), which is really nice for partners such as Gengar who have trouble breaking through Pex, while also helping Gren out on its own by breaking through one of the few switchins to it. ESense Ash-Gren is also nice for Keldeo and Mega Venusaur switchins, which makes this move choice not quite as situational as it would be if it were used just for Toxapex. This set works well with hazards of course to wear down Pex even further with ESense.

252 SpA Choice Specs Greninja Extrasensory vs. 252 HP / 64 SpD Toxapex: 158-186 (51.9 - 61.1%) -- 92.6% chance to 2HKO after Black Sludge recovery
252 SpA Choice Specs Greninja Extrasensory vs. 252 HP / 64 SpD Toxapex: 158-186 (51.9 - 61.1%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock and Black Sludge recovery
252 SpA Choice Specs Greninja-Ash Extrasensory vs. 252 HP / 64 SpD Toxapex: 208-246 (68.4 - 80.9%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock and Black Sludge recovery

Thunderbolt Gengar

Gengar @ Life Orb
Ability: Cursed Body
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Shadow Ball
- Sludge Wave
- Will-O-Wisp/Focus Blast
- Thunderbolt

252 SpA Life Orb Gengar Thunderbolt vs. 248 HP / 64 SpD Toxapex: 179-213 (59 - 70.2%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Black Sludge recovery
252 SpA Life Orb Gengar Thunderbolt vs. 252 HP / 24 SpD Suicune: 221-263 (54.7 - 65%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery
252 SpA Life Orb Gengar Thunderbolt vs. +1 252 HP / 24 SpD Suicune: 148-177 (36.6 - 43.8%) -- 99.3% chance to 3HKO after Leftovers recovery
252 SpA Life Orb Gengar Thunderbolt vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Celesteela: 182-216 (45.7 - 54.2%) -- 95.3% chance to 2HKO after Stealth Rock and Leftovers recovery
252 SpA Life Orb Gengar Thunderbolt vs. 248 HP / 252+ SpD Skarmory: 231-273 (69.3 - 81.9%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
252 SpA Life Orb Gengar Thunderbolt vs. 40 HP / 252 SpD Alomomola: 320-377 (66.5 - 78.3%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Leftovers recovery

Thunderbolt is a great option for getting past some monsters, which could otherwise be good checks/counters to Gengar

* Celesteela
* Toxapex
* Suicune with the aid of 1 layer of hazards
* SpD Skarmory
* The pink fish Alomomola

Heatran @ Groundium Z
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Magma Storm
- Earth Power
- Stealt Rock / Taunt / Toxic / Will-O-Wisp
- Stealth Rock / Substitute / Toxic / Will-O-Wisp

Groundium Z Tran isn't anything new, but it has kinda fallen under the radar recently in favor of other sets like SubToxic or even just general offensive utility sets alongside other Z move users. Groundium Z takes advantage of Toxapex's tendency to switch into Heatran by trapping it on the switch-in with Magma Storm and proceeding to eliminate it with Tectonic Rage. The set just functions as a general way of nuking other 'mons when Pex isn't there to be targetted too, so it isn't exactly dead weight outside of that.

Volcarona (F) @ Psychium Z
Ability: Flame Body
EVs: 40 HP / 252 SpA / 216 Spe
IVs: 0 Atk / 30 SpA / 30 SpD
Timid Nature (+Spe, -Atk)
- Quiver Dance
- Fire Blast
- Psychic
- Hidden Power [Ground]

A pretty old set, nevertheless, teams relying solely on thapex as their fire resist & Volcarona check will find it impossible to deal with this set.

252 SpA Volcarona Psychic vs. 252 HP / 64 SpD Toxapex: 144-170 (47.3 - 55.9%) -- 19.9% chance to 2HKO after Black Sludge recovery
252 SpA Volcarona Shattered Psyche (175 BP) vs. 252 HP / 64 SpD Toxapex: 276-326 (90.7 - 107.2%) -- guaranteed OHKO after Stealth Rock

+1 252 SpA Volcarona Psychic vs. 252 HP / 64 SpD Toxapex: 214-252 (70.3 - 82.8%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Black Sludge recovery
+1 252 SpA Volcarona Shattered Psyche (175 BP) vs. 252 HP / 64 SpD Toxapex: 412-486 (135.5 - 159.8%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Choice Specs Primarina

Primarina @ Choice Specs
Ability: Torrent
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Hydro Pump
- Moonblast
- Psychic
- Hidden Power [Fire]

Toxapex is the perfect switch in to Primarina, right?! Resists Primarina's Water- and Fairy-type STABs and has great Special Bulk even when running a physically inclined set. The thing is, Primarina gets Psychic, hitting Toxapex Super Effectively and easily 2HKOing:

252+ SpA Choice Specs Primarina Psychic vs. 252 HP / 64 SpD Toxapex: 224-264 (73.6 - 86.8%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Black Sludge recovery

Primarina can predict Toxapex on a switch or simply switch into Toxapex, as Poison-type Moves on Toxapex are nonexistent (for a good reason). I guess you can say that Primarina isn't really luring Toxapex, but the thing is, Primarina is such an uncommon (yet underrated) Pokémon, that most unaware people don't even check if it gets Psychic. Also, Toxapex generally doesn't have many Water resisting teammates. The only notable one being AV Tangrowth, or Ferrothorn. Speaking of them:

252+ SpA Choice Specs Primarina Moonblast vs. 252 HP / 252+ SpD Assault Vest Tangrowth: 181-214 (44.8 - 52.9%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock
252+ SpA Choice Specs Primarina Hidden Power Fire vs. 252 HP / 168 SpD Ferrothorn: 324-384 (92 - 109%) -- 87.5% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock
