NU Gallade revamp

[OVERVIEW]

With a great STAB combination, great coverage options, and access to Swords Dance, Gallade differentiates itself from other Fighting-type wallbreakers by being able to beat many traditional checks to Fighting-types like Slowking, Weezing, and Dhelmise with its Psychic-type moves and Knock Off. It also has usable special bulk, giving it setup opportunities against Pokemon like Blastoise and defensive Decidueye. However, Gallade is outsped by many threats like Vivillon and Rotom because of its average Speed, and it cannot take even resisted physical hits like Passimian's Close Combat safely due to its lackluster bulk. Additionally, a Psychic / Fighting typing is quite bad defensively, making Gallade neutral to Dark while still having the same weaknesses as other Fighting-types. Being neutral to Dark also makes Gallade unable to switch into Dark-type attacks safely to utilize its ability Justified. Aside from this, other Fighting-types give it competition by providing better utility for the team, like U-turn from Passimian and priority from Pangoro. Scrafty also has higher overall bulk and better abilities in Shed Skin, which allows it to set up without fear of status, and Moxie, which allows it to snowball and sweep.

Moves
========

Swords Dance allows Gallade to break through defensive Pokemon like Slowking and Palossand more easily. Close Combat is Gallade's strongest STAB move, doing a good chunk of damage to non-resistant Pokemon like Blastoise and Druddigon. Psycho Cut nails Poison-types like Weezing and Garbodor and is chosen over Zen Headbutt because it has better accuracy and does not make contact, meaning Rocky Helmet and Aftermath will not be activated. Knock Off complements Gallade's STAB moves and hits Psychic-types for a decent amount of damage. Shadow Sneak can be used alongside Ghostium Z to provide similar coverage to Knock Off and helps Gallade pick off weakened checks like Rotom and Sigilyph. It also bypasses Colbur Berry, which is often held by Psychic- and Ghost-types. However, it has less power than Shattered Psyche.

Set Details
========

Maximum Attack and Speed investment alongside a Jolly nature maximizes Gallade's offensive capabilities. Psychium Z gives Gallade a one-time nuke, breaking through Pokemon like Palossand and Dhelmise. Alternatively, Life Orb boosts all of Gallade's attacks without the opportunity cost of the Z-Crystal slot, but it allows Pokemon like Delphox and Sneasel to revenge kill Gallade more easily due to recoil and stat drops from Close Combat. Justified is only really useful against Passimian locked into Knock Off and if Gallade is holding a Z-Crystal, as most Dark-type attacks are able to severely damage Gallade or straight up KO it, although it is still Gallade's best ability.

Usage Tips
========

Spam Knock Off early-game to weaken the opposing team. Gallade's switch-ins all dislike taking a Knock Off; for example, Whimsicott is more threatening with Choice Specs, and Ghost-types may be unable to stop Gallade's sweep late-game if they have already lost their Colbur Berry. You should also note that Gallade is rather frail and does not have any useful resistances, so it is best to bring it in through VoltTurn users so it has enough health to wallbreak or set up a Swords Dance. Aside from that, Gallade should also avoid any status effects, as they compromise Gallade's ability to sweep and wear it down even quicker. Gallade does well against bulkier teams, as it has a Speed advantage, giving it more opportunities to set up Swords Dance and making it harder to revenge kill. Against offensive teams, however, Gallade should focus on spamming its attacks to soften up the opposing team for its teammates, as they struggle to take Gallade's hits safely even without any boosts. You can also use Gallade's Speed and type advantage to revenge kill Pokemon like Swords Dance Incineroar and Rhydon, although Gallade cannot come in on these threats.

Team Options
========

Pokemon such as Steelix and Rhydon can check Flying-types for Gallade, while Weezing and Garbodor, as well as Steelix, can handle Fairy-types. All four can support Gallade in wallbreaking via entry hazard support. Fairy-types like Comfey and Whimsicott are also good partners; Comfey appreciates Gallade's ability to weaken or eliminate Steel- and Poison-types so it can sweep more easily late-game, while Whimsicott is able to U-turn out of Steel- and Poison-types and bring in Gallade. Dark-types can threaten Ghost-types for Gallade, allowing it to spam Close Combat more freely. Some of them like Swords Dance Incineroar can form a powerful wallbreaking core with Gallade. Pivots such as Heliolisk, Rotom, Choice Scarf Togedemaru, and Whimsicott are great for bringing in Gallade safely. One can opt for a Wish user like Vaporeon or Delphox to heal up Gallade and give it more wallbreaking opportunities. Additionally, Vaporeon can provide Heal Bell support, while Delphox can check Fairy-types and appreciates Gallade keeping Rock- and Dark-types in check offensively.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============

Thunder Punch with Electrium Z can be used, as Thunder Punch provides decent neutral coverage alongside Gallade's STAB moves, hitting Pokemon like Xatu, Sigilyph, and Slowking, although it worsens Gallade's matchup against Palossand and Dhelmise. Choice Scarf may seem appealing to Gallade, allowing it to KO most fast targets with its powerful attacks and support sweepers like Incineroar, Vivillon, and Mismagius via Memento support, but it forces Gallade to KO itself. It also faces fierce competition from Passimian, the most common Choice Scarf user in the tier, which is slightly bulkier and has access to U-turn, and Medicham, which is much stronger than Gallade thanks to Pure Power. Z-Hypnosis is also an interesting option, which enables Gallade to circumvent its average Speed while still being able to switch moves. However, Gallade will have to give up a coverage option or Swords Dance, which reduces Gallade's wallbreaking abilities and makes it generally an undesirable option.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Psychic-types**: Slowking, Xatu, and Delphox all resist Gallade's STAB combination, although none of them enjoy taking a super effective Knock Off. Slowking and Xatu can stomach one unboosted Knock Off from full health, while Delphox can revenge kill Gallade, although it requires Gallade to be at around 50% health to do so.

**Ghost-types**: Although most of them are pressured by Gallade's powerful moves, Rotom and Mismagius can revenge kill it with Shadow Ball. Palossand is hugely pressured by Gallade's Z-Moves and the threat of Knock Off, but it can stomach any move at +2 and use Shadow Ball on Gallade.

**Fairy-types**: Comfey and Whimsicott will usually force Gallade out, as they always outspeed Gallade, are able to deal huge damage with their STAB moves, and can survive any hit from unboosted Gallade, although Comfey fails to properly take on +2 Gallade one-on-one without prior damage or Special Defense drops from Close Combat.

**Flying-types**: Aerodactyl, Sigilyph, and Vivillon cannot directly switch in, as they take a lot of damage from Gallade's attacks but can all outspeed and OHKO it with their powerful Flying-type STAB moves. Vivillon can also outspeed Gallade and use Sleep Powder on it, giving it a free opportunity to set up Quiver Dance.

**Faster Pokemon**: There are many Pokemon that outspeed Gallade aside from the aforementioned Fairy- and Flying-types, such as Heliolisk, Sneasel, and Delphox. While none of them can OHKO Gallade without prior damage or Close Combat defense drops, they can all take a large chunk of its health away.

[OVERVIEW]
*With decent special bulk and a great STAB combination, Gallade differentiates itself from other Fighting-types by being able to beat many typical checks to Fighting-types like Poison- and Psychic-types with its STAB Psychic moves and Knock Off.
*It has access to Swords Dance and a wide range of coverage moves, which is another factor in helping it break through Psychic-types and a reason to use over Medicham.
combine these two bullets but leave out the bit about special bulk. I want you to start this off by talking about how Gallade is a good wallbreaker because of its good coverage between its STAB attacks and potential coverage options and Swords Dance. these things combined let it break through traditional Fighting-type checks. you should also give some specific examples of things that Gallade breaks.
*However, Gallade has rather average Speed and lackluster physical bulk, being outsped by many threats like Vivillon and Rotom. ok we are not going to mention Gallade's poor physical bulk and then not list any physical attackers that threaten it.
*While a Psychic / Fighting STAB combination may be good, it does not complement Gallade defensively, leaving it still vulnerable to other common Fighting answers like Fairy- and Flying-types, and makes it neutral to Dark, meaning it cannot switch into Dark-type attacks safely, thus making its ability Justified rather niche. this phrasing needs rewording; it's very clunky.
*Alongside this, other Fighting-types give it competition by providing better utility for the team, like U-turn from Passimian or priority from Medicham and Pangoro. Many other Fighting-types, like Medicham and Sawk, can also OHKO Pangoro through Chople Berry. remove the second sentence; this is entirely too specific of something to mention. if anything, you could talk about how Medicham and Sawk have more immediate power than Gallade, but let's be real here: Sawk is trash. I'd rather see you talk about Scrafty in some manner.

Moves
========
*Swords Dance boosts Gallade's attack, allowing it to break through defensive Pokemon more easily. what Pokemon does Swords Dance let Gallade beat
*Close Combat is Gallade's strongest STAB move, doing a good chunk of damage to non-resistant Pokemon. examples please.
*Psycho Cut nails Poison-types like Weezing and Garbador, and is chosen over Zen Headbutt as it does not make contact, meaning Rocky Helmet and Aftermath will not affect Gallade when using Psycho Cut. it's also chosen for its accuracy.
*Knock Off complements Gallade's STAB moves and hits Psychic-types for a decent amount of damage. It's also a great attacking move in general as it removes items and scouts for Z-Crystals. unless you're gonna note a specific item that Knock Off removes that Gallade appreciates being removed, there is no real need to spew out this dex information. the important part is that Knock Off gives you perfect coverage.
*Shadow Sneak is a priority move that can be used to pick off weakened checks like Rotom and Sigilyph, but its damage output is much less than Knock Off and makes the matchup against Xatu a bit worse, and is even weaker than Close Combat when against Pokemon like Slowking. but you're only using Shadow Sneak alongside Ghostium Z anyway, so your matchup isn't really worsened that much considering you just smack them with Never-Ending Nightmare. what I want done here is to word this bullet around how Shadow Sneak can be used alongside Ghostium Z to provide similar coverage to Knock Off with the added benefit of giving Gallade a priority move to help against certain threats (list some). you should then note how this Z-Move lacks the power of Z-Psycho Cut and how reliant this set is on using the Z-Move properly.

Set Details
========
*Maximum Attack and Speed investment alongside a Jolly nature maximizes Gallade's offensive capabilities.
*Psychium Z gives Gallade a one-time nuke, breaking through Pokemon like Palossand and Druddigon. Druddigon just dies to +2 CC; mention Dhelmise instead.
*Life Orb boosts all of Gallade's attacks, but comes at the cost of making Gallade worn down very quickly. I'd focus this more around how Life Orb lacks the opportunity cost of the Z-Crystal but recoil combined with CC defense drops means Gallade is more at risk of being revenge killed by shit like Delphox and Sneasel.
*Ghostium Z with Shadow Sneak is an option to break through Ghost-types like Dhelmise and Decidueye, which often bring a Colbur Berry to take a Knock Off and retaliate with a powerful Ghost-type STAB move. not really needed to mention here considering I am making you mention it in the Moves section.
*Justified allows Gallade to take advantage of Knock Off from Pokemon like Passimian, especially when holding a Z-Crystal, but Dark-types like Incineroar and Pangoro can OHKO Gallade with a Malicious Moonsault and Knock Off respectively. this ability is pretty much useless in every case, so I get that it's gonna be hard to find uses to mention for it. I'd pretty much note right at the beginning that Justified only really has niche application but lets Gallade take advantage of Passimian locked into Knock Off.

Usage Tips
========
this seems to be written more as though Gallade is a setup sweeper, which it really isn't; it's a wallbreaker. I'm gonna see what I can do with the information you have, but you'll need to overhaul this a fair bit.

*Spam Knock Off early-game to weaken the opposing team. Even resists to Dark dislike taking Knock Off due to its ability to remove items or scout for whether it is holding a Z-Crystal. Eh, reword this to talk about how Gallade's switch-ins all suck at taking Knock Off. You're not gonna ever pivot a Dark-resistant into Gallade anyhow.
*Despite its decent special bulk, Gallade is often forced out against offensive teams due to its low speed and bad physical bulk, meaning Pokemon like Sneasel, Aerodactyl, and Comfey can take advantage of that and come in to throw off a powerful hit. This means you should get rid of or slow down faster Pokemon with paralysis before attempting to set up a Swords Dance and sweep. remove, you already talk about how to work against offensive teams later in this section, and tbh the information here is sorta misleading anyhow.
*You should also note that Gallade has no recovery at all, so it is best to bring it in through VoltTurn users like Heliolisk or Togedemaru. it's more because Gallade is frail as fuck and lacks good resistances. you're more just trying to get it onto the field with enough health to (use Sword Dance and) wallbreak
*Aside from that, Gallade should also avoid any status effects, as they compromise Gallade's ability to sweep and wear it down even quicker.
*It does well against more bulkier teams, forcing many switches against teams that use Poison-types as their main Fighting check, and being able to break through other bulky Pokemon with Swords Dance. reword this to make mention of how against bulkier teams Gallade's Speed advantage affords it more opportunity to Swords Dance up given it won't be at as great a risk of being revenge killed.
*Against offensive teams, however, Gallade should focus on spamming its attacks to soften up the opposing team for its teammates, as they struggle to take Gallade's hits safely even without any boosts. You can also use Gallade's speed and type advantage to keep Pokemon like Swords Dance Incineroar and offensive Garbador in check. offensive Garbodor is just such a meh example. I'd prefer something actually threatening to get a mention here.

Team Options
========
something about how Gallade fits more on builds that can support it well defensively.
*Pokemon that can check Fairy- or Flying-types like Comfey, Vivillon, and Whimsicott, like Steelix, Rhydon, Weezing, and Garbador, are Gallade's good friends. The former two can also set up Stealth Rock, while the latter two can set up Toxic Spikes and Garbador can set up Spikes to wear down Gallade's checks. Weezing and Garbador can also deal with physically offensive threats and chip them down with Rocky Helmet and Aftermath. Ok I'm going to just type out how I want this sentence written because as is it's incredibly jank. "Pokemon such as Steelix and Rhydon can check Flying-types for Gallade, while Weezing and Garbodor as well as Steelix can handle Fairy-types. All four can support Gallade in wallbreaking via entry hazard support."
*Fairy-types like Comfey and Whimsicott of your own are also good partners, as they can lure in Poison- and Steel-types for Gallade and greatly appreciate Knock Off support. "lure in" implies they're gonna beat them somehow. "draw in" gets across what you want here I think. I also don't really see how either of them appreciates Knock Off support more than any other Pokemon in the tier.
*Dark-types can threaten Ghost-types for Gallade, and Sneasel in particular can force the Ghost-type to consume its Colbur Berry by Pursuit trapping them. Some of them like Swords Dance Incineroar can form a powerful wallbreaking core with Gallade.
*Pokemon that do well against offensive teams like Heliolisk, Sneasel, and Whimsicott, as well as Choice Scarf users like Passimian and Rotom partner well with Gallade. Heliolisk, Whimsicott, Passimian, and Rotom also act as a pivot to bring Gallade in through VoltTurn. just reword this to talk about pivots in general. remove Passimian and replace with Togedemaru.
*An additional Fighting-type like Passimian that appreciates Poison- and Psychic-types weakened can form a core with Gallade to break through shared checks in Flying- and Fairy-types. remove, I personally don't see many worlds in which I'm not partnering Gallade with Togedemaru as my Choice Scarf user.
*Specially offensive Pokemon also like Gallade's ability to remove Leftovers, Assault Vest, or Eviolite from Pokemon to make them more threatening. These include Magmortar, Sigilyph, and Sceptile. remove, this is really generic stuff and I don't actually see many lines in which any of this matters/happens.
*On more balanced teams, one can opt for a WishPasser like Vaporeon or Delphox to heal up Gallade and allow you to play Gallade more recklessly. Vaporeon can weaken foes with Scald or Toxic and Delphox can check threats like Comfey and appreciate Gallade keeping Dark-types in check offensively. remove the "on more balanced teams" stuff and just talk about how Wish support gives Gallade more opportunities to wallbreak. you can also mention the stuff Delphox does defensively for Gallade and what it appreciates Gallade doing for it.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============
*Choice Band is an option to prevent Life Orb recoil, but locking Gallade into a move is quite horrible as the opponent will be able to play around Gallade more easily with their Poison- and Dark-type Pokemon. no, delete.
*Other coverage moves like Thunder Punch with Electrium Z, Leaf Blade, and Poison Jab may seem appealing to Gallade, but Thunder Punch is quite situational and makes Gallade even more vulnerable to the 4 Ghost-types in the tier, Leaf Blade is redundant as Knock Off + Close Combat alongside either of its items can already break through most of its targets, and Poison Jab's target pool is even smaller and can only be used when a Fairy-type is predicted to come in. remove Leaf Blade and Poison Jab but keep Thunder Punch + Electrium Z. note how it worsens the Palossand matchup.
*Choice Scarf may seem appealing to Gallade to improve its Speed, but it faces immense competition from Passimian, which basically does everything better as it can punish stat drops from Defog or Sticky Web with Defiant and act as a pivot with U-turn. I'm ok with this staying, but you need to address the actual reason to use Choice Scarf Gallade.
*A Substitute + Bulk Up set can take advantage of Gallade's decent special bulk and use Bulk Up to increase its physical bulk, but there are many Pokemon in the tier that simply ignores Substitute, like Heliolisk's Hyper Voice, Golbat and Whimsicott's Infiltrator, and Accelgor's Bug Buzz. remove, really bad set that defeats the purpose of using Gallade.

Checks and Counters
===================
**PSYCHIC-TYPES**: THEY RESIST STAB ATTACKS AND STUFF

**Fairy-types**: Comfey and Whimsicott always outspeed Gallade and deal huge damage with their STAB moves. They can survive any hit from unboosted Gallade provided it doesn't have Poison Jab, or force Gallade out if it decides to Swords Dance while they hard switch into the field. we're not gonna mention shit move Poison Jab down here. Comfey doesn't really force out a full health Gallade, although it can threaten to revenge kill after some chip or CC defense drops.

**Flying-types**: Aerodactyl, Sigilyph, and Vivillon cannot directly switch in as they take a lot of damage from Gallade's attacks, but can all outspeed and OHKO Gallade with their powerful Flying-type STAB move. Vivillon can also use Gallade as setup fodder. I would explicitly state that Vivillon outspeeds and thus can put Gallade to sleep with Sleep Powder because as this reads I get the impression that I can just Quiver Dance up in front of a Gallade.

**Ghost-types**: While most of them are generally threatened by Knock Off, Dhelmise, Rotom, and Decidueye often bring Colbur Berry, allowing them to absorb a Knock Off and throw off a huge hit on Gallade. Rotom naturally outspeeds Gallade and can burn it with Will-O-Wisp or weaken it with Shadow Ball, although it will not OHKO without prior damage. Rocky Helmet Palossand is able to stomach most hits aside from Life Orb-boosted Knock Off from +2 Gallade and deal over 50% damage with Shadow Ball. move this above the Fairy-types bit. offensive Decidueye variants just drop to unboosted Shattered Psyche after Stealth Rock, while bulky variants and Dhelmise die to +2, so them not dropping to Knock Off is fairly irrelevant. Choice Specs Rotom is a good set that OHKOes Gallade with Shadow Ball. Z-Move Gallade threatens Rocky Helmet Palossand rather effectively as well, so not sure if specifying Life Orb is the play.

**Faster Pokemon**: There are many Pokemon that outspeed Gallade aside from the aforementioned Fairy- and Flying-types like Heliolisk, Sneasel, and Delphox. While none of them can OHKO Gallade without prior damage, they can all take a large chunk of Gallade's health away. they threaten to revenge kill Gallade after CC defense drops. mention that imo.

*Fairy-types like Comfey and Whimsicott of your own are also good partners, as they can draw in Poison- and Steel-types for Gallade. I think a better way to flesh this out would be to talk about how whimsi can get gallade in vs poisons and steels with uturn while comfey appreciates gallade smacking these so that it can sweep more easily late-game

*Other coverage moves like Thunder Punch with Electrium Z may seem appealing to Gallade, but Thunder Punch is quite situational and worsens Gallade's matchup against Palossand eh you don't need to paint this in that negative of a light; thunder punch provides pretty good neutral coverage overall, hitting shit like xatu, sigi, slowking for se damage while still netting neutral on delphox. can keep the mention about how z tpunch worsens the palo matchup tho.
*Choice Scarf may seem appealing to Gallade give it the role of a revenge killer with Memento to give a teammate a free switch-in, but it faces immense competition from Passimian, which does it better as it can punish stat drops from Defog or Sticky Web with Defiant and act as a pivot with U-turn without having to sacrifice itself. feel like this doesn't rly talk about what scarf does all too well; should be talking about how it lets gallade support sweepers via memento support (note certain ones that u'd likely get in given what switches into gallade).

Checks and Counters
===================
**Psychic-types**: Slowking, Xatu, and Delphox all resist Gallade's STAB combination, although none of them enjoy taking a super effective Knock Off. Slowking and Xatu can stomach at most 1 unboosted Knock Off from full, while Delphox and Choice Scarf Medicham can revenge kill Gallade. choice scarf medi is no set, and delphox struggles to revenge kill gallade, so prob give a qualifier to that

**Ghost-types**: Although most of them are pressured by Gallade's powerful moves, Decidueye is able to deal decent damage with Shadow Sneak and Rotom can revenge kill it with Shadow Ball. Palossand is hugely pressured by Gallade's Z-Moves and the threat of Knock Off, but it can stomach any move at +2 and use Shadow Ball on Gallade. shadow sneak decidueye in 2019 omegalul

**Fairy-types**: Comfey and Whimsicott always outspeed Gallade and deal huge damage with their STAB moves, although Comfey fails to properly 1v1 a +2 Gallade without prior damage or defensive stat drops from Close Combat. *It also has a usable special bulk, allowing it setup opportunities against Pokemon like Blastoise and defensive Decidueye.
*However, Gallade is outsped by many threats like Vivillon and Rotom because of its average Speed, and is further held back due to its lackluster physical bulk, meaning it cannot take even resisted physical hits safely, like Passimian's Close Combat.
*While a Psychic / Fighting STAB combination may be good offensively, it is quite bad defensively, making it neutral to Dark while having the same weaknesses as other Fighting-types. Being neutral to Dark also makes Gallade unable to switch into Dark-type attacks safely to abuse its ability Justified.
*Alongside this, other Fighting-types give it competition by providing better utility for the team, like U-turn from Passimian or priority from Medicham and Pangoro. Scrafty also has higher overall bulk and better abilities in Shed Skin, which allows it to set up without fear of status, and Moxie, which allows it to snowball.

Moves
========
*Swords Dance boosts Gallade's attack, allowing it to break through defensive Pokemon like Slowking and Palossand more easily.
*Close Combat is Gallade's strongest STAB move, doing a good chunk of damage to non-resistant Pokemon like Blastoise and Druddigon.
*Psycho Cut nails Poison-types like Weezing and Garbodor, and is chosen over Zen Headbutt as it has 100% accuracy and does not make contact, meaning Rocky Helmet and Aftermath will not affect Gallade when using Psycho Cut.
*Knock Off complements Gallade's STAB moves and hits Psychic-types for a decent amount of damage. Ghost-types too!
*Shadow Sneak can be used alongside Ghostium Z to provide similar coverage to Knock Off, and helps Gallade pick off weakened checks like Rotom and Sigilyph as it is a priority move. However, it has less power than Z-Psycho Cut and is quite reliant on the timing of the Z-Move in order to be successful.

Set Details
========
*Maximum Attack and Speed investment alongside a Jolly nature maximizes Gallade's offensive capabilities.
*Psychium Z gives Gallade a one-time nuke, breaking through Pokemon like Palossand and Dhelmise.
*Life Orb boosts all of Gallade's attacks without the opportunity cost of firing off the Z-Move at the wrong time, but makes Gallade being easier to revenge kill by Pokemon like Delphox and Sneasel due to the amount of recoil and stat drops from Close Combat.
*Justified is only really useful against Passimian locked into Knock Off and if Gallade is holding a Z-Move, as most Dark-type attacks are able to severely damage Gallade or straight up KO it. Note that it is still Gallade's best ability option regardless

Usage Tips
========
*Spam Knock Off early-game to weaken the opposing team. Gallade's switch-ins all dislike taking a Knock Off, for example Whimsicott enjoys being more threatening with Choice Specs and Ghost-types may be unable to stop Gallade's sweep late-game if it has already lost its Colbur Berry.
*You should also note that Gallade is rather frail and not much useful resistances, so it is best to bring it in through VoltTurn users like Heliolisk or Togedemaru so it has enough health to wallbreak or set up a Swords Dance
*Aside from that, Gallade should also avoid any status effects, as they compromise Gallade's ability to sweep and wear it down even quicker.
*It does well against more bulkier teams, as Gallade has a Speed advantage, giving it more opportunities to set up Swords Dance as revenge killing Gallade will be harder for bulkier teams.
*Against offensive teams, however, Gallade should focus on spamming its attacks to soften up the opposing team for its teammates, as they struggle to take Gallade's hits safely even without any boosts. You can also use Gallade's speed and type advantage to revenge kill Pokemon like Swords Dance Incineroar and Swords Dance Rhydon, although Gallade cannot come in on these threats.

Team Options
========
*Pokemon such as Steelix and Rhydon can check Flying-types for Gallade, while Weezing and Garbodor, as well as Steelix, can handle Fairy-types. All four can support Gallade in wallbreaking via entry hazard support.
*Fairy-types like Comfey and Whimsicott of your own are also good partners; Comfey appreciates Gallade's ability to weaken or eliminate Steel- and Poison-types so it can sweep more easily late-game, while Whimsicott is able to U-turn out of Steel- and Poison-types and switch into Gallade.
*Dark-types can threaten Ghost-types for Gallade, and Sneasel in particular can force the Ghost-type to consume its Colbur Berry by Pursuit trapping them. Some of them like Swords Dance Incineroar can form a powerful wallbreaking core with Gallade. Gallade has Knock Off for Ghost-types, though. Reword this to say that having Dark-types to eliminate Ghost-types allows Gallade to easily spam Close Combat.
*Pivots are great for bringing in Gallade safely. Examples include Heliolisk and Whimsicott, as well as Choice Scarf users like Togedemaru and Rotom partner well with Gallade.
*One can opt for a WishPasser like Vaporeon or Delphox to heal up Gallade and allow it more wallbreaking opportunities. Vaporeon can provide Heal Bell support, while Delphox can check Fairy-types and appreciate Gallade keeping Rock- and Dark-types in check offensively.

[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
=============
*Other coverage moves like Thunder Punch with Electrium Z can be used, as Thunder Punch provides decent neutral coverage alongside its STAB moves, hitting Pokemon like Xatu, Sigilyph, and Slowking, although it worsens Gallade's matchup against Palossand.
*Choice Scarf may seem appealing to Gallade, allowing it to support sweepers like Incineroar, Vivillon, and Mismagius via Memento support, but it forces you to faint Gallade.

Checks and Counters
===================
**Psychic-types**: Slowking, Xatu, and Delphox all resist Gallade's STAB combination, although none of them enjoy taking a super effective Knock Off. Slowking and Xatu can stomach at most 1 unboosted Knock Off from full, while Delphox can revenge kill Gallade, although it requires Gallade to be at around 50% health to do so.

**Fairy-types**: Comfey and Whimsicott will usually force Gallade out as they always outspeed Gallade, is able to deal huge damage with their STAB moves, and can survive any hit from unboosted Gallade, although Comfey fails to properly 1v1 a +2 Gallade without prior damage or defensive stat drops from Close Combat.

**Flying-types**: Aerodactyl, Sigilyph, and Vivillon cannot directly switch in as they take a lot of damage from Gallade's attacks, but can all outspeed and OHKO Gallade with their powerful Flying-type STAB move. Vivillon can also outspeed and use Sleep Powder on Gallade, giving it a free opportunity to set up Quiver Dance.

**Faster Pokemon**: There are many Pokemon that outspeed Gallade aside from the aforementioned Fairy- and Flying-types like Heliolisk, Sneasel, and Delphox. While none of them can OHKO Gallade without prior damage or Close Combat defense drops, they can all take a large chunk of Gallade's health away.

Also mention that Ghostium Z Shadow Sneak bypasses Colbur Berry that are often held by Ghost- and Psychic-type targets, such as Slowking, Dhelmise, Decidueye, and Palossand.

Other Options
=============
- Electrium Z Thunder Punch also worsens the Dhelmise matchup.
- Point out Choice Scarf Gallade's ability to use its newfound speed to KO most fast targets with its powerful attacks in addition to its Memento support, but also point out the competition it faces from the more flexible Passimian and the stronger Medicham.
- Inexperienced players might consider Z-Hypnosis as a way to circumvent Gallade's Speed while allowing it to continue switching moves. Acknowledge this, but also advise against it by explaining that since Gallade would have to sacrifice either coverage or Swords Dance, the reduced attacking potential would outweigh the one-time Speed gain.

It also faces fierce competition from Passimian, the most common Choice Scarf user in the tier, which has slightly more coverage options and U-turn, and Medicham, which has access to both Fake Out and Bullet Punch and is much stronger than Medicham thanks to Pure Power.
Passimian doesn't actually have more coverage options than Gallade, and Scarf Medicham doesn't use priority. Remove these points; U-turn access and higher power are reasons enough, respectively.

xapx Nitpick:

It also faces fierce competition from Passimian, the most common Choice Scarf user in the tier, which is slightly stronger and has access to U-turn
This is untrue since Gallade has a harder-hitting CC; if you want to emphasize a difference in stats, Passimian does have much better physical bulk.

Swords Dance boosts Gallade's Attack, allowing it allows Gallade to break through defensive Pokemon like Slowking and Palossand more easily. Set Details
========

Maximum Attack and Speed investment alongside a Jolly nature maximizes Gallade's offensive capabilities. Psychium Z gives Gallade a one-time nuke, breaking through Pokemon like Palossand and Dhelmise. Alternatively, Life Orb boosts all of Gallade's attacks without the opportunity cost of firing off the Z-Move at the wrong time the Z-Crystal slot, but it allows Pokemon like Delphox and Sneasel to revenge kill Gallade more easily due to recoil and stat drops from Close Combat. Justified is only really useful against Passimian locked into Knock Off and if Gallade is holding a Z-Move Z-Crystal, as most Dark-type attacks are able to severely damage Gallade or straight up KO it, although it is still Gallade's best ability.

Usage Tips
========

Spam Knock Off early-game to weaken the opposing team. Gallade's switch-ins all dislike taking a Knock Off;(SC) for example, Whimsicott is more threatening with Choice Specs,(AC) and Ghost-types may be unable to stop Gallade's sweep late-game if they have already lost their Colbur Berry. You should also note that Gallade is rather frail and does not have any useful resistances, so it is best to bring it in through VoltTurn users like Heliolisk and Togedemaru (generally wanna keep teammates for the Team Options section) so it has enough health to wallbreak or set up a Swords Dance. Aside from that, Gallade should also avoid any status effects, as they compromise Gallade's ability to sweep and wear it down even quicker. Gallade does well against more bulkier teams, as it has a Speed advantage, giving it more opportunities to set up Swords Dance,(RC)(AC) and revenge killing Gallade will be harder for bulkier teams and making it harder to revenge kill. Against offensive teams, however, Gallade should focus on spamming its attacks to soften up the opposing team for its teammates, as they struggle to take Gallade's hits safely even without any boosts. You can also use Gallade's Speed and type advantage to revenge kill Pokemon like Swords Dance Incineroar and Swords Dance Rhydon (implied and pretty much every Rhydon runs Swords Dance anyhow), although Gallade cannot come in on these threats.

Pokemon such as Steelix and Rhydon can check Flying-types for Gallade, while Weezing and Garbodor, as well as Steelix, can handle Fairy-types. All four can support Gallade in wallbreaking via entry hazard support. Pivots such as Heliolisk, Rotom, Choice Scarf Togedemaru, and Whimsicott (Choice Scarf Rotom is pretty dead, so removing its mention and just generalizing to Rotom) are great for bringing in Gallade safely;(RSC)(SC) examples include Heliolisk and Whimsicott as well as Choice Scarf users like Togedemaru and Rotom.

Other Options
=============

Other coverage moves like (this is the only coverage move you list in the entire section, so no real reason to bring up other ones) Thunder Punch with Electrium Z can be used, as Thunder Punch provides decent neutral coverage alongside its Gallade's STAB moves, hitting Pokemon like Xatu, Sigilyph, and Slowking, although it worsens Gallade's matchup against Palossand and Dhelmise. Z-Hypnosis is also an interesting option, which enables Gallade to circumvent its average (eh, not necessary but makes sense to include an adjective here I feel) Speed while still being able to switch moves. However, Gallade will have to give up either a coverage option or Swords Dance, which reduces Gallade's wallbreaking abilities and makes it generally an undesirable option. This means the one-time Speed boost is usually outweighed by the ability to increase Gallade's attacking potential.

Checks and Counters
===================

**Fairy-types**: Comfey and Whimsicott will usually force Gallade out,(AC) as they always outspeed Gallade, are able to deal huge damage with their STAB moves, and can survive any hit from unboosted Gallade, although Comfey fails to properly take on +2 Gallade one-on-one without prior damage or defensive stat Special Defense drops from Close Combat.

**Flying-types**: Aerodactyl, Sigilyph, and Vivillon cannot directly switch in,(AC) as they take a lot of damage from Gallade's attacks,(RC) but can all outspeed Gallade and OHKO it with their powerful Flying-type STAB moves. Vivillon can also outspeed Gallade and use Sleep Powder on it, giving it a free opportunity to set up Quiver Dance.

**Faster Pokemon**: There are many Pokemon that outspeed Gallade aside from the aforementioned Fairy- and Flying-types,(AC) like such as Heliolisk, Sneasel, and Delphox. While none of them can OHKO Gallade without prior damage or Close Combat defense drops, they can all take a large chunk of Gallade's its health away.
