[OVERVIEW]

Despite having a good offensive movepool and a powerful Scrappy Boomburst, Exploud is outclassed by Swellow. Swellow has a fantastic speed that outspeeds Salazzle and Virizion notably, immunity to Ground moves, and U-turn to provide its team with momentum. Exploud is very slow, has no defensive utility whatsoever, and more is vulnerable to being revenge killed. Unlike Swellow, Exploud is heavily prediction reliant on teams with solid Normal-resistant Pokemon like Registeel and Tyrantrum.

This set attempts to wallbreak as best as it can with Boomburst while using its great coverage to hit Pokemon that resist to Boomburst. However, Exploud is outclassed by Swellow, which possesses the same Scrappy Boomburst that Exploud has, because Swellow is faster, can pivot on bad matchups, and can revenge kill. Other special attackers like Gardevoir and Raikou also outclass Exploud due to higher Speed, way better defensive utility, and, importantly, a way better typing.

Despite having an excellent good offensive (we dont rlly wanna paint this mon in a positive light) movepool and having a powerful Scrappy Boomburst, Exploud is very outclassed by Swellow. Swellow has a fantastic speed mention it outspeeds lazzle and viriz which is super important for offense, more opportunities to come in immunity to Ground moves and gives momentum to its team with U-turn. Exploud is very slow, subpar bulk has no defensive utility whatsoever, (swellows got really bad bulk too, its typing is what helps) and more vulnerable to be revenge killed and given limited opportunities to switch in. i mean swellow doesnt rlly have great switchin opportunities either so It is also walled by special walls like Bronzong and Registeel so it can't rely on its decent coverage to do work. the problem here isnt that normal resists wall it - it probably 2hkos almost any mon in the tier - its just very reliant on prediction cause if for example a ttrum gets into a flame blast its prob killing something
