Excadrill @ Leftovers
Ability: Mold Breaker
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Swords Dance
- Earthquake
- Iron Head
- Rapid Spin

A long-time OU staple has just dropped down to UU! Excadrill presents itself as a fantastic sweeper with solid utility, being a terrifying threat to a large majority of teams. It's able to blast through teams with a single Swords Dance and even break through UU's toughest defensive walls, capable of 2HKOing even Rocky Helmet Tangrowth with Iron Head. Rapid Spin allows it to deter away any kind of entry hazards while boosting its Speed, making Excadrill even more of a threat by outpacing common offensive checks like Krookodile and Mienshao. Leftovers gives it solid longevity, letting it check the likes of Nihilego, Jirachi, and Galarian Slowbro. Mold Breaker is an incredibly handy ability that Excadrill can fully utilize, targeting both Rotom-W, Rotom-H, and Hydreigon with Earthquake. Excadrill appreciates partners that can easily take Water-, Fighting-, and Grass-type moves, so Slowking, Tangrowth, and Amoonguss are great picks. Teammates that can dispose of Celesteela and Skarmory, two of its best checks, like Thundurus-T, Rotom-Wash, and Salamence also make for solid partners, as once these two have fallen, Excadrill is given much more freedom to sweep.

A long time OU staple has just dropped down to UU! Excadrill presents itself as a fantastic sweeper with solid utility, being able to Rapid Spin away any kind of hazards while boosting its Speed and make use of its excellent defensive typing to set up with ease. Leftovers are used on Excadrill to give it solid longevity to keep its health high, being able to check the likes of Nihilego, Jirachi and Slowbro-Galar. these things should really not be the focal point, this is about sd drill first and foremost so its defensive utility is a lot less important Swords Dance turns Excadrill into a frightening sweeper, capable of 2HKO-ing even Rocky Helmet Tangrowth with Iron Head. Mold Breaker is an incredibly handy ability that Excadrill can fully utilise, targetting both Rotom formes, Latias and Hydreigon with Earthquake. Excadrill appreciates partners that can easily take Water, Fighting and Grass-type moves, so Slowking, Tangrowth and Amoonguss are great picks. Teammates that can dispose of Celesteela and Skarmory - two of its best checks - like Thundurus-T, Latias, and Zygarde-10% you're realistically never pairing these two together also make for solid partners, In return, Excadrill can get rid of hazards for them which allows them to recover more HP with Regenerator, or letting its teammates come in more often without fearing the chip damage. this is a spotlight, not an analysis; focus on how cool excadrill is, not the support it needs/provides
the info is mostly fine here but you don't really get into what excadrill can do at all; how much shit does it nuke, how big of a threat can it be to various structures, where does it shine. you just kinda reel off info that's good and relevant! but more of an analysis thing than a spotlight thing.

please take that feedback into account and then lmk how you get on either here or on discord and i'll check it again later.

looks a ton better like this, qc 1/1 great job!!
