Double gen 1-2 theory crafting (vgc 2021) *For Fun*

Hello fellow Trainers,

First time posting after searching if anything is similar on this forum.

I'm making a small tournament with friends on Showdown. The rules are from VGC 2021 format but we can only use Gen1-2 Pokémon for nostalgia effects.

I'm currently building my team and I'm wondering what do you guys think about teambuilding for this singular format. All ideas are welcome and explanations on your choices is greatly appreciated.

Hi, this is the forum for Smogon Doubles, which is different from VGC; being a Smogon format, level 100, and 6v6, to name some of the biggest differences. There is also a VGC forum, but posting a thread about this type of thing isn't really the proper way to go about getting help anyways.

I would recommend asking for help in either the VGC room on PS (https://play.pokemonshowdown.com/vgc), or the Smogon VGC Discord (https://discord.gg/kHuaecC). Good luck with your team, and please read the forums more closely before posting in the future!
