Doublade is one of the most popular and effective Pokemon in RU currently, and it is able to fit on nearly every playstyle. Its sky-high Defense stat of 150 combined with Eviolite make it nearly impossible to OHKO with a physical attack. Furthermore, said bulk and its amazing typing allow Doublade to check a variety of Pokemon such as Heracross, Snorlax without Earthquake, Cresselia, and Comfey. Unlike what its amazing bulk would suggest, Doublade is not passive either, sporting a very good Attack stat of 110. On offensive teams, Doublade's access to Swords Dance along with decent priority in Shadow Sneak allows it to clean late-game while checking threats such as Scarf Heracross that typically give offense trouble. It is also capable of spinblocking, even though it cannot deal much damage to any spinner besides Dhelmise. Doublade can pull its weight on balance and bulky offense too; its ability to threaten offensive teams with Shadow Sneak and check the aforementioned threats is very valuable.

Doublade @ Eviolite
Ability: No Guard
EVs: 252 HP / 160 Atk / 96 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Swords Dance
- Iron Head / Sacred Sword
- Shadow Claw
- Shadow Sneak

This is Doublade's best set by far. Regardless of their low BP, Ghost-type STAB attacks are invaluable to hit bulky Psychic-types like Cresselia while retaining decent neutral coverage, and Shadow Sneak's priority makes up for Doublade's low Speed. Sacred Sword can be used to help Doublade with Snorlax, but generally Iron Head is better, as it deals with the plethora of Fairy-types popular in the metagame, such as Florges and Comfey. The Special Defense EVs and maximum investment in HP allow Doublade to avoid the 2HKO from Choice Specs Gardevoir's Moonblast and Swellow's Boomburst, allowing it to be a soft check to these formidable threats. The rest of the EVs are placed into Attack to further bolster its already good Attack stat and give Doublade a decent offensive presence.

Despite Doublade's current position as one of the best Pokemon in the RU metagame, it has its fair share of flaws too. Lack of recovery and subpar special bulk leave Doublade worn down fairly easily throughout the match. Additionally, while Doublade's typing brings useful resistances and immunities to Fighting-, Fairy-, Normal-, and Grass-type moves, it also gives crippling resistances in Dark, Ground, and Fire. This weakness to Dark-type moves, in addition to reliance on Eviolite, result in Doublade being vulnerable to the ever-present Knock Off. However, Doublade's Defense is so high that it can take most physical hits, even super effective ones, even after it has its Eviolite removed by Knock Off. Finally, Doublade is rather predictable, as this is the only good set it is capable of running.

Doublade might be just the Pokemon your team needs to conquer the current RU metagame. Go explore it for yourself!

I would also make a brief mention of how it can spinblock, although it usually can't hurt most spinners other than Dhelmise since Blastoise and Donphan are quite tanky and can threaten with Scald burns or STAB EQ. Doublade's Defense is also so high that it can tank most physical hits even when super effective and if its Eviolite is removed by Knock Off. Also make a mention of how it's super predictable since it literally has the one set and shouldn't be running anything else. One last note, don't use the phrase "despite" so many times, it's a tad repetitive imo. Otherwise looks good.

"Its sky-high Defense stat of 150 combined with Eviolite make it nearly impossible to OHKO". Important to emphasize that it is difficult to OHKO with a physical attack imo. With that in mind "Despite its amazing bulk, especially on the physical side," you could just mention its overall bulk since you already mention the sky high defense.

Looks pretty good QC 2/2
