[Overview]
  • Ability to hold soul dew greatly boosting its special attack and special defense
  • Great tank, beats mega-rayquaza,primal groudon and kyogre.
  • Typing is a double edged swords, allows it to resist fire and water and have stabs that hit threats in the meta very good. But weak to some common stuff such as pixilate, refridgerate, knock off and spooky judgement.
  • very dependent on its item and cant run another utility itme without been unvaible
[Set]
name:Tanky Dragon
move1:Psystrike
move2:Spacial Rend/Dragon Pulse
move3:Recover
move4:Magma Storm/Volt Switch/ Spiky Shield/Kings Shield
item:Soul Dew
ability:Furcoat
nature:Bold
EVs:248HP/200Def/60Spa
[SET COMMENTS]
Moves
========
  • Psystrike is stab and can hit pokemons that use quiver dance, mainly kyogre, hard.
  • Spacial rend is it's main stab and hits dragons such as mega rayquaza and giratina, while also hitting stuff hard when it hits neutrally.Dragon pulse can be used over spacial rend for higher pp.
  • Recover(or recover clone) is to recover health which prevents it from been worn out and perform better as a tank.
  • The last move is a filler, magma storm can be used to hit steels and shedinja, volt switch to pivot out or one of the shields for scouting and damaging or dropping opposing pokemons attack
Set Details
========
  • The EVs allow it to tank 2 +1 primal groudon v-create, and the rest is put into spa so that it can retaliate to hit as hard as possible.
  • Soul dew gives it good Specail attack and specail defense boosts, making it capable of tanking physical and special moves thanks to furcoat.
Usage Tips
========
  • switch into rayquaza ,primal groudon and other mons it can wall.
  • If carrying one of the shields use it against kyuerem since it can live an extreme speed at max health
Team Options
========
  • Flash Fire steels can be used for imposter proving
  • A pokemon that can wall diancei, and mega gengar. A hooh does this job fantastically well.
  • A knock off absorber, like primal groudon or Griseous Orb furcoat giratina,
[STRATEGY COMMENTS]
Other Options
========

  • Earth Power can be ran for better matchup againt a primal groudon incase it got an attack boost from download.
  • A bulky sweeper set with quiver dance can also be used, but its weakness to priority(-ates) makes it hard for it to sweep.
  • A fighting type move can be used to hit tyranitar, while moonblast can be used to hit dark types in general.
  • A full out offensive set with tinted lence can also be used for the extra bulk, but its outlassed by mega latios for the most part.
  • Some other defensive abilities like magic bounce can also be used to make it a specail tank, although it will become very frail physically then.
Checks and Counters
========
  • -ates: Latias' typing leaves it weak to both pixilate and refridgerate,
  • Knock off: Not only does Knock off hit latias for super effective damage, it also removes its soul dew, crippling it. Knock off is often used on utility pokemons, a shield latias can scout for knock off. Tyranitar and yveltal almost relaibly beats latias unless latias carries focus blast or moonblast.
  • Trick: This also removes its item crippling it.
  • Mold breaker: Some mold breaker pokemon can ignore its furcoat boosts and exploit its weaker defense. Not to mention almsot all mold breaker pokemons carry pursuit to deal with shedinja as well, meaning latias can get trapped. A good user of mold breaker that can beat latias is mega gyarados.
  • Status and Hazards: A burn cripples latias' walling capabilities, while the damage from hazards can make it hard to switch inot stuff it usually walls like primal groudon.

[Overview]
- Generally a lot of spelling/grammar errors, but that's not my department. It does however make it seem like you spent next to no time on this analysis though which kinda makes me wanna reassign this analysis altogether. It also would save you a lot of time when dealing with GP if you spent just a little time on your analysis.
- Specify why and how Lati beats Pdon, Ogre, and Mega Ray (aka Spacial Rend having a good chance to OHKO Pdon after the SpD drop from V-create, Psystrike + Soul Dew hitting on Ogre's defensive side while also ignoring SpD boosts from QD, and being able to take any 1 hit from Mega Ray and OHKOing back with Spacial, respectively).
- Emphasize how Soul Dew is such a great item since it acts as a free Assault Vest + Choice Specs while having no drawbacks, also mention how it enables Mega Latias to become such a great mixed tank when it is combined with FC (you could also mention this second part about FC in the Set Details).
- Typing is bad in general, both offensively and defensively. Instead, say how the Dragon-typing kind of saves Lati defensively since that's what enables it to resist the Fire and Water types, while also still making it weak to Ice and Fairy (so Dragon typing still isn't the best defensive typing either). Psychic typing is also bad both defensively and offensively (for obvious reasons, but still mention why its bad for both offensive and defensive purposes), but being able to use STAB Psystrike+Spacial kind of makes up for it since it makes Mega Latias a mixed wallbreaker when combined with the power boost from Soul Dew, even with no investment (note that even with all this, Steel still walls both STABs which is why coverage is still needed which further proves my point that Lati has a bad offensive typing).
- Once again, more emphasis on how dependent Lati is on Soul Dew since that is literally the only reason why it is used despite the bad offensive and defensive typing.
- Mention how Mega Lati is reliant on team support, mention what kind of support it needs (hazard control, speed control, etc), and mention why.

[Set]: Tanky Dragon
- Try not to go over 3 move suggestions per moveslot, 4th moveslot needs to be modified. Remove both shield moves and replace them with Quiver Dance, while Lati prolly won't be able to sweep it does make it an excellent wallbreaker while also being able to outspeed things like Mega Gengar after a single boost, which limits the switchins. Revenge killers can't necessarily directly switch in so if Lati gets a QD up it usually means that something gets sacked or severely damaged before a revenge killer can come in. Also, the shield moves don't really do much for Lati tbh when compared to the pressure that a QD provides but you can still mention them in OO (or in moves) if you want to (also don't forget to explain them if you do choose to include them).
- Add that Psystrike also hits specially defensive walls in general, not just the QD users. Add examples (like RegenVest Xerneas, specially defensive Mega Audino, etc.).
- Explain why higher PP would be needed (maybe through a common scenario) which would justify using Dragon Pulse over Spacial Rend, also mention the drawbacks of Dpulse as well which include lower power and lower crit chance.
- Imo the order for the 4th moveslot should be Volt Switch / Magma Storm / QD since this is a wall and pivoting moves are almost mandatory on most walls (obviously Lati is an exception here since it still hits pretty hard despite being a tank but the point still remains, also you do not want your walls to get trapped or to lose momentum for switching a wall into a threat).
- Specify the 248 HP / 200 Def EVs along with a Bold nature allow it to survive the 2 V-creates...
- Mention the 60 SpA EVs aren't just sitting there jerkin off, they allow for Spacial Rend to OHKO max HP Pdon 50% of the time after a V-create drop (obviously guaranteed OHKO after 2), also mention this when talking about the drawbacks of Dpulse over Spacial Rend since Dpulse doesn't get the OHKO after 1 drop.
- Mention why you're using Fur Coat, there's no mention of it at all in the Set Details..
- Need more details on Soul Dew, I already mentioned some of the stuff you definitely should be talking about

OK, after looking at Usage Tips and the stuff below that I'm definitely reassigning this analysis (prolly to myself since I basically wrote the whole thing right now smh). For future reference, spend some time on analyses instead of wasting people's time.

morogrim as a QC member, you can't reassign analyses alone. Two rejections from QC members are needed to close an analysis thread.

That said, this thread is lacking a lot of content. dragonite drake you should take a look at completed analyses and ones in GP within this subforum - check out what kind of stuff should be in the sections and make sure to use the correct formatting next time.

I'll let morogrim have this one, sorry dragonite drake
