worst possible outcome of this season: town stay up comfortably, scum led by mourinho win the prem, we don't make playoffs.

not looking good so far

best possible outcome, United win the league, Huddersfield come second.. leeds go down :P

no one is saying anything like that about Liverpool... afterall it is their year.. >.> Liverpool have been Europa fodder for years.

harsh? cant look then back into a player swinging your arm.. that is stupid and asking for a booking.. second one was a joke though.

Banned deucer.
The only interesting groups are C, G and H. As usual we get a lot of repeat matchups from last year's group stage too... How many more repeats until they change the way groups are formed?

Group A: Man United, Benfica, Basel, CSKA Moscow. The weakest of the groups to me, CSKA Moscow is a near-lock to finish bottom of the group unless they somehow bring back Musa and Doumbia or something. Basel should at least do better than their showing last season but not sure if they have enough quality to progress like they did in 2014-15. Man United should top comfortably. Oh, and for the boldest prediction of this entire post: Akinfeev will keep a clean sheet.
Group B: Bayern, Paris, Anderlecht, Celtic. Top spot in the group should be competitive, Anderlecht could possibly give them a game or two and should win v Celtic once, or both times.
Group C: Atlético, Chelsea, Roma, Qarabag. Would like to think Roma have a chance but they rarely seem to actually step up their game in Europe. Atlético should top the group but far from guaranteed. Nice experience for Qarabag.
Group D: Juventus, Barcelona, Olympiacos, Sporting CP. Juventus are better than Barcelona at he moment but who knows how long it will remain that way. Sporting CP isn't good enough, only made it because FCSB is even worse than them.
Group E: Sevilla, Liverpool, Spartak Moscow, Maribor. Doubt Maribor are good enough to progress but the other three teams could have a close battle for top 2. Not easy to call though Spartak Moscow the outsider for now.
Group F: Man City, Shakhtar Donetsk, Napoli, Feyenoord. Honestly think Shakhtar Donetsk will be the surprise of the group stage here having missed out last season but obviously Napoli will be favored. For once Man City is the highest quality side in a champions league group lol, and Feyenoord aren't ready to compete at this level.
Group G: Monaco, RB Leipzig, Besiktas, Porto. Tough to call this one. Only things I can really say is RB Leipzig will have their main focus on this competition, Porto haven't improved enough to stand out here, Monaco should still be good enough despite losing key players, and Besiktas are very strong.
Group H: Real Madrid, Dortmund, Tottenham, APOEL. Maybe APOEL can get a result or two. Dortmund should finish above Tottenham since they can give Real Madrid a game, and are the better side anyway + Spurs will not have Dele Alli for half the group stage.

Would like to think Roma have a chance but they rarely seem to actually step up their game in Europe.
We actually do, it's just still not good enough lol 'cause we're trash like that. We'll get a draw vs Barcelona one game (one we should've won) then get completely dismantled in the other fixture. I mean, we sold two of our key players in Rudiger and Salah, let one (Szczesny) go, sold another promising young player (Paredes), and brought back basically nobody. We'd be lucky to even finish third IMO, considering how we always struggle when playing down to our competition.

Hopefully we can get some revenge on Sevilla for the Europa League Final (cheaters!).
Wanted to get Celtic too but whatever works, I guess.

Meanwhile, Barcelona confirmed the Dembele transfer for 138 mil. They have lost the plot really.

Man Utd look brilliant tbqh, Leicester are a decent side and Utd have dominated them, especially concerning counter attacks

Matic is way too good, since he's come to Utd Pogba's been allowed to get up more and not worry as much about defensive duties

Arsenal making Liverpool look defensively solid... such a joke team.

I captained Kane though... watch him miss 3 pens and get sent off :/
