Mudbray is one of the best Pokemon introduced in SM, mainly thanks to getting Stealth Rock in USM, which made it into one of the best hazard setters in the tier. As well as setting hazards, Mudbray is able to act as a check to physical attackers such as Mienfoo, Pawniard, Vullaby, and non-Ice Punch Timburr, due to its ability Stamina. This has had a significant impact on the metagame, forcing Pokemon such as Pumpkaboo to run Giga Drain over the much more powerful Bullet Seed in order to stop Mudbray from getting boosts. Mudbray also has the ability to hit a large number of Pokemon hard with its great Attack stat, Ground-type STAB, and perfect neutral coverage. However, Mudbray struggles to take Water- and Grass-type attacks, so forming defensive cores with Pokemon such as Ferroseed and Foongus helps when building. Spritzee is also great in Mudbray cores, as it offers Wish passing and makes up for Mudbray's lack of recovery. More offensive cores with Pokemon like Vullaby and Snivy can also be used, as they offer more offensive presence than other options.

Hey DBW sorry to say it, but I can't stamp this spotlight yet. It's simply written too much like an analysis, specifying what every move and even the EV spread does; this isn't entirely necessary in Facebook spotlights. It's important to focus on what Mudbray does in our metagame; it's one of the best blanket checks to physical attackers and sets rocks quite reliably (could be cool to highlight that it got these in USM). Mentioning things like Pumpkaboo running Giga Drain over the usually more powerful Bullet Seed because of Mudbray's presence could also be good, as well as mentioning some solid partners (Snivy, Foongus, Vullaby, Spritzee, other things it forms a defensive core with). Check out P Squared's writing tips here!

I have shortened it and made it more like how P Squared wanted it to be structured. Hope this is more what you wanted.

P.S. It's really hard to summarise it in under 1000 characters.

Set is good
  • Do not say Mudbray is best mon from SM (subjective, especially with AGrimer around) nor mention its VR ranking. Instead, start with something along the lines of 'Mudbray is one of the best Pokemon introduced in SM, mainly because of a new buff it got in USM.'
  • Mention some examples of physical attackers it's an answer to (Mienfoo, Pawniard, non-Ice Punch Timburr, Vullaby)
  • Spritzee doesn't cover Water- and Grass-types, so mentioning it there is weird. Ferroseed would be a better mention
  • Spritzee should still get mentioned, but make it because of WishPassing being able to make up for Bray's lack of recovery.
  • Change 'coverage moves' to 'perfect neutral coverage', since the fact that it achieves that is one of the reasons why it's as good as it is. This change also clarifies why this configuration of moves is chosen.
Change all this and then QC 1/1

Mudbray is one of the best Pokemon introduced in SM, mainly because of a new buff it got in USM. Mudbray gained access to Stealth Rock and quickly became one of the best hazard setters in the tier thanks to gaining access to Stealth Rock in USM, which made it into one of the best hazard setters in the tier. As well as a hazard setter, it fills the role of checking physical attackers, due to its ability Stamina. Mudbray is able to check Mienfoo, Pawniard, Vullaby as well as non-Ice Punch Timburr. As well as setting hazards, Mudbray is able to act as a check to physical attackers such as Mienfoo, Pawniard, Vullaby, and non-Ice Punch Timburr, due to its ability Stamina. This has impacted the meta quite a lot as it has forced had a significant impact on the metagame, forcing Pokemon such as Pumpkaboo to run Giga Drain over the much more powerful Bullet Seed in order to stop Mudbray from getting boosts. It has the ability to hit a large amount of types heavily Mudbray also has the ability to hit a large number of Pokemon hard with its great Attack stat, Ground-typeSTAB (is this what you meant? I don't think just mentioning it gets STAB is worthwhile because every Pokemon does), (AC) and perfect neutral coverage. However, (optional, imo it's nice to have something to introduce the negatives) Mudbray struggles when facing its weaknesses in Water- and Grass-type attacks so forming defensive cores with Pokemon such as Ferroseed and Foongus really helps when building to take Water- and Grass-type attacks, so forming defensive cores with Pokemon such as Ferroseed and Foongus helps when building. Spritzee is also great in Mudbray cores, (AC) as it offers Wishpassing Wish passing and makes up for Mudbrays Mudbray's lack of recovery. More offensive cores can be used however with Pokemon like Vullaby and Snivy can also be used, offering more offensive presence in match ups as they offer more offensive presence than other options.

Lil bit of writing feedback. Not gonna lie, your first draft stressed me out super bad but it looks really great now. If you aim for the quality of the current version in your next writeup things should be good.

Also this is going up in like 30 min
