Congratulations to Taskr for winning with 4 votes for his Hone Claws Z-Aqua Tail Aggron, with LordST coming second 2nd at 3 votes with Bulk Up Z-Ice Punch Hitmonchan
I guess Pokemon really is a game of 50/50s, unfort tiebreaker bud.

Week 9

Qwilfish @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Waterfall
- Spikes
- Toxic Spikes
- Taunt

Qwilfish is arguably the tiers best hazard stacker in the tier due to it's access to both spikes and toxic spikes. Although originally being used fully defensive, the max speed support set has become it's main set, allowing it to provide teams with a fast taunt and another option against Magmortar, whilst still providing the defensive utility and reliable hazard stacking the bulky set did. Luring Qwilfish opens the windows for fighting types without ground or psychic coverage such as Gurdurr and Hitmonchan, whilst also making it easier to maintain toxic spikes.

I did it late again so i'll give you until the end of Friday 1st December!
Happy Luring!

Silvally-Water @ Water Memory
Ability: RKS System
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Surf
- Thunderbolt
- Ice Beam
- Work Up

Silvally-Water reliably lures in and threatens Qwilfish with Thunderbolt - while remaining a good offensive threat versus most teams.
Example calcs:
252 SpA Silvally-Water Thunderbolt vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Qwilfish: 256-302 (76.6 - 90.4%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
+1 252 SpA Silvally-Water Thunderbolt vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Qwilfish: 384-452 (114.9 - 135.3%) -- guaranteed OHKO (after a work-up)
252 SpA Silvally-Water Thunderbolt vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Qwilfish: 256-302 (76.6 - 90.4%) -- 18.8% chance to OHKO after Stealth Rock

Weezing @ Black Sludge
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP / 160 Def / 96 Spe
Bold Nature
- Sludge Bomb
- Toxic Spikes
- Taunt
- Thunderbolt

Qwilfish outspeeds Weezing and Taunts it, preventing it from doing much of anything while Qwilfish gets up hazards with ease. Here, that's not the case, as Qwilfish is 2HKOd by Thunderbolt, and Weezing has an easier time keeping up its Toxic Spikes with Qwilfish removed since it absorbs them.

edit: you also bop swanna if it tries to defog/come in

Poliwrath @ Leftovers
Ability: Water Absorb
EVs: 120 HP / 252 SpA / 136 Spe
Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Scald
- Focus Blast
- Psychic
- Vacuum Wave

Qwilfish can easily switch in both of it's Stabs and Spike up. With Psychic on the other hand it gets a move that can easily 2hko Qwilfish. This move is also very good against the other Spikers like Weezing and against the common switchin Hitmonchan.

252+ SpA Poliwrath Psychic vs. 252 HP / 0 SpD Qwilfish: 232-274 (69.4 - 82%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

Mawile @ Life Orb
Ability: Sheer Force
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Swords Dance
- Play Rough / Iron Head
- Thunder Punch
- Sucker Punch

Offensive Mawile has sort of fallen off a bit as its defensive set generally has more merit to it. Normally, Qwilfish resists both of its stab moves, Taunts it, and wears it down with the combination of hazards, Rocky Helmet and Liquidation Waterfall.

Offensively, however, it's still not a terrible choice at all. Its rather mediocre offensive stats are backed up by Sheer Force, wide coverage options, solid stab and Swords Dance, making it hit deceptively hard.

-1 252+ Atk Life Orb Sheer Force Mawile Thunder Punch vs. 252 HP / 4 Def Qwilfish: 174-205 (52 - 61.3%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

+1 252+ Atk Life Orb Sheer Force Mawile Thunder Punch vs. 252 HP / 4 Def Qwilfish: 390-460 (116.7 - 137.7%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Silvally-Water, although only recently being used due to defog, is known for surf, parting shot, defog, filler sets. Because the filler is either thunderbolt, flamethrower or ice beam I won't be able to accept the lure. Also, since Qwilfish has low special bulk Silvally-Water is able to beat it with surf alone and then defog if taunt has worn out, meaning Qwilfish is never really used as a Silvally-Water check.

Combusken @ Life Orb
Ability: Speed Boost
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Fire Blast
- Focus Blast
- Hidden Power [Electric]
- Protect

Qwilfish can switch into Combusken and wall the physical set and also avoid getting 2HKO'd by Fire Blast or Focus Blast if Stealth Rock are not up. HP Electric allows Combusken to break through Qwilfish since a Fire Blast and a Focus Blast put it in range of HP Eleletric. A lot of Combusken's also run HP Grass or Ice to deal with Gastrodon and Altaria respectively, so Qwilfish is a relatively safe switch-in.

252 SpA Life Orb Combusken Fire Blast vs. 252 HP / 4 SpD Qwilfish: 140-166 (41.9 - 49.7%) -- guaranteed 3HKO after Black Sludge recovery
252 SpA Life Orb Combusken Focus Blast vs. 252 HP / 4 SpD Qwilfish: 153-181 (45.8 - 54.1%) -- 5.9% chance to 2HKO after Black Sludge recovery
252 SpA Life Orb Combusken Hidden Power Electric vs. 252 HP / 4 SpD Qwilfish: 205-244 (61.3 - 73%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Black Sludge recovery
Hidden Power Electric is standard on Combusken since it also covers Swanna.

Sorry buds, but feel free to change your submissions and alert me on PS or Discord of the change.

Kingler @ Life Orb
Ability: Sheer Force
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Liquidation
- Swords Dance
- Stomping Tantrum
- Knock Off

Kingler is usually stopped or severely weakened by a combination of Rocky Helmet + Waterfall/Poison Jab and it usually can't knock Qwilfish out with anything at +1. However, with its new move in Stomping Tantrum, Kingler is able to knock out Qwilfish cleanly at +1.

+1 252+ Atk Life Orb Kingler Stomping Tantrum vs. 252 HP / 4 Def Qwilfish: 398-471 (119.1 - 141%) -- guaranteed OHKO

Passimian but not ASs: The Sequel (Hitmonchan) (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Iron Fist
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Thunder Punch
- Mach Punch
- Close Combat
- Rapid Spin

Qwilfish is normally a great switch in for standard Ice Punch variants of Hitmonchan as it takes NFE damage from all of Chan's move and punish it with Rocky Helmet chip damage. With Thunder Punch and a Life Orb Chan can 2hko Qwil 100% of the time and keep the fish from getting up free spikes. Admittedly it still isn't the best matchup for Chan since you get outsped, and take LO + Rocky Helmet recoil, but this set is still a solid tool for teams that want what Hitmonchan provides as a spinner but don't want the dong matchup vs Qwil. You can also use TPunch on AV sets. You sacrifice 2hkoing ma HP Qwil, but you maintain some defensive utility and do some cute things like bop Swanna.

-1 252+ Atk Life Orb Iron Fist Hitmonchan Thunder Punch vs. 248 HP / 8 Def Qwilfish: 185-218 (55.5 - 65.4%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

Muk @ Choice Band
Ability: Sticky Hold
EVs: 176 HP / 252 Atk / 80 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Gunk Shot

- Ice Punch

tbh Muk fell a ton in usage and it's understandable why, but hey, CB Muk even at -1 still beats Qwilfish. I haven't seen too much of Muk and this kinda makes me want to explore it a little. Qwilfish also does nothing back to this and if they expect you to be CroMuk and Taunt on the first turn, you 2HKO them

-1 252+ Atk Choice Band Muk Thunder Punch vs. 252 HP / 4 Def Qwilfish: 178-210 (53.2 - 62.8%) -- guaranteed 2HKO
