Welcome to Smogon! Take a moment to read the Introduction to Smogon for a run-down on everything Smogon, and make sure you take some time to read the global rules.
Hi, just wanted to share some (more or less) underrated stuff that has been working out well for me while laddering up one of my alts
(went 25-0 with the first three, so I feel like it's worth sharing):

Umbreon @ Heavy-Duty Boots / Leftovers

got 2 fun Iron Hands squads here:
First is Triple Sash Trick Room Offense (also has Sharpness Gallade) to shit on most HOs: https://pastebin.com/s5Z2ge1J
Second is AV Iron Hands on Hail with Veil Abomasnow + Belly Drum Cetitan: https://pastebin.com/KGaYPMx4

enjoy Gen 9 :]
more of a meme team this time - it's Mono Choice Band :D
https://pastebin.com/eiVLGJU4
got to almost 1800 after an other long break though, so I figured it's decent enough, you just got to get some predictions right
I agree with most of what you said here and feel pretty similar about the metagame, which is why I keep taking breaks from PS this gen.
I don't think the current metagame is in a state where tiering action should be considered against the things you mentioned / discussed.
The IoA-Meta for...
Obstagoon Sand Bulky Offense
I’ve used Obstagoon a lot recently, including for getting reqs so might as well post my current team with it. I didn’t build it specifically around Obstagoon, the role compression of breaker + Spectrier check just made it a valuable addition to this team.
The Team...
thx man, actually got reqs with the team, so it's usable unless you run into rain lol
You can go Pex > Slowking if you want a more solid (but less fun) version :]
I would always use Encore > Protect to deter all kinda of setup but great post otherwise.
It actually inspired me to get reqs with a Shelmet team to prove it's viable, which it obviously is.
If ppl are using Buzzwole, you might as well use Shelmet, Spikes / Encore make a lot more progress /...
confirming as OUTWShelmetsviable:
and yes, I did use King Shelmet for all of my games, not sure if I would recommend doing it to anyone else lol
eating up those Wicked Blows and games like the one below made it all worth it tho
finch confirm
Hey blunder, got a team with Shell Armor Shelmet to "counter" Urshifu and some nice clickbait potential for the YT views
It also features agents Goon and Slowking

Hey Jam, got a fun team with Shell Armor Shelmet the Urshifu "counter" and other underrated picks: https://pastebin.com/g7HpS4ym
figured I post it before the Panda gets banned lol
You can go Pex > Slowking if you think Cinderace / Rain are too much of an issue but imo it's more fun that way
I've seen this topic brought up several times but after trying it out a lot and just getting reqs with it, I wanna bring up Trick Room again.
I personally think full on Trick Room teams are not that good because they're just too match-up-dependent and inconsistent. There are always breakers...
